قام الفرٌق ٌونس المصري وزٌر الطٌران المدنً صباح الٌوم بجولة تفقدٌة فً مطار األقصرالدولً احد أهم المطارات السٌاحٌة فً مصر الذي تسٌر منه العدٌد من شركات الطٌران المصرٌة والعربٌة واألجنبٌة رحالت منتظمة وشارتر لنقل السائحٌن من مختلف أنحاء العالم ،تؤتى الزٌارة فً إطار جوالت وزٌر الطٌران المٌدانٌة لمتابعة سٌر العمل فً المطارات المصرٌة ورافق سٌادته خالل الزٌارة المهندس محمد سعٌد محروس رئٌس الشركة القابضة للمطارات والمالحة الجوٌة . بدأت الزٌارة بتفقد الوزٌر لصاالت السفر والوصول الدولً والداخلً وكاونترات الجوازات والمحطة والتارمك ومركز العملٌات واستمع الوزٌر الً شرح تفصٌلً من اللواء طٌار هشام عٌسى مدٌر المطار عن إمكانٌات المطار واألنظمة األمنٌة والسعة اإلستٌعابٌة إضافة الى مشروعات التطوٌرالحالٌة والمستقبلٌة للمطار . كما وجه الوزٌر بتحسٌن كافة الخدمات المقدمة للسائحٌن ،وأكد سٌادته ان وزارة الطٌران المدنً تقوم بتقدٌم كل الدعم والتحفٌز لقطاع السٌاحة بمدٌنة األقصر عن طرٌق تقدٌم مبادرات وحوافز وخدمات تشجع شركات الطٌران العالمٌة لزٌادة رحالتها الجوٌة من وإلً مطار االقصر الدولى . وفً ختام الزٌارة استمع الوزٌر إلً إستعداد مطار األقصر إلستقبال وتسٌٌر رحالت موسم الحج إلً األراضً المقدسة فً شهر أغسطس القادم لنقل حجاج األقصر وقنا ومحافظات الوجه القبلً وطالب بتقدٌم كافة التٌسٌرات لضٌوف الرحمن .

صرح الطٌار أحمد عادل رئٌس الشركة القابضة لمصر للطٌران ،أن الشركة ستبدأ فى تسٌٌر رحالتها الجدٌدة إلى مدٌنة هونج كونج الصٌنٌة 17سبتمبر المقبل ،الفتا إلى أن الشركة الوطنٌة تسعى دائما لفتح أسواق جدٌدة ،فى أهم المدن العالمٌة ،خاصة وأن وجهات الشرق األقصى تعد أسواقا واعدة فً مجال حركة الطٌران والنقل الجويٌ ،ؤتً ذلك فً إطار حرص مصرللطٌران على ً وتلبٌة الوصول إلى نقاط جدٌدة فً شبكة خطوطها الجوٌة داخل قارة اسٌا لرغبات عمالئها. من جانبه ،أوضح الطٌار شرٌف عزت رئٌس شركة مصر للطٌران للخطوط الجوٌة ،أن الشركة ستسٌر رحلتٌن أسبوعٌا إلى هونج كونج عبر بانكوك ٌومى اإلثنٌن والجمعة فى تمام الساعة ،23:10وذلك على متن أحدث طائراتها االٌرباص . 330/300 هذا وتقدم مصر للطٌران لعمالئها تخفٌض :25على تذاكر أول رحلة سفر من القاهرة وجمٌع نقاط شبكة مصر للطٌران إلى هونج كونج ،على جمٌع درجات الحجز وٌمكن شراء التذاكر من اآلن وحتى تارٌخ الرحلة.

