The classes in the German high schools are usually quite informal, and students are encouraged participate actively in classroom discussions. Your classes will be in German, but you will get all the help you need from your teachers. Modern cities such as Munich and Berlin are hubs of technology, but history buffs will also appreciate monuments such as the sombering Holocaust Memorial and the symbolic Brandenburg Gate. For those who love outdoor sports, the Black Forest’s scenic beauty is unsurpassed and the slopes of Bavaria offer some of the best downhill and crosscountry skiing on the continent.
