PIECING 1. Draw corner-to-corner diagonal lines on the wrong sides of [60] 4-1/2” Fabric A squares. With right sides together, place a 4-1/2” Fabric A square on the left corner of a 4-1/2” x 8-1/2” Fabric B rectangle as shown. Sew on the drawn line. Trim 1/4” from seam and press toward Fabric A. Repeat on right side of rectangle. Repeat to make a total of [10] Fabric A/B flying geese units; [10] Fabric A/C flying geese units and [10] Fabric A/D flying geese units.

2. Sew a 4-1/2” Fabric A square to the left side of a Fabric A/B flying geese unit. Press toward Fabric A. Repeat to make a total of [5]. Sew a 4-1/2” Fabric A square to the right side of a Fabric A/B flying geese unit. Press toward Fabric A. Repeat to make a total of [5].

3. Repeat Step 2 using the Fabric A/C and A/D flying geese units. 4. Sew trios of flying geese units together in stacks as shown. Make [5] in each direction.

5. Arrange pieced blocks and 12-1/2” Fabric E-N squares together as illustrated on Page 1 and sew together into horizontal rows. Press seams toward 12-1/2” squares. Sew rows together top-to-bottom to complete the quilt center. 6. Join [7] 2-1/2” Fabric D strips together end to end. Cut [2] 60-1/2” lengths and sew one to each side of quilt center. Press seams toward Fabric D strips. Cut [2] 52-1/2” lengths and sew one each to top and bottom of quilt center. Press seams toward Fabric D strips. 7. Join [8] 5-1/2” Fabric O strips together end to end. Cut [2] 64-1/2” lengths and sew one to each side of quilt. Press toward Fabric O strips. Cut [2] 62-1/2” lengths and sew one each to top and bottom of quilt. Press toward Fabric O strips.
PIECING 8. Join Fabric D Binding strips end-to-end and press into double-fold binding. 9. Layer Backing, batting and quilt front, with the fabrics’ Right Sides facing out. 10. Baste and quilt as desired, and bind with Fabric D binding.
