Air Arabia delivers track record 2019 net profit of over AED 1 Billion Air Arabia announced its financial results for the full year ending 31 December 2019, reflecting a record year of profitability and continued growth. Air Arabia reported a track record net profit of AED 1 billion for the full year ending December 31, 2019, an increase of 80 per cent compared to the net profit registered in 2018 (Excluding the impairment accounting treatment that Air Arabia took in 2018(. The airline’s turnover for the full year 2019 reached AED 4.75 billion, an increase of 15 per cent compared to the turnover registered in the full year 2018. The strong full year financial results were backed by solid growth in passenger demand with Air Arabia serving more than 12 million passengers from its four hubs in the UAE( Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah), Morocco and Egypt, an increase of 10 per cent compared to the 11 million passengers carried last year. The average seat load factor – or passengers carried as a percentage of available seats – for the full year increased 2% at an impressive 83 per cent. Air Arabia’s Board of Directors proposed a dividend distribution of 9 per cent of share capital, which is equivalent to 9 fils per share. This proposal was made following a meeting of the board of directors of Air Arabia and is subject to ratification by Air Arabia’s shareholders at the company’s upcoming Annual General Meeting. In the fourth quarter ending December 31, 2019, Air Arabia reported a net profit of AED 199 million while the turnover for the last quarter 2019 reached AED 1.14 billion. Air Arabia flew over 2.9 million passengers from its four hubs in the UAE, Morocco and Egypt in the last quarter 2019, an increase of 8 per cent compared to 2.7 million passengers carried in the same quarter last year. The average seat load factor for the same quarter increased 2% and stood at an impressive 81 per cent.

Now, the airline is looking to take the customer journey at Newark Liberty International to the next level as the construction of a new, unique United Club has begun at the hub. There are big changes happening for United at Newark.
Currently, passengers can visit the United Clubs at Newark’s Terminal A and Terminal C. These offer a full-service bar, light snacks, and Wi-Fi. Meanwhile, a recently-built Polaris lounge at Terminal C offers an extensive buffet, full-service bar, pre-flight dining, quiet suites, Wi-Fi, and showers. The Points Guy reports that this new lounge will finally replace what was the airport’s largest United Club, which closed down in November 2017. This ―one-of-a-kind‖ Club will be situated near Terminal C’s gate C124. Here, travelers will be able to enjoy the views that New York City has to offer. They will be able to see the city’s famous skyline, along with aircraft on the airport’s runway. United is determined has recently been determined to expand on its services.
A spokesperson for the airline shared that the company is investing millions in the new lounge. Just seconds after touching down on the runway, the aeroplane was forced to abort its landing, instead taking off again. The aircraft went on to land safely after circling the airport, according to BBC news. Storm Ciara has caused many flights to be cancelled, with disruption across the transport network as the country battled 80mph winds and heavy rainfall. British Airways said there would be a ―minor knock-on effect‖ to its flights on Monday. ―We’re getting in touch with those affected, and have brought in extra customer teams to help them with a range of options including a full refund or an alternative flight between now and Thursday,‖

American, which does not normally fly nonstop between the cities, will offer two flights on both July 11 and 12, and again on both July 17 and 18 all with 76-seat Embraer 175 jets. The flights will operate on the weekends before and after the Democratic convention, which is scheduled for July 13-16, when American has unused slots available at its Washington National hub. Southwest Airlines is the only carrier regularly flying between the Washington area — both Baltimore/Washington (BWI) and Washington National airports — and Milwaukee, Cirium schedule show.
