To understand the basic Aerospace Mechanics of Materials, it is a must for you to understand Stress, Strain and Hooke’s Law; Axial Loaded Members; Torsion; Bending Moment in Beams; Transverse Shear in Beams; Combined Loading; Stress Transformations; De ection of Beams chie y using the Generalized Hooke’s Law for Basic Load Carrying Members; Mohr’s Circle. We design this course to facilitate your understanding to solve your problems on Aerospace Mechanics of Materials and to oversee the basic material and geometry dependent analysis of structures.
Assessment This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.