أعتقد أن وزٌر الطٌران المدنى الفرٌق ٌونس المصرى كان من الشجاعة واإلقدام وتطبٌق ثقافة المواجهة ودحض األكاذٌب واالفتراءات التى كادت أن تنال من سمعة الطٌران المدنى المفترى علٌه وسمعة مصر عندما صمم أن ٌخرج لكل الفضائٌات بنفسه معلنا أن مطار القاهرة آمن وجمٌع العاملٌن بخٌر وحركة المالحة الجوٌة به تسٌر على أكمل وجه ..وذلك بعد أزمة االنفجار الذى وقع بإحدى شركات البتروكٌماوٌات القرٌبة من مطار القاهرة وأحدثت دوٌا ً هائالً ودخانا ً كثٌ ًفا وألسنة لهب غطت سماء المنطقة باللون البرتقالى وأصابت الجمٌع بحالة من الفزع والهلع وخاصة بعد سلسلة الشائعات التى انفجرت فى وجه الجمٌع واستهدفت أول ما استهدفت مطار القاهرة من عٌنة: «طٌارة انفجرت علً الـ»runway«....طٌارة وقعت» «ال طٌارتٌن»«...تانك بنزٌن انفجر جوا المطار» ..هذا بخالف مهرجان الهري للجمٌع الذى انفجر على مواقع التواصل االجتماعى من عٌنة «عربٌة انفجرت»« ...انفجار بنزٌنة فً التجمع»«....انفجار كمٌن فً التجمع»«...كارفور المعادي»«...نٌزك». ٌا سادة ..خرج الوزٌر مطمئنا ً الجمٌع وإن كانت البٌانات بٌن ٌدٌه غٌر كافٌة ووافٌة عن موقع االنفجار وأسبابه وما أحدثه من تلفٌات إال أن الغاٌة من الظهور وهو طمؤنة الرأى العام المصرى والعالمى حول أمن وسالمة الطٌران وحركة المالحة الجوٌة فى مصر أهم من توافر تلك البٌانات كاملة. ٌا سادة ...المإسف والغرٌب أن ٌؤتى هذا االنفجار وتلك األنباء ومحاولة إقحام مطار القاهرة فٌه على ُبعد أٌام قلٌلة جدا من هذا التصرٌح المفاجئ والخطٌر الذى طلت به علٌنا فرنسا...عندما أعلن محققون فرنسٌون ،توصلهم إلى أسباب تحطم الطائرة المصرٌة «المنكوبة» بالبحر المتوسط فً ماٌو ،2016مشٌرٌن إلى أن الحادث نجم عن «حرٌق» أدى إلى سقوطها. وذكر فرٌق التحقٌق أن حرٌ ًقا فً «قمرة القٌادة» تسبب على األرجح بسقوط طائرة مصر صا كانوا على متنها. للطٌران عام ،2016ما أسفر عن مقتل 66شخ ً

من جانبها أكدت النٌابة العامة فى مصر أنها مازالت تباشر تحقٌقاتها بشؤن حادث سقوط طائرة مصر للطٌران القادمة من مطار شارل دٌجول ببارٌس ،والذي وقع فً ماٌو .2016 وشدد بٌان صادر من مكتب النائب العام ،أنه ال صحة لما تتداوله بعض المواقع اإلخبارٌة حول الوصول إلى سبب سقوط الطائرة ،وإرجاعه إلى حرٌق فً قمرة قٌادتها ..وأوضحت النٌابة العامة ،أن الثابت من تقرٌر مصلحة الطب الشرعً أنه تم العثور على بقاٌا مواد متفجرة بؤشالء الضحاٌا وبعض المواد المعدنٌة والبالستٌكٌة والصلبة من حطام الطائرة والملتصقة بتلك األشالء المعثور علٌها بموقع حادث الطائرة همسة طائرة ..تحٌة لوزٌر الطٌران ورجاله لرفع درجة االستعداد القصوي والنزول ألرض المهبط ومتابعة الحدث واالطئمنان الكامل لسٌر حركة المالحة الجوٌة وإصدار نفً سرٌع من ان االنفجار خارج المطار والرد الفوري علً جمٌع المهاترات لإلعالم الغربً ..وتحٌة شكر وتقدٌر لكل العاملٌن لحرصهم علً الرد علً الشائعات المغردة لصالح البلد وتواجد الجمٌع داخل المهبط والتكاتف من أجل مصر رغم قوة اإلنفجار وشدته. سٌادة الفرٌق ٌونس المصرى ..الجمٌع ٌعلم أن فصول المإامرة على مصر والطٌران المدنى ما زالت مستمرة وسٌنارٌو استقبال كل وزٌر طٌران بتصدٌر األزمات له لٌس بالجدٌد ولنا فى طائرة قبرص المختطفة وطائرة بارٌس التى سقطت فً مٌاه البحر المتوسط فى عهد وزٌر الطٌران السابق شرٌف فتحى عبرة.. وخاصة بعد تصدٌر أزمة تحقٌقات سقوط طائرة بارٌس من جدٌد ومحاولة إقحام مطار القاهرة بؤى شكل فى االنفجار األخٌر ..ولكن المإكد أن القائد «ٌونس المصرى» لقادر على إحباط أى مإامرة والعبور بالطٌران المدنى المصرى لبر األمان.

