HST BLOCKS

1. Sew a 5-1/4” Fabric B square to a 5-1/4” Fabric F square around all (4) sides. 2. Cut the squares into (4) triangles as shown and open them up to make (4) HST units. Repeat with the following pairs of 5-1/4” squares: (Note: since each pair of 5-1/4” squares yields (4) HST units, you’ll sometimes have extra HSTs.) (2x) Fabric B & Fabric F: (8) HST units.

(5x) Fabric D & Fabric E: (20) HST units - (2) extra.

(7x) Fabric E & Fabric F: (28) HST units.

(5x) Fabric E & Fabric C: (20) HST units - (2) extra.

(3x) Fabric C & Fabric F: (12) HST units.

(1x) Fabric E & Fabric A: (4) HST units.

(4x) Fabric B & Fabric E: (16) HST units.

(3x) Fabric A & Fabric F: (12) HST units.

3. Referring to the quilt illustration on Page 1, sew the HST units together in rows. The top & bottom rows will have a 3-1/4” Fabric A square on each end. 4. Sew the rows together top-to-bottom to complete the quilt top.

FINISHING THE QUILT 1. Join the (4) 2-1/2” Fabric G strips end-to-end for the binding. 2. Layer the Backing, batting & quilt front with the fabrics’ Right Sides facing out. Baste & quilt as desired, and bind with Fabric G.
