What is your quarentine playlist?

Keith

Oddly enough I haven’t been listening to a lot of music, which is odd for me. If I’m cooking or working out, though, I listen to Spoon or Bowie. They’re just pensive enough that it doesn’t feel saccharine and pensive enough that it doesn’t get too dark - which is especially useful in these times.

What have you been doing differently when you get up since working from home?

Not much has changed, honestly. I’m a writer between contracts and when I’m writing my own stuff I get up, workout if it’s my workout day, and get to work until I feel like I’ve gotten some work done. I workout from home now and am still figuring out what works for me. But overall, not much has changed - it still feels like I’m creating in a vacuum.

How do you think capitalism will be different post COVID-19?

I’m not so sure yet. I think it will depend on how severe things get. If anything we may transition further into online orders and deliveries. Overall I’m not sure if a lot of employers have wrapped their head around the danger of what’s going on, and as sad as it is I think the only way they can is if they lose tough lessons. A majority of people haven’t come to terms with what’s going on, and I get that it’s tough because it’s destroying our savings, our rent is in jeopardy - we all need to try and stay afloat. But we can’t do that if we try to force employees into potentially dangerous workplaces. I dream that companies will develop a heart, a compassionate soul, but not many of them are stepping up to the plate.

Joel Chef

What is your quarantine playlist? A playlist, called Swing Olga Swing! by Bosley on Spotify. What have you been doing differently when you get up since working from home? We are good! Katie is working from home and Eddie’s school is cancelled, but other than that, it’s business as usual. How do you think capitalism will be different post COVID-19? I think whenever people go back to work it will be a better mix of work/ life balance and a focus on working at something meaningful rather than out of a sense of obligation. For people who didn’t spend a lot of time alone with their family before, being forced to for a period of time will shift priorities.

Sonny

What is your quarantine playlist?

Dan’s playlist.

What have you been doing differently when you get up since working from home?

Thinking of things that make it seem like a work day. Mary Kondo-ing my life. Cleaning my cabinets. [Our dog] Marni is super happy all the time now.

How do you think capitalism will be different post COVID-19?

No [I don’t think it will be different], I think this is a show that it’s gotten worse -with a sliver of a chance, they will recognize it should be different post-Covid.

What have you been doing differently when you get up since working from home?

BROCKHAMPTON - Peach, Sugar Dominic Fike - Don’t Forget About Me Demos The Beegees The Carpenters Fleetwood Mac Jhené Aiko - Chilombo

Since working from home, I’ve definitely had to adjust to getting into a routine. I get up, meditate a bit, then coffee (super important), do my bed and then write out what I need to get done that day or for the rest of the week. Right now, I’m in the midst of finishing my final assignments so it’s been hard to keep motivated since working from home. So just trying my best to stick to a “to do” list or schedule. I try to do as much as I can and I usually work in the early morning, I find it to be the best time for me. I think it’s also important to not feel so bad about not getting things done when you don’t feel like it... it’s easy to be hard on yourself because you think of all the time spent at home and how much you can get done but it can be hard mentally and emotionally during times like these. So remembering that there’s always tomorrow is a huge thing.

How do you think capitalism will be different post COVID-19? It’s hard to think about this question because there’s so much in the news and online that sway my opinion on things. Unfortunately, I don’t think much will change but I think through this time it will highlight the holes in our system. So maybe more people will become aware about the issues that are really important.

What have you been doing differently when you get up since working from home?

How do you think capitalism will be different post COVID-19?

Quarantine playlist so far has been the album Total by Joy Division/New Order and the soundtrack for The Last Black Man in San Francisco.

Differently? I’ve been working until all hours of the night and then sleeping the actual morning away. Capitalism? You know my answer. The blowback stretches for miles into every avenue possible. What I hope it ultimately does is destroy fast services, especially in fashion.

Oneida

What is your quarantine playlist?

Caroline Polachek, Die Antwoord and Johnny Flynn.

What have you been doing differently when you get up since working from home?

Waking up earlier (most of the time) and skipping a full face of makeup. Oh and not rushing!

How do you think capitalism will be different post COVID-19?

Capitalism will still reign supreme though evidently consumerism will be slowed. So perhaps we’ll be less satisfied with purchasing possessions and more satisfied with experiences. At least that’s the lesson I’m hoping to have learned.

Hannah

What is your quarantine playlist?

I keep listening to Playlist 2 on Spotify so each day the songs change but its the same vibe and musicians just to keep things less stagnant.

What have you been doing differently when you get up since working from home?

I’m not in a rush because I know I’m going no where so in the morning I actually eat breakfast, I shower, I mosey to get dressed, I even make my bed because I’ve got nothing but time.

How do you think capitalism will be different post COVID-19?

Post this whole situation I think Capitalism may face some resistance from people who feel they got fucked over during the whole situation. You know people who got laid off and yet still have to pay rent while landlords get bailed out and businesses do as well. I think it will make people question the structures that be and how those structures don’t actually sere them and that will hopefully push for change and companies and the wealthy to get nervous because people are waking up to the shit.

Lisa Content Creator What is your quarantine playlist?

Spotify: Vibing Through A Crisis.

What have you been doing differently when you get up since working from home?

A slower wake-up, with more coffee and memes, and HIIT (which is the worst - but also one of the only doable things indoors and solo. Shout out to the Nike app.)

How do you think capitalism will be different post COVID-19?

Probably won’t be any different, but here’s hoping the heroes-du-jour, and I mean the ones barely getting minimum wage now, get continued recognition for how much they keep us all going even without a crisis.
