Movie Nights at Postl Point Sept. 11-12 | 7 p.m. Enjoy outdoor movies at Postl Point on Friday and Saturday night. Parking will accommodate up to 40 vehicles per show. Registration is open this week, Thursday through Saturday, by contacting Outdoor Rec at (850) 882-5058 during regular hours of operation. Outdoor Rec is open Monday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., open Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. One-Day Get Golf Ready! Sept. 12 | 9 a.m. -2:30 p.m. Develop your golf skills in less than a day! The Eglin Golf Course presents "Get Golf Ready!"—a Saturday golf lesson for beginners or those who need a refresher. "Get Golf Ready!" is a nationwide initiative by the USGA, PGA, PGA Tour and LPGA to engage golfers, and the lessons are taught by Eglin's LPGA Professional. Each lesson can accommodate three to six participants, and the cost is $70 per person with lunch included. For more information or to register, contact the Eglin Golf Course at 850-882-2949.

Kayak Clinic Sept. 12 | 1 p.m.
Get out on the water with Eglin Outdoor Recreation for an introductory Kayak Clinic at Postl Point! Learn how to use a sit on top kayak with the fundamentals of boat control, proper paddling apparel, potential hazards, and simple rescues. Students will be able to practice maneuvering on flat-water using entry-level paddling skills. Cost is $20 per person and includes instruction and kayak rental. Participation is open to all base personnel and their guests, ages 8 and up. Class size is limited, so contact Outdoor Rec to sign up early. Classes may be rescheduled due to inclement weather. RecOn Airboat Tour Sept. 18 | 7:30 p.m.
Skim and slide across the water and through the marshes with Wild Thang Airboat Tours! This scenic 1-hour ride, hosted by Eglin Outdoor Rec, gives you the chance to view some of Florida's beautiful bird species such as herons, egrets, and ospreys in their natural habitat. The tour also takes you through creeks and bays where you can catch an alligator sunning on the bank or dolphins playing in the water. You'll never know what you'll find on this airboat adventure! Hearts Apart Online Forum Sept. 18 | 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Are you the family member of a deployed loved one? Eglin's Airman & Family Readiness Center would like to cordially invite you to the Hearts Apart Program Online Forum! This is a monthly virtual meeting via Zoom for deployed families to engage directly with our Readiness NCO's to discuss issues and share resources on how we can ease the hardship of being separated from your loved one. We also aim to bring our deployed family community together in an effort to strengthen our resiliency and bonds.
