Cut (2) 84" x WOF pieces for the backing. Sew the pieces together and trim to 84" x 84" square.
Fabric O - Binding - 1/2 Yard
Cut (8) 2-1/4" x WOF Strips - Sew the (8) strips together end-to-end with diagonal seams creating one long binding strip.
QUILT ASSEMBLY
LARGE FLOWER BLOCK
1. Place (1) 2-1/4" Fabric B square in the left corner of (1) 3" x 2-1/4" Fabric E rectangle, right sides of fabric facing. Sew a digaonal line on the wrong side of the Fabric B piece from the upper right corner to the lower left corner. Trim away the excess fabric leaving a 1/4" seam allowance, open the seam and press flat (Fig. 1). Repeat making a total of (6).
2. Place (1) 2-1/4" Fabric B square in the right corner of (1) 3" x 2-1/4" Fabric H rectangle, right sides of fabric facing. Sew a digaonal line on the wrong side of the Fabric B piece from the upper left corner to the lower right corner. Trim away the excess fabric leaving a 1/4" seam allowance, open the seam and press flat (Fig. 2). Repeat making a total of (6).
3. Sew together (1) Fabric E rectangle to the left of (1) Fabric H rectangle, make (6) (Fig. 3).
4. Sew (2) of these pieces along the sides of (1) 5-1/2" Fabric B square (Fig. 4).

5. Place (1) 2-1/4" Fabric B square in the left corner of (1) 4-3/4" x 2-1/4" Fabric E rectangle, and (1) 2-1/4" Fabric H square in the right corner. Sew squares on with a digaonal seam as shown (Fig. 5). Trim away the excess fabric leaving a 1/4" seam allowance for both top corners, open the seams and press flat. Repeat making a total of (6).
6. Place (1) 2-1/4" Fabric E square in the left corner of (1) 4-3/4" x 2-1/4" Fabric H rectangle, and (1) 2-1/4" Fabric B square in the right corner. Sew squares on with a digaonal seam as shown (Fig. 6). Trim away the excess fabric leaving a 1/4" seam allowance for both top corners, open the seams and press flat. Repeat making a total of (6).
7. Sew (1) Fabric H rectangle to the left side of (1) Fabric E rectangle. Make (6) (Fig. 7).
8. Now sew (2) rows to the top and bottom of the Fabric B center square. Make (3) (Fig. 8).
9. Place (1) 2-1/4" Fabric A square in the top left corner of (1) 5-1/4" x 4-3/4" Fabric E rectangle, right sides of fabric facing. Sew a digaonal line on the wrong side of the Fabric A piece from the upper right corner to the lower left corner. Trim away the excess fabric leaving a 1/4" seam allowance, open the seam and press flat (Fig. 9). Repeat making a total of (12).
10. Place (1) 2-1/4" Fabric A square in the top right corner of (1) 5-1/4" x 4-3/4" Fabric H rectangle, right sides of fabric facing. Sew a digaonal line on the wrong side of the Fabric A piece from the upper left corner to the lower right corner. Trim away the excess fabric leaving a 1/4" seam allowance, open the seam and press flat (Fig. 10). Repeat making a total of (12).
11. Sew the (1) Fabric E rectangle to the left side of (1) Fabric H rectangle. Press open (Fig. 11). Make (12).
12. Sew (2) 5-1/4" Fabric A square to the right and left sides of the block from step 11 (Fig. 12). Make (6).
13. Sew (2) piece from Step 11 to the right and left of (1) Fabric B center square (Fig. 13). Make (3).
14. Now sew the rows together as shown (Fig. 14).
Repeat Steps 1-14 to make flower blocks using Fabrics F with I and G with J. Make (3) blocks each. There should be a total of (9) Large Flower Blocks. Set aside.
SMALL FLOWERS BLOCK ASSEMBLY:
15. Place (1) 1-1/2" Fabric A square in the left corner and (1) 1-1/2" Fabric A square in the right corner of (1) 3-1/2" x 1-1/2" Fabric K rectangle, right sides of fabric facing. Sew a digaonal line on the wrong sides of Fabric A squares as shown (Fig. 15), sew along line. Trim away the excess fabric leaving a 1/4" seam allowance, open the seam and press flat into a small row. Repeat making a total of (12).
16. Sew (2) 1-1/2" Fabric K squares to the right and left sides of (1) 1-1/2" Fabric B square to make a small row (Fig. 16). Make (6).
17. Sew (2) Fabric K rows to the top and bottom of (1) Fabric B row from step 16 (Fig. 17). Make (6).
Repeat Steps 15-17 to make flower blocks using Fabrics L and M . Make (5) blocks each. When all small flower blocks are complete there should be a total of (16).
TRELLIS VINE SASHING:
18. Sew (1) 18-1/2" x 1-1/2" Fabric A rectangle to to the top and (1) 18-1/2" x 1-1/2" Fabric A rectangle to the bottom of (1) 18-1/2" x 1-1/2" Fabric C rectangle (Fig. 18). Make (24).
QUILT TOP ASSEMBLY:
19. Layout the Large Flower Blocks in rows of (3):
Row 1: Pink, Yellow, Blue
Row 2: Blue, Pink, Yellow
Row 3: Yellow, Blue, Pink
20. Between the rows of Large Flower Blocks, insert the long Trellis Vine Sashing so there is one in between and around every block.
21. Insert the Small Flower Blocks between the Trellis Vine Sashing, at the corners of each Large Flower Block, alternating the colors in rows of (4):
Row 1: Blue, Pink, Yellow, Blue
Row 2: Yellow, Blue, Pink, Yellow
Row 3: Pink, Yellow, Blue, Yellow
Row 4: Blue, Pink, Yellow, Blue
22. Sew the blocks together row by row (Fig. 19).
23. Add (1) 66-1/2" x 3-1/2" Fabric D rectangle to the right and (1) 66-1/2" x 3-1/2" Fabric D rectangle to the left of the assembled blocks.
24. Sew on (1) 72-1/2" x 3-1/2" Fabric D rectangle to the top and (1) 72-1/2" x 3-1/2" Fabric D rectangle to the bottom to finish the quilt top.
FINISHING THE QUILT:
25. Layer the quilt top, batting and backing fabric. Baste and quilt the layers together as desired.
26. Trim off excess fabric from the quilt edges, squaring the quilt to a finished size of 72-1/2" x 72-1/2"
27. After the binding strips are sewn together in one continous strip, fold the piece in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.
28. Sew the binding around the entire edge of the quilt as desired.
