Before You Begin Read all instructions before beginning project. Do not pre-wash fabrics. Press fabrics with a dry iron on cotton setting before cutting. Use a ¼ in (6.35 mm) seam allowance and sew fabrics with right sides together (RST) unless otherwise noted. Press seams in the direction of the arrows. wof = width of fabric. Print appliqué template page at 100% scale. Note: A printed panel may become slightly skewed during the finishing process. Check if panel is square before cutting by folding the panel so selvages meet. If all edges do not meet, pull firmly from corner to corner until the edges meet. Continue until all corners are square.

2. Refer to Diagram B to make the Half-Rectangle Triangle (HRT) Units. Note: Two rectangles yield two matching HRT Units. Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of a Tractors rectangle 4 in x 6 1⁄4 in (10.16 cm x 15.88 cm) from the lower left corner to the upper right corner. Place the Tractors rectangle on top of a Tossed Animals rectangle 4 in x 6 1⁄4 in (10.16 cm x 15.88 cm) with RST and sew ¼ in (6.35mm) away from the line on both sides. Cut on the drawn line; press. Square up to 3 ½ in x 5 ½ in (8.89 cm x 13.97 cm) and trim if necessary. Repeat to make a total of four HRT Right Units. Repeat except draw the diagonal line the opposite way; from the upper left corner to the lower right corner. Make a total of 4 HRT Left Units 3 ½ in x 5 ½ in (8.89 cm x 13.97 cm). Dia. B