قام الطٌار أحمد عادل ،رئٌس الشركة القابضة لمصر للطٌران ،بتكرٌم أسرة المرحوم الطٌار حلمى رزق ،رئٌس مجلس إدارة شركة مصر للطٌران للخطوط الداخلٌة واإلقلٌمٌة إكسبرٌس السابق الذى توفى فى شهر ٌونٌة الماضى ،بحضور مساعد رئٌس الشركة القابضة لمصر للطٌران ،ورإساء مجالس اإلدارات ورإساء القطاعات التابعة لمصر للطٌران وعدد من العاملٌن بشركة إكسبرٌس .وخالل المناسبة تم تقدٌم درع تذكارى من مصر للطٌران ألسرة الفقٌد تقدٌراً لجهوده المتمٌزة التى بذلها خالل فترة عمله بمصر للطٌران كمدٌر إدارة العملٌات بشركة إكسبرٌس منذ عام 2006ثم تولٌه مدٌر عام العملٌات ونائبا ً لرئٌس مجلس اإلدارة إلى أن تولى رئاسة الشركة فى عام 2010وحتى وفاته عام .2018وأعرب الحضور عن بالغ تعازٌهم ألسرة الكابتن حلمى رزق والذى ٌعد من القٌادات المشرفة التى اتسمت بدماثة الخلق واإلخالص فى العمل.

استقبل الطٌار أحمد عادل ،رئٌس مجلس إدارة الشركة القابضة لمصر للطٌران ،وفد شركة بوٌنج العالمٌة بمقر الشركة بالقاهرة ،جاءت الزٌارة فى إطار التعاون المتبادل بٌن الشركتٌن والتى تمتد ألكثر من 50عاما ً .وقد تناول اللقاء عدداً من الموضوعات الهامة ،على رأسها خطة تحدٌث وتطوٌر أسطول مصر للطٌران .وٌذكر أن مصرللطٌران تعاقدت مإخراً على أكبر صفقة لتحدٌث أسطولها الجوى من بٌنها 6 طائرات من طراز البوٌنج B787-9التى تلقب بطائرة األحالم والتى من المقرر استالم أول طائرة منها اعتباراً من الربع االول للعام القادم .2019وفى السٌاق ذاته ،قام الوفد بتهنئة الطٌار أحمد عادل على تولٌه رئاسة الشركة وإهدائه درعا ً تذكارٌة من شركة بوٌنج تقدٌراً لعالقاتها الوطٌدة مع مصر للطٌران.

تم انتخاب الطٌار أحمد عادل ،رئٌس مجلس إدارة الشركة القابضة لمصر للطٌران ،عضواً فى اللجنة التنفٌذٌة لالتحاد العربى للنقل الجوى الـ(AACO). هذا وتتكون اللجنة التنفٌذٌة من تسعة أعضاء من شركات الطٌران األعضاء فى االتحاد. وٌضم االتحاد العربى للنقل الجوى فى عضوٌته 33شركة طٌران عربٌة ،وتشمل المهام التى ٌقوم بها :تعزٌز سبل التعاون المشترك بٌن شركات الطٌران األعضاء ،وتمثٌلها على المستوٌٌن اإلقلٌمى والدولى ،هذا باإلضافة إلى مناقشة كافة القضاٌا تمس صناعة النقل الجوى.

