OTHER TOOLS &SUPPLIES -needle and coordinating thread -sewing machine -iron & pressing surface -rotary cutter and mat -fabric shears -straight pins NOTES -For best results, read through all instructions before starting. -Please wash, dry & iron your fabrics before beginning, and trim selvedges. -Unless otherwise indicated, sew all seams with a 1/4” seam allowance. -Press your seams open as you go. -WOF = width of fabric

CUTTING Fabric A Cut (2) 10” x WOF strips. Sub-cut: -(6) 10” x 10” squares Fabric B Cut (3) 5” x WOF strips. Sub-cut: -(12) 10” x 5” rectangles Fabric C Cut (1) 5” x WOF strip. Sub-cut: -(6) 5” x 5” squares Cut (6) 2-1/2” x WOF strips. Set aside for binding. Fabric D Cut (9) 2-1/2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut: -(9) 16-1/2” x 2-1/2” rectangles. These will be referred to as piece (a). -(6) 10” x 2-1/2” rectangles. These will be referred to as piece (b). -(2) 34-1/2” x 2-1/2” rectangles. These will be referred to as piece (c). -(6) 5” x 2-1/2” rectangles. These will be referred to as piece (d). Cut (1) 8-1/2” x WOF strip. Sub-cut: (1) 34-1/2” x 8-1/2” rectangle. This will be referred to as piece (e). Cut (2) 16-1/2” x WOF strips. Sew the two strips together, end-to-end, and trim to 60-1/2”. This will be referred to as piece (f).

PIECING (Note: Refer to the assembly layout on p.5 as well as the cover photo for fabric placement. PIECING THE BLOCKS 1. Sew (1) piece (b)to the bottom of a Fabric B rectangle. 2. Sew a Fabric A square to the bottom of the piece created in Step 1.

3. Sew (1) piece (d) to the bottom of a Fabric C square. 4. Sew a Fabric B rectangle to the bottom of the piece created in Step 3.

5. Sew (1) piece (a) to the right hand side of the piece created in Step 2. 6. Sew the piece created in step 4 to the right hand side of the piece created in Step 5.

Block measures 16-1/2” x 16-1/2” Make (6)

7. Repeat Steps 1-6 to make 5 more blocks.

ASSEMBLY 8. Sew (1) piece (a) to the right hand side of one block. 9. Take a second block and rotatate it clockwise 90 degrees. Sew it to the right hand side of the piece created in Step 8. This completes Row 1.

10. Repeat Steps 8-9 to make Row 2 and Row 3. IMPORTANT: Pay attention to the orientation of the blocks for each subsequent row, as each one is different. 11. Sew all three rows together, top to bottom, while inserting (1) piece (c) in between the rows.

12. Sew piece (e) to the top of the piece created in Step 11. 13. Sew piece (f) to the left hand side of the piece created in Step 12. This completes the quilt top. FINISHING 14. Layer the quilt top with batting and backing. Baste and quilt as desired. 15. Sew the Fabric C binding strips together end-to-end and press seams open. Bind the quilt using your favorite method.
