UNIVERSITY OF THE SOUTH INTERNATIONAL STUDENT GRANTS Know as "Sewanee" by its students, faculty, staff and friends, The University of The South offers an unmatched educational experience. The University remains purposefully small and dedicated to building a sense of community. Financial assistance for international students is available in the form of Sewanee’s International Student Grant program. These grants range from $5,000 a year to over $40,000 per year (fully covering tuition, fees, room, and board). To be considered for the International Student Grant Program, students must submit all required application materials (including the Statement of Financial Responsibility & all official financial documentation) and an International Student Grant Essay by the early action deadline of December 1st. EASTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY ACADEMIC MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS In 1849, the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Michigan formally paved the way for the establishment of Michigan State Normal School, with the exclusive purposes of instructing persons in the art of teaching; providing a good common school education; and giving instruction in the mechanic arts, husbandry, agricultural chemistry and the laws of the United States. Over the years, Eastern Michigan University (EMU) has educated thousands of sons and daughters of Michigan, the nation, and the world. The National Scholars Program Scholarship is awarded through your admissions application and is only awarded to non-resident students. To be awarded, graduate students must have at least a 3.6 undergraduate GPA and cannot have a previous-earned master's degree. The EMU Success Scholarship is awarded through your admissions application and is only awarded upon admission to EMU to non-resident students. MOUNT HOLYOKE COLLEGE SHOWCASES STUDENT RESEARCH AND INTERNSHIPS As the first of the Seven Sisters—the female equivalent of the once predominantly male Ivy League—Mount Holyoke established higher education for women as a serious endeavor. The symposium, which is in its ninth year, is intended to demonstrate the strong connections between academic work at Mount Holyoke College and its practical application in the world. On October 12, more than 600 people attended Mount Holyoke College's LEAP Symposium, the College's annual showcase of student research projects and internship experiences. In 36 panels held throughout the day at the Kendade Science Center, 149 students presented on their summer experiences and shared reflections on what they learned about themselves. UNIVERSITY OF NORTH TEXAS OFFERS INTENSIVE ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROGRAM FOR BUSINESS STUDENTS The University of North Texas is a student-centered public research university located in Denton, Texas, a safe and pleasant community located just outside Dallas, the 4th largest metroplex in the US.