alwafd.news وفى زٌارة للنادى وحضانة إٌروكٌدز «ٌونس» :االنتهاء من مشروعات «اٌروسبورت» بما ٌحقق االستفادة لألعضاء كتبت -أمانى سالمة استمرارا للجوالت التفقدٌة ،التى ٌقوم بها الفرٌق ٌونس المصرى ،وزٌر الطٌران ً المدنى ،لجمٌع مواقع العمل بالهٌئات والشركات التابعة لوزارة الطٌران قام بزٌارة إلى منشآت نادى إٌروسبورت فرع (ب) ،وكان فى استقباله طارق زكى ،رئٌس مجلس إدارة شركة إٌروسبورت للخدمات الرٌاضٌة والترفٌهٌة وبدأت الجولة بتفقد المبنى االجتماعى الذى أنشئ على مساحة 70ألف متر وٌتضمن قاعة حفالت كبرى تسع 400فرد وعدة صاالت متعددة األغراض تستخدم فى المإتمرات والندوات وصالة بلٌاردو كبرى وصالة للشطرنج ،كما تفقد مبنى النادى الصحى والجٌمانزٌوم المجهز بؤحدث المعدات ،والمالعب الرٌاضٌة ،باإلضافة إلى المكتبة والمساحات الخضراء وقاعات الطعام والكافٌترٌات التى تخدم أعضاء النادى .واطلع على المشروعات اإلنشائٌة بالنادى والتى تتضمن مجمع حمامات السباحة األولٌمبى وملعب كرة القدم الرئٌسى وصاالت األلعاب المغلقة، ووجه بسرعة االنتهاء من تلك المشروعات واستكمال كافة األنشطة الترفٌهٌة واالجتماعٌة واالهتمام باألنشطة الثقافٌة بما ٌحقق االستفادة لألعضاء وأسرهم ،وأكد أن الهدف الرئٌسى من هذا الكٌان الرٌاضى الكبٌر هو توطٌد أواصر العالقات اإلنسانٌة واالجتماعٌة واألسرٌة بٌن العاملٌن بقطاع الطٌران المدنى مع توفٌر مناخ رٌاضى متكامل لتنمٌة طاقات وقدرات العاملٌن وأبنائهم فى كافة األنشطة الرٌاضٌة( .إٌرو كٌدز) ثم أعقبتها زٌارة إلى حضانة (اٌرو كٌدز) التابعة للنادى والتى تشتمل على عدد من الفصول الدراسٌة والتدرٌبٌة ومكتبة وغرف الموسٌقى والفٌدٌو واأللعاب ،وغرف الرٌاضة والرسم ،ووجه سٌادته بتقدٌم أفضل رعاٌة لألطفال مع التركٌز على اإلتقان التربوى والعلمى واستخدام اسالٌب تعلٌمٌة حدٌثة تسهم فى تنمٌة القدرات العقلٌة والبدنٌة لألطفال.

أشاد الدكتور أحمد أبوالغٌط ،األمٌن العام لجامعة الدول العربٌة بالدور المشرف الذى قامت به شركة مصر للطٌران لخدمة المشاركٌن فى اجتماع «اللجنة التنسٌقٌة العلٌا للعمل العربى المشترك لجامعة الدول العربٌة» ،حٌث شاركت مصر للطٌران فى هذا الحدث كراع رسمى ورئٌسى لالجتماع والذى ُعقِدَ مإخراً بجده والذى بدأت فاعلٌات دورته الـ 47فى الثالث من ٌولٌو الجارى .هذا وقد قام الدكتور أبوالغٌط بتكرٌم أسامة طه، مدٌر إقلٌم مصر للطٌران بالمملكة العربٌة السعودٌة ،ومدحت الجزار، مدٌر مكتب جدة وبندر الفهٌد ،رئٌس المنظمة العربٌة للسٌاحة بجدة وولٌد الحناوى ،أمٌن عام المنظمة العربٌة للسٌاحةٌ .ؤتى مشاركة مصر للطٌران فى هذا الحدث فى إطار مجهودات الناقل الوطنى فى تنشٌط حركة السٌاحة العربٌة من وإلى جمهورٌة مصر العربٌة.

Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company Captain Ahmed Adel said the national carrier aims to open new markets in one of the important international cities, noting that the Far East market is a promising one for aviation movement. The new route between Cairo and Hong Kong will launch as a twice-weekly service on Mondays and Fridays with a stop over in Bangkok, he added. He also said Egyptair will fly its Airbus A330-300 aircraft on the route, which it configures with two classes. EgyptAir, the flag carrier of Egypt, announced Monday that it will start flights to the Chinese city of Hong Kong on Sept. 17. The new route between Cairo and Hong Kong will be launched on Monday and Friday weekly with a stopover in Bangkok, Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company Ahmed Adel was quoted as saying by official MENA news agency. Adel added that the carrier aims to open new markets in one of the most important international cities, noting that the Far East market is a promising one for aviation industry. He also said EgyptAir will fly its Airbus A330-300 aircraft on the route with two classes. EgyptAir also offers discount of up to 25 percent to its customers on the first flight to Hong Kong on all classes, he said, noting that tickets are currently available till the first day of the flight. Egypt is a favorable attraction to hundreds of thousands of Chinese tourists each year for its historical sites and sunny sandy beaches. According to Egyptian statistics, China has become the fourth largest source country of tourists to Egypt since the beginning of 2017.

The order follows an earlier agreement announced at last year’s Dubai Airshow, a statement from Airbus said. The firm order was signed during the Farnborough International Airshow by Rakan Al-Tuwaijri, CEO of Golden Falcon Aviation, and Eric Schulz, Airbus chief commercial officer. Wataniya Airways resumed operations in July 2017 and currently operates a fleet of four A320 family aircraft serving destinations in the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Asia from its home base in Kuwait. The A320neo family aircraft will support the airline’s vision to become the fastest growing and leading airline in the country, the statement added. With more than 6,100 orders received from over 100 customers, the A320neo Family has captured some 60 percent share of the market.

United Airlines has ordered four more Boeing 787-9s. The deal, disclosed by Boeing at the Farnborough air show, has a list-price value of $1.1 billion, and was previously listed by the airframer as being for an unidentified customer. United has 25 787-9s in service, plus 12 Dreamliners of the -8 variant, Flight Fleets Analyzer shows. It also has 14 787-10s on order.

Think again. But be prepared to pay handsomely one way or another for the alternative. The airline lounge competition is heating up around the globe, and two new entrants, American and United, have, somewhat belatedly, become serious contenders. Like the difference between first-class and economy seats, the luxury lounges offered by many major airlines are yet another way in which air travel is separating the haves from the have-nots. Entry usually requires the purchase of a business- or first-class ticket, and some V.I.P. lounges charge thousands of dollars per visit by individuals or small groups of travelers. There are some exceptions for holders of certain credit cards, and occasionally a traveler can make a one-time visit for a relatively low fee. Farnborough International Airshow The airshow, which began in 1948, is held every two years in Farnborough, England. The five-day trade show, where manufacturers display their latest innovations, starts Monday. The public can attend on July 21 and 22. But regardless of the cost, lounge access has become paramount for business travelers, especially those on overnight flights from the Northeastern United States to Europe, experts say. They want to shower and eat fresh food in the lounge, and then sleep on their flight, so when they arrive in Europe they can head directly to their meeting. For other travelers, lounges can provide “a reprieve from the chaos of the airport, an oasis from the storm,“ said Jack Ezon, president of New York-based Ovation Vacations, an upscale leisure travel agency. To Michael Holtz, owner of SmartFlyer, another upscale travel agency, a lounge can extend a luxury hotel experience. Guests staying in certain high-end suites at the Rosewood London, for example, qualify for free access to the V.I.P. private terminal at London’s Heathrow Airport. Qatar Airways’ Al Safwa first-class lounge at Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar, offers 12 private bedrooms.

