1. Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of F 4” squares.
2. Place (1) marked F 4” square right sides together with (1) A 4” square. Sew 1/4” on each side of diagonal line, then cut on drawn line. Press open and square to 3-1/2” to complete UNIT 1, make (16).
3. Repeat step 2 using B, C, D and E squares to create UNITS 2, 3, 4 and 5. Square to 3-1/2”, make (16) each.
4. Sew (1) F 2” x WOF strip together lengthwise with (1) G 2” x WOF strip to make (1) F-G strip set. Make (14). Crosscut into a total of (80) 3-1/2” x 6-1/2” UNIT 6
5. Lay out (1) A 6-1/2” square, (4) UNIT 1 and (4) UNIT 6 into (3) rows of (3). Sew into rows and join the rows to make BLOCK 1, measuring 12-1/2” square. Make (4). In the same way, make (4) each of BLOCK 2, BLOCK 3, BLOCK 4, and BlOCK 5

QUILT ASSEMBLY: Refer to QUILT DIAGRAM for proper placement and rotation.
6. Lay out the blocks into (5) rows of (4) each. Sew the blocks into rows and join the rows to complete the quilt center.
BORDER ASSEMBLY: Measure width and length of quilt top to ensure border cutting sizes. Below are our measurements. Refer to QUILT DIAGRAM for proper placement and rotation.
7. Sew (1) G 1-1/2” x (60-1/2”) strip to each side of quilt, then sew (1) G 1-1/2” x (50-1/2”) strip to top and bottom.
8. Sew (1) D 4-1/2” x (62-1/2”) strip to each side of quilt, then sew (1) D 4-1/2” x (58-1/2”) strip to top and bottom.
FINISHING:
Cut batting and backing 3” larger than top on all sides. Layer backing, batting and top together and baste or pin. When quilting is completed, trim excess batting and backing. Bind with G fabric.
