Military Spouse Appreciation Event

Spouses of Active Duty personnel, retirees and widows are welcome to attend this information fair and luncheon at the Bayview Event Center. Activities include skincare demonstrations and mini massages, and a light lunch will be served. Grief & Loss Support Group

Eglin's Airman & Family Readiness Center's Grief & Loss Support Group is a valuable resource for those who have experienced loss such as death, divorce, relationship issues, illness or other major life changes. These experiences can feel overwhelming, but a support group can be a helpful tool in processing them, by providing a medium for peers to share information and resources, connect through shared emotions and utilize an outlet for disclosure without judgment. This is a monthly virtual meeting via ZoomGov for deployed families to engage directly with our Readiness NCO's to discuss issues, share resources, and build connectedness with other deployed family members. College Fair

The Eglin Education Center is hosting a College Fair! Multiple regionally and nationally accredited colleges will be present to advise Airmen on the degrees and programs offered at each institution.

The college fair will take place on Wednesday, June 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Eglin Main Fitness Center Gym. All U.S. Active Duty members are invited to attend and to speak with advisors from the participating colleges and universities.

Bundles for Babies

Eglin's Airman & Family Readiness Center invites expectant parents from all branches of service to a fun-filled Bundles for Babies workshop on select Wednesdays from 9 to 11:30 a.m. New and expecting parents will receive valuable information from the New Parent Support Program, child care programs, Tricare and other relevant organizations. This workshop satisfies the mandatory "Birth of First Child" financial touchpoint requirement and is available in person or virtually. Please call the A&FRC to register. 850-882-9060

Key Spouse Program

Key Spouses are an integral part of Eglin's readiness team and an essential resource for military families. Appointed by group or squadron commanders and working closely with first sergeants, Key Spouses are a focal point for information and support for families in their respective assigned unit, serving as a communication bridge between the unit leaders and the families. The Eglin Airman & Family Readiness Center provides all mandatory initial and refresher training for appointed Key Spouses. Aero Club Credentialing Assistance

Assistance is available for Air Force and Army personnel who are pursuing various flight courses and licenses through the Eglin Aero Club. AF COOL and ArmyIgnitED are providing assistance to those who qualify for the A&P course, Private Pilot Licenses, Instrument Rating and Commercial Pilot Licenses. Spouse Relicensure Reimbursement

The Air Force Spouse Relicensure Reimbursement Program provides financial relief up to $1000 to Airmen whose spouse must transfer state occupational licenses or certifications. Offer is effective for fees incurred during PCS/PCAs authenticated on or after December 12, 2017. Contact Eglin's A&FRC for more details. 850-882-9060
