My studies (Double Master's: Sustainable Horticulture - MAICh, Chania, Greece + Agronomy and Agricultural Engineering, Biotechnology - Agricultural University, Plovdiv - Bulgaria) and work experience have been concentrated on Agriculture and Rural Development - research; policy implementation, control and evaluation; consultancy and publishing (4 books; over 30 scientific papers, 70 articles in magazines and newspapers; brochures, leaflets etc). Areas of Main Interest - Agriculture, Rural Development, European Union Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), EU Funds, EAFRD; Sustainability, Sustainable Agriculture, Farming Systems, Agroecology; EU Projects Proposals Development, Evaluation and Control; Technical Assistance; Food Safety; Research; Soil Science; Plant Nutrition; Biotechnology. I have participated in the assessment and control of over 300 project proposals under the Rural Development Programme as well as numerous Direct Payment applications.
