Stop in for a spell to enjoy holiday games, crafts, music, food, and plenty of wizarding fun! Costumes are highly encouraged for the occasion. All ages are welcome and admission is FREE; no registration required. The Eglin Library is located inside Bldg. 825, in front of the main Eglin Fitness Center. Vounteers Needed! Club Membership Drive and College Football Playoff Championship Giveaway Win a 75” Samsung TV! Are you an Eglin Club Member? Join online at MyAirForceLife.com/clubs during the month of December and you will automatically be entered to win a 75” Samsung TV. A halftime drawing will be held at Legends during the College Football Playoff National Championship on Monday, Jan. 13. You do not have to be present to win, however, all Eglin club members attending the Legends’ event will be entered to win and new members in December will be entered a second time if they come to the event. Ugly Sweater Shuffle Saturday, December 14 Shotgun Start: 9 am Falcon Course
The Eglin Golf Course invites you to put on your holiday worst and get in on the competition at the Ugly Christmas Sweater Shuffle! Play is 2-person teams, 6-6-6 tournament format with flights based on average team hcp (25% team total adjusted hcp). Prizes will be awarded to top finishers — and to the ugliest sweater! Get ready to duck, dip, dive and dodge! Sign up now for a fun and exciting Dodgeball Tournament, throwing down on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 5 p.m. at Eglin's Main Fitness Center. The best 7-person team will win a trophy and team shirts. The competition is FREE and open to anyone with authorized access of the Fitness Center. NADA rules apply. • Operation CCAF Completion Third Thursday of Every Month | 8-10 am
The Eglin Education Center wants to help you complete your CCAF degree! Join them for a briefing every third Thursday of the month at the Education Center (Bldg 251, Room 111). They'll review degree requirements and can help address any specific questions. Active Duty enlisted members are automatically enrolled in the CCAF, and Air Force education and training counts towards a degree! Thursday, December 19 | 5-7 pm | Bayview Event Center All Team Eglin personnel and families are invited to the Bayview Event Center for WinterFest! — an evening of FREE indoor festivities including prize drawings, holiday music and food, children's activities, and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Over $6,000 in prizes will be given away in the Ballroom, with random drawings starting at 5:30 p.m. and continuing throughout the evening. (You do not have to be present to win.) Winners of Eglin's 35th Annual Holiday Greeting Card Competition will be announced and cash awards presented at 5:15 p.m. in the Ballroom. FREE hors d'oeuvres and holiday treats will be served in the Sand Dollar Lounge, where the bar will also be open for purchases. Admission is FREE and open to everyone with base access. The Eglin Fitness Center invites all base personnel to the 2nd annual Jingle Bell 5K Fun Run. Show time is 6:30 a.m. at the CE Pavilion on Cypress Road, with the run starting at 7 a.m. Participants are welcome to wear ugly sweaters or their choice of holiday attire. Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers. Participation is FREE for all base personnel. Be one of the first 30 participants to register in person at the Eglin Fitness Center and receive a FREE t-shirt on race day! Wednesday, December 25 | Lunch: 11 am-1 pm & Dinner: 5-6 pm The Breeze Dining Facility is hosting its annual Holiday Meal on Christmas Day, and all Team Eglin personnel and families are invited to enjoy the feast! Reservations are not required. A full banquet of holiday favorites will be available a la carte and individually priced. (An estimated meal cost is $10-$15.) Entrée selections are Roast Beef, Carved Pit Ham, and Cranberry Dijon Chicken. Side items include Mango Cranberry Chutney, Twice Baked Potatoes, Parsley Buttered Potatoes, Broccoli with Carrots and Red Peppers, Smokey Greens, assorted Pies and Cakes, and more.
