Cultural Visionary Award for Chicago
Established in 2010, the Music Institute’s Cultural Visionary Award for Chicago recognizes individuals who have provided visionary philanthropic and civic leadership for the broad spectrum of arts in Chicago and Illinois.
Marin Alsop Dushkin Award
The prestigious Dushkin Award, established in 1985 and named for the Music Institute’s visionary founders Dorothy and David Dushkin, recognizes international luminaries in the world of music for their contributions to the art form and to the education of youth.
Barbara Ann Martin
Richard D. Colburn Award for Teaching Excellence
The Music Institute presents this annual award to faculty members who exemplify the highest standard of excellence in their teaching and mentoring of students.
Musical Performances
The program features musical performances by talented young students from the Music Institute of Chicago, including one selection conducted by Marin Alsop.
