In Ireland, you will experience a fascinating country with traditional music, a fascinating language, and beautiful sceneries. The education in Ireland has a very good reputation and attract many foreign students every year. The teachers are experi- enced, and the classes are often quite small with approximately 17 pupils. Common subjects are science, IT, language, and economy. You you will be able to choose from several additional subjects of interest.

Some exchange students get placed in the Transition Year. This year is usually not as demanding as the other years, which means that you get plenty of time to improve your language skills as well as to catch up with various subjects. Tá Gaeilge agat? Your host family and teachers will speak English, but many speak Irish as well. Why not take the chance to learn another language while you’re at it!

Private boarding schools in Ireland are always a popular option amongst Irish and international students. School staff provide great pastoral support, creating a home away from home for the duration of the student’s stay. In addition, to emphasise the importance of family in Ireland many boarding schools close every (or every second) weekend and students return home to be with family. Educatius will organise a host family for students who attend these schools. Selecting the Private Day school programme opens up the possibility to live and study in exciting cities such as Dublin and Cork or in typically Irish towns throughout the country.

My favorite moment, in all the great ones I had was probably the first night I spent with my host siblings. We were just talking and listening to music but it was just like I had already lived in the family for years.
