Leading language provider EF appoints new President, CMO and Country Manager (Germany) for its corporate business London, UK- September 20, 2011– EF Education First announced today the appointment of three key new executive staff members to underpin its rapid growth in the business and public sector language learning markets. Christoph Wilfert joins as President, Andy Bailey as Chief Marketing Officer and Lukas Lewandowski as Country Manager for Germany of EF’s Corporate Language Learning Solutions division. The appointments represent an investment in top-quality talent to help further develop EF’s role as a leading provider of language training for businesses and public sector organizations worldwide. Christoph Wilfert, President, joins EF from a CEO position at Combionic, an award winning start-up in interaction management software that he co-founded. Previously Christoph spent seven years with Microsoft Corporation where he served as Chief Operating Officer in Germany as well as leading the Corporate Accounts business in the United States. Christoph, originally from Germany, has a proven track record in driving global market expansion and strong international experience; skills which make him ideally suited to EF. Lukas Lewandowski, EF’s new Country Manager for Germany, comes to the company as an experienced consultant and global account executive for some of the world’s leading companies, including Accenture and Hewlett Packard. For the past six years Lukas has worked for German software company SAP, working his way from Key Account Manager for several accounts up to Senior Global Account Executive for one large German corporation, leading specialized presales resources and local account managers in different countries in various sales situations.
