eglinlife.com/cdc • • • Parents of children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age can receive comprehensive child care services at one of Eglin’s two Child Development Center (CDC) locations. Full day care and hourly drop-in care (on a space-available basis) are provided by a compassionate staff of certified professionals.

FAMILY CHILD CARE

eglinlife.com/fcc • • • The Eglin Family Child Care (FCC) office is a parent’s network for connecting with on-base and affiliated off-base child care providers operating from their homes — a high-quality alternative to center-based care. All FCC providers are licensed and certified by not only the State of Florida but also Eglin leadership, and must operate by Air Force standards.

SCHOOL AGE CARE

eglinlife.com/schoolage • • • Before and after school programs — as well as full-day camps and activities during spring, summer, and winter breaks — are all provided for children ages 5-12 at Eglin’s School Age Care (SAC) facility. With a goal to develop interests, enhance life skills, encourage positivity and promote self-worth, SAC provides a safe, nurturing, and age-appropriate environment for youngsters.

eglinlife.com/slo • • • The mission of Eglin’s School Liason office (SLO) is to eliminate barriers and build bridges for the academic success of military connected children, grades K-12. Through networks and partnerships with local and global communities, the SLO works to assist Active Duty parents with education matters that are unique to their children and the military lifestyle.

eglinlife.com/youth • • • The Eglin Youth Center goes above and beyond to provide its members a “Positive Place For Kids!” Youth up to age 18 partake in year-round activities that promote character and leadership development, life skills, education, arts, fitness and sports — all in a safe, supervised environment.

Parents' Night Out

Fridays, May 6 & June 17 | 6 - 10 pm

Calling all parents! — Catch a break once a month with the Eglin Child & Youth Services program for parents, Parents' Night Out! The Eglin Child Development Center (CDC III, Bldg 2781) offers childcare for $28 per child on a spaceavailable basis for ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Reservations must be made by close of business on the Thursday before the event. All children must be registered

Child Care Aware: Assistance for Military Families

When military families need child care that the Eglin CDCs and FCC are unable to provide, then they may reach out to Child Care Aware. This organization, in partnership with the Department of the Air Force, can provide assistance in finding child care outside the base gates and potentially receiving a subsidy for that care. and have a current shot record on file. The CDC will provide a snack; no outside food or drink will be allowed with the exception of bottles for infants. Please advise staff of any allergies and/or special needs during registration. Financial assistance is available to eligible Air Force families through "Give Parents A Break," a program supported by the Eglin A&FRC and the Air Force Aid Society. Army families who are assigned to Eglin may seek similar assistance through the Army Strong program.

Eglin's Child Development Center (CDC II & III) offers hourly care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years on a space-available basis only. Reservations may be made up to 30 days in advance. Cost is $4 per hour and payment must be made each day by 5 p.m. Because of the importance of rest for young children, drop-offs cannot be accepted between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Parents must provide a change of clothes, labeled bottles of formula or milk, diapers, wipes, and closedtoed shoes. 850-883-7425 • 850-882-5519

The Eglin Youth Center hosts Dance Classes for ages 3 to 13. Hour-long ballet, tap and jazz classes are available with beginner and intermediate options on a weekly basis. MONDAYS
