Eglin's Bayview Event Center welcomes "The GIs of Comedy" as they present a FREE night of side-splitting standup in the Sand Dollar Lounge. Performing comedians are U.S. military veterans — still serving their country one joke at a time — who've been featured on ABC, Netflix, Comedy Central, HBO and more. Admission is FREE! • Star Wars Movie Nights

Calling all Star Wars fans! Eglin Outdoor Recreation is premiering its new "Insane Impact" mega-screen at Postl Point, with Friday-night showings of all eight episodes of the Star Wars movie saga. It's the perfect way to prepare for the cinematic release of Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker! Showtime is 6 p.m. on these dates: Nov. 15 - Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back Dec. 6 - Episode VII: The Force Awakens Nov. 22 - Episode VI: Return of the Jedi Dec. 13 - Episode VIII: The Last Jedi Admission is FREE and open to all base personnel, families, and guests. Moviegoers are welcome to bring snacks, coolers, blankets, and lawn chairs. Outdoor Rec's store will be open 5:45-7 p.m. for those who would like to purchase popcorn, drinks, and snacks on site. A $25 FSS gift card will be given away at each showing, and additional giveaways are planned for the series' conclusion, including a box set of all eight episodes! (Must be present to win.) Saturday, November 16 | Shotgun Start 9 am | Falcon Course Sunday, November 17 | Tee Times Start 9 am | Eagle Course All military and DoD Civilian ID cardholders are invited to play in Eglin's Club Championship. To be the Club Champion, golfers must compete in the Black Tee Division - open to all ages and HDCPs. Other divisions include the Gold Tee - Men's Open Division (54 and under), Gold Tee - Men's Senior Division (55-64), Silver Tee - Men's Super Senior Division (65+), Green Tee - Ladies Division (59 and under), and Green Tee Ladies Senior Division (60+). Flights will be based on number of participants per flight. Entry fees includes tournament play, cart, green fees, range balls, and lunch on Saturdays. This new parent support program is where new and soon-to-be dads can learn how to be an integral part of the pregnancy, childbirth, coping with crying, how to bathe a baby, and other baby care processes. • Turkey Trot 5K Fun Run
Friday, November 22 | 7 am | Unity Park Come out and join the Eglin Fitness Center for the annual Turkey Trot! This year features a 5K fun run for all base personnel. Start/Finish line is at Unity Park. Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers. Participation is FREE. Be one of the first 30 participants to register in person at the Eglin Fitness Center by Sunday, November 17, and receive a FREE t-shirt on race day! • Turkey Shoot Archery Competition Saturday, November 23 | 10 am
Eglin Outdoor Recreation is holding a Turkey Shoot Archery Competition. A frozen turkey will be awarded to first place winners in three divisions — Men's, Women's, and Children (under age 12). Entry fee is $15 per person. Competitors are encouraged to bring and use their own bows and arrows, but Outdoor Rec's archery equipment will be available for use if needed, at no extra cost. Broadhead arrow tips are not permitted. Participants are required to wear closed toe shoes and are encouraged to dress comfortably for the weather. Contact Outdoor Recreation to register.
