WinterFest! - FREE Holiday Fun Thursday, December 19 | 5-7 pm | Bayview Event Center All Team Eglin personnel and families are invited to the Bayview Event Center for WinterFest! — an evening of FREE indoor festivities including music, activity tables for children, and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. FREE hors d'oeuvres and holiday treats will be served. The Sand Dollar bar will be open for purchases. Over $6,000 in prizes will be given away in the Ballroom starting at 5:40 p.m. and continuing throughout the night. You do not have to be present to win. Eglin’s Organizational Greeting Card Contest awards presentation is scheduled for 5:15 p.m. in the Ballroom. We hope to see you there!

1-Mile Resolution Run & Polar Plunge Friday, January 17 | 7 am at Postl Point
It's a new year — hit the ground running! Come out and join the Eglin Fitness Center for the annual Resolution Run. This year's event features a 1-mile fun run from the start/finish line at Postl Point, where the annual Polar Bear Plunge will take place immediately following the run. After taking a morning dip- if you so dare- into the winter waters of Weekly Bayou, warm up and toast your bravery with some complimentary hot refreshments and pastries. Participation is FREE for all base personnel, and all ages are welcome. Runners are asked to be in place by 6:45 a.m. for a 7 a.m. start time. The Eglin Fitness Center invites all base personnel to the 2nd annual Jingle Bell 5K Fun Run. Show time is 6:30 a.m. at the CE Pavilion on Cypress Road, with the run starting at 7 a.m. Participants are welcome to wear ugly sweaters or their choice of holiday attire. Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers. Participation is FREE for all base personnel.
