My scholarship alleviated financial stresses that my parents have felt for consecutive semesters, and lightened the burden I felt for causing this stress on my family. It has reminded me that there are people who believe in my vision for the future and support my passion to be an educator. Donors Open Doors by providing
students the means to turn the knob.

My scholarships provided me with the opportunity to get necessary resources for my classes and allowed me to step back from work and focus more on my education. I’m a non-traditional student who came out of the military. Without the help of donors and scholarships, I don’t know that I would be as successful in school as I am today. Donors Open Doors by allowing
students who thought a dream would never become a reality see that dream come true.
