RecOn: Axe Throwing Trip Oct. 24 | 9:15 a.m. Nov. 8 | 9:50 a.m. Join Outdoor Recreation on an axe throwing trip. Cost is $15 per person for 1.5 hours of throwing. Trip limited to 12 people with parent/guardian signature needed for under age 18. Closed-toed shoes are recommended. Dog Obedience Classes Tuesdays, Oct. 27 - Nov. 24 | 4 - 5 p.m. Can't get Rover to roll over? Basic Dog Obedience is just what your pup needs! Classes are specialized for pups over four
months of age, or adult dogs who have had no previous training. Your canine companion will learn basic obedience commands and good doggy manners, and individual behavioral problems such as excessive barking and jumping will be addressed. Course sessions last five weeks, with classes held for a maximum of 10 dogs. The first class meeting will be for owners only (no dogs should attend, please!). Cost for each five-week course is $75 and includes everything needed to participate. Dogs must be current on all vaccinations, including kennel cough; owners are asked to bring their dog's shot record to the first class. Heart Link Oct. 29 | 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. The Airman & Family Readiness Center would like to introduce all of Eglin's military spouses to Heart Link—a top-notch
program designed to provide spouses with a better understanding of the military way of life, with concentration on the Eglin mission, military customs, traditions, protocol, and knowledge of available resources and services.
