in a Hard Place This May, the new, vibrant Ukrainian feature film Pamfir will be premiered in the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs section of Cannes Film Festival. It is a crime story with an ethnic bent that takes place in Ukraine, near the Romanian border, and shows a man, who has been working abroad for a long time, returning home where he’s forced by the circumstances to pick up his old trade of smuggling to pay some debts and settle some scores.
