Robin Kingsley has been designing and stitching charming and whimsical redwork embroidery for nearly 60 years. From humble beginnings selling supplies from the back of her station wagon to opening her first business, The Sampler, she hasn’t put down her needle yet!
Once her kids were grown, she and her sisters returned home and opened the Three Sisters gift shop, where her brand Bird Brain Designs was born. Robin’s popular embroidery and appliqué designs led her to create clever fabric collections for Maywood Studio and to add ‘textile designer’ to her list of talents. Today Robin continues to design fabric and embroidery patterns from her home in Kelseyville, California while her son and daughter-in-law manage the Bird Brain Designs warehouse in Idaho.
