Catch all the action of UFC 230 at Eglin's Legends Sport Grill. Admission is FREE for Eglin Bayview members, and $5 for all others. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. A special Fight Frenzy food menu will be available, featuring a "pay-as-you-go" bar with FREE popcorn and one FREE beverage (non-alcoholic) included. Gobble Wobble 5K/10K November 9 • 7 am | Postl Point (NEW TIME)
Come out and join the Eglin Fitness Center's Gobble Wobble, featuring a 5K fun run and a 10K competitive race. Start/Finish line is at Postl Point, near the Eglin Outdoor Recreation Center. Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers of the 10K. Participation is FREE for all base personnel. 2018 CCAF Graduates
The graduation ceremony for the Community College of the Air Force, class of 2018, is scheduled for 9 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 15 at the Enlisted Heritage Hall. Invitations have been sent out to all graduates who have completed their CCAF degrees in the April or October classes. If you have completed your CCAF degree and are considered a 2018 graduate, but did not receive an invitation, please contact Ms. Holly Idems at 882-8142 and Ms. Catherine Bonilla at 883-1260. All graduates are being notified through e-mail with their invitation to walk and have their degrees conferred with honor and reverence. Dress code is uniform of the day for Military, Business Casual for Civilians, and Service Dress for Graduates and all others participating in the ceremony. How about venturing into the great outdoors to enjoy the pristine beauty of nature in the Fall, plus hot chocolate?! Eglin Outdoor Recreation invites you out for a Hot Chocolate Hiking Trip along a portion of the Florida National Scenic Trail. Participants meet at Eglin's Outdoor Recreation Center at Postl Point for an 8:30 a.m. departure. Cost is $10 per person and includes round trip transportation to the trail (about 45 minutes away), a hiking permit, and did we mention hot chocolate? Participation is open to all base personnel and their guests, ages 8 and up. Sign up at Outdoor Rec and please make staff aware of any allergies or other pertinent medical conditions when signing up. Eglin Outdoor Recreation invites you to team up and battle it out with an exciting game of Laser Tag! Experience complete gameplay at Postl Point, using the all-in-one Barracuda laser tag unit. Players interested in participating in Eglin's Intramural Basketball season should sign up at the Eglin Fitness Center. Contact the Fitness Center staff at 850-882-6028, or your unit's sports rep to get involved. All Active Duty, Guard, Reserve, DoD civilians, contractors and dependants over the age of 18 are welcome to participate in intramural sport seasons. Participants must be assigned to or affiliated with units on Eglin AFB. A coaches meeting will be held at the main Fitness Center. All dates are tentative and subject to change.
