Free-Throw Contest Friday, September 24 | 3 pm
The Eglin Fitness Center invites all authorized users to compete in a Free-Throw Contest on the basketball court of the Main Fitness Center. Each participant will have the opportunity to shoot 20 baskets from the free-throw line. The top five will advance to the second round, and the top two will have a final shoot off to 20 points. Participants must register on the Eglin Fitness Center's Facebook page by Thursday, Sept. 23. Contact the Main Fitness Center for more information. 850-882-6223
Fight Frenzy UFC Fight Nights at Legends
Saturday, September 25 | Doors Open at 6 pm Catch all the action in the octagon with UFC Fight Nights at Legends Sports Grill! Fight Frenzy, a program from the Air Force Services Center (AFSVC), features coverage of UFC events every month. Legends will feature a special Late-Night Menu including flatbread pizzas, chicken tenders, boneless wings and more as well as full bar service! Doors open at 6 p.m. each night with preliminary fights starting at 7 p.m. on ESPN and pay-per-view fights starting at 9 p.m. All with base access are welcome to attend. First Friday at Postl Point Friday, October 1 | 3:30 - 6 pm
All Eglin personnel and families are invited to enjoy food and fun at First Friday at Postl Point! Eglin Club members will enjoy a FREE cookout with a view. Admission is $5 for all others ages 3 and up. Cookout menu includes pulled pork, sides and soft drinks, with adult beverages available for purchase. We’ll see you at Postl Point! 850-883-4255

Enjoy outdoor movies at Postl Point on Friday nights! Parking will accommodate up to 50 vehicles per show. Admission is FREE and open to all Eglin personnel and family members. Eglin Yacht Club Dive Flight Monthly Meeting Friday, October 1 | 4:30 pm
Join the Eglin Yacht Club’s Dive Flight for the return of its monthly meetings! Come out and meet other divers, plan future dive trips and learn about future dive classes. All with base access are welcome to attend. The first meeting will be held on Friday, Oct. 1 at 4:30 p.m. at the Yacht Club & Dive Flight (Bldg 2816). Parking Lot Sale Saturday, October 2 | 8:30 am - 1 pm
Everyone with base access is invited to shop or sell at Eglin's basewide Parking Lot Sale, held on Georgia Avenue. Look for the event at the two large parking lots across the street from the Eglin Conference Center and Exchange Mini Mall. Sellers may park in either lot and use adjacent parking spaces to display their wares. Space for sellers is FREE! Advance reservations are not required. If you're a shopper, you won't want to miss this event! There's always an enormous selection and assortment of treasures to be found at this popular event—furniture, electronics, children's items, toys, movies, books, clothing, collectibles, sporting goods, home accessories and much more! Sellers must be in place and ready to sell at 8:30 a.m. when the event is officially opened to shoppers. This is a perfect opportunity to raise some extra cash for your family, group or organization—or to get some thrifty gift shopping done! Restrooms will be available at the Mini Mall. Dog Obedience Classes October 5 - November 2 | Tuesdays 5 - 6 pm October 13 - November 10 | Wednesday 4 - 5 pm
Can't get Rover to roll over? Basic Dog Obedience is just what your pup needs! Classes are specialized for pups over four months of age, or adult dogs who have had no previous training. Your canine companion will learn basic obedience commands and good doggy manners, and individual behavioral problems such as excessive barking and jumping will be addressed. Course sessions last five weeks, with classes held for a maximum of 10 dogs. The first class meeting will be for owners only (no dogs should attend, please!). Cost for each five-week course is $80 and includes everything needed to participate. Dogs must be current on all vaccinations, including kennel cough; owners are asked to bring their dog's shot record to the first class.
