Push ‘n’ Pull Competition Nov. 2 - Dec. 11 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. Show off your strength at the Eglin Fitness Center’s Push ‘n’ Pull Bench and Deadlift Competition! Car Basics: What You Need To Know Nov. 18 | 6 - 8 p.m.
Do you struggle when it comes to basic car maintenance? You're not alone — and Eglin's Auto Hobby Shop is here to help! Join them for a FREE class of Car Basics: What You Need To Know. A short in-class session will be followed by hands-on learning with your own car. Learn about general vehicle safety inspection, how to identify different auto parts and systems, how to check and fill fluids, check and adjust tire pressure, change a tire, jump start vehicles, and talk to professional mechanics about issues and repairs. Class size is limited to 10 people, and an adult must accompany any students under age 18. Please wear closed-toe shoes. (850) 882-2484
Turkey Trot Golf Tournament Nov. 21 | 9 a.m. Shotgun Start
Join the Eglin Golf Course for its first-ever Turkey Trot! All golfers must have a current USGA Handicap to play. Play is four-person best-ball format on the Eagle course with 100% handicap for each player. Entry fees are as follows: $30 for Gold AGF Members, $40 for Silver AGF Members, and $50 for Non-Members & Guests. Entry fees include cart fees, green fees, range balls, prizes and lunch following play. Contact or visit the Pro Shop to register. (850) 882-2949
RecOn: Indoor Bouldering Trip Nov. 21 | 10 a.m.
Join Eglin Outdoor Recreation for a visit to Rock Out Climbing Gym in Destin. Rock Out is a premier indoor rock climbing facility that provides adventurers a place to seek new challenges, socialize with other active people, and enjoy an amazing workout — all while having fun. This two-hour scheduled event costs $10 per person. Participants must provide their own transportation to Rock Out Climbing Gym at 2001 98 Palms Blvd Ste 5, Destin, FL. Minimum age limit is 13 years old, and all participants are encouraged to wear athletic clothing. Contact Outdoor Rec to sign up.
