Egmont’s activities include Scandinavia’s largest film company, Norway’s largest magazine publisher, book publishers and commercial TV broadcasters as well as the largest children’s publishers in Scandinavia and a host of other countries. As a commercial foundation, the Egmont Foundation donates a portion of its profits to charitable activities aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people.

Nordisk Film is the leading developer, producer and marketer of creative content in the Nordic region and the largest player in the Danish and Norwegian cinema markets. Egmont Kids Media produces and publishes entertainment and reading activities in the digital and print media for children and young people in more than 30 countries. The products, universes and concepts are based on such popular brands as Donald Duck, Petzi, Tom & Jerry, My Little Pony, Barbie and many others.

Egmont Books includes the Danish publishing house Lindhardt og Ringhof, which comprises Carlsen, Alinea, Akademisk Forlag and other publishing companies. Titles published by the division’s Danish companies in 2012 included the sixth volume of Karl Ove Knausgård’s My Struggle, Claus Meyer’s Bagebog and the Leif Davidsen thriller Patriarkens hændelige død. Charitable work Since 1920, Egmont has donated EUR 349 million in terms of 2012 DKK to support social and cultural activities. In 2012, Egmont donated EUR 8 million to charitable activities. The Egmont Foundation is a commercial foundation that re-invests its profit in the media business and charitable activities. The Foundation’s charitable vision is

to help children and young people lead a good life by supporting their active and committed participation in society.
