We’re excited to be working with Harper Collins once again to reintroduce our popular 2013 collection of Goodnight Moon with the addition of a few more prints for extra inspiration.

The work of Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) is recognized worldwide as pivotal to the development of modern architecture. Through a deep understanding of our relationship with the natural world, Wright’s ideas and designs were inspired by organic forms. His vision, “to make life more beautiful, the world a better one for living in, and to give rhyme, reason, and meaning to life” is carried on through the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation and represented on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

FLW TONE ON TONE In 1927, Frank Lloyd Wright designed a series of twelve seasonally themed monthly covers for Liberty magazine. The magazine deemed the covers too avant-garde and returned them to Wright. Each design of the Liberty magazine covers is an example of Wright’s practice of using the tools of his trade: a t-square, triangle, and compass to create lively, geometric designs. Cloud9’s adaptation of April Showers, Coonley Tulips and March Balloons adapts Wright’s well-known illustration into a dynamic and fluid pattern perfect for your quilting adventures.

MARGARET WISE BROWN

was an American writer of children’s books, including Goodnight Moon and The Runaway Bunny, both illustrated by Clement Hurd. She has been called “the laureate of the nursery” for her achievements.

When she was younger, Ann’s parents would pack her brothers and her up in the car to visit all kinds of local sites and parks. On longer drives she’d watch the scenery pass by, which often took them by farms and open fields. The designs in Naturally Wild are playful reminders of sites she’d see out the car window and outdoor picnic stops in the fresh air.

Since 2009 Cloud9 Fabrics uses only 100% certified organic cotton in the manufacturing of our base cloths and eco-responsible low impact dyes for (OEKO-TEX) for the printing and dying. We work closely with mills that are committed to ethical and responsible conduct. This includes respecting the rights of all individuals, a devotion to sustained social compliance and an accountability to the environment.

We make every effort to match print colors, but we hope you’ll understand that there are color shifts that often happen when translating prints onto fabric.

Likewise, our projects have been tested and reviewed, but sometimes things slip by. If you find an error, please let us know so we can correct it.

Some of our projects may be in development at the time of this publication, but will be available when the fabric is shipped. Therefore, our estimates for fabric requirements may change.

We do our best to bring you new fabric when we promise, but all of our expected delivery dates can change for a number of reasons.