American Airlines offers Flagship Lounge access to first- and business-class passengers on transcontinental and international flights and has opened new ones at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, Miami International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport and O’Hare International Airport in Chicago since last year. The lounges have hot and cold buffets, wine, champagne and create-your-own cocktails, showers and quiet rooms. All lounges except O’Hare’s also have restaurant-style dining for first-class passengers. United opened its first Polaris Lounge — available only to passengers flying in its Polaris business class and first class on long-haul international flights, and to business-class and firstclass passengers on Star Alliance airlines’ long-haul international flights — at O’Hare in December 2016. Since spring, it has opened other lounges at San Francisco International Airport, Newark Liberty International Airport and George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. Other Polaris lounges are also planned in Los Angeles and at Washington Dulles International Airport. These will feature a restaurant offering local cuisine; relaxation areas, including daybeds with Saks Fifth Avenue bedding; and shower suites with valet service. But American’s and United’s lounges are in many ways overshadowed by older and newer top-tier airport lounges operated by carriers based outside the United States. Take for example Lufthansa’s First Class Terminal, which opened at Frankfurt Airport in 2004 and was refurbished in 2014, and Cathay Pacific Airways’ Pier first-class lounge at Hong Kong International Airport, which opened in 2001 and was refurbished in 2014.

And then there is Qantas’s Perth Transit Lounge, which opened in March for business-class fliers on the airline’s new 787-9 flights that originate in Melbourne, Australia, stop in Perth and continue nonstop for 17 hours to London; the lounge is also available on return flights from London. The Perth lounge offers seasonal menus from Rockpool Bar & Grill, a Sydney restaurant; an outdoor barbecue and hydration station; bathrooms that provide light therapy and help travelers adjust to the time zone to which they are flying; and a well-being studio that has stretching and breathing classes conducted by a yoga teacher, also custom designed to combat jet lag. Luxury lounges are also operated by the airline alliances. They are are often at highly competitive hub airports and their costs are jointly shared by alliance members. The Star Alliance has seven lounges worldwide, with an eighth scheduled to open in Amsterdam early next year. The SkyTeam Airline Alliance has six worldwide, with new ones scheduled to open in Istanbul and Santiago, Chile, next year. Since 2013, American Express has opened a Centurion Lounge at eight airports in the United States and in Hong Kong. New lounges are scheduled to open next year at New York’s J.F.K., Denver and Los Angeles airports. The lounges are only for holders of its Platinum and Centurion credit cards. These lounges offer menus designed by well-known chefs, shower suites, noisebuffering work spaces, family rooms and staff members who provide credit-card and concierge services.

Originally used by members of the British royal family, heads of state and diplomats, 17 suites are available for business- and first-class passengers. Up to six travelers can buy a two-hour visit in a suite for 2,750 pounds, or about $3,600, which includes concierge and baggage handling services, food prepared by a Michelin-starred chef, private security clearance and transportation in a BMW 7 Series to the airplane. The car can also transfer travelers from London to the airport. Los Angeles International Airport began offering its Private Suite service last year, modeled on Heathrow’s, priced at $3,500 per visit for up to three travelers flying domestically and $4,000 per visit for up to three travelers flying overseas. Fees are less for those buying a $4,500 annual membership. Tyler Dikman, co-founder of LoungeBuddy, an app that rates airport lounges worldwide and sells travelers access to many of them, said elaborate lounges introduced by many carriers based outside the United States “raised the bar and have required U.S.-based airlines to compete if they want to maintain or grow their market share.“ Many carriers use their top-tier lounges as “an extension of their premium onboard experience,“ promoting them on their websites, said Henry Harteveldt, a travel industry analyst and president of Atmosphere Research Group. Speaking during the Mauritian carrier's AGM on Thursday, July 12, CEO Somas Appavou said that the agreement was signed on March 14 and under it, Air Mauritius would provide support and expertise in assessing and the establishment of Karthala Airways. The start-up's parameters have already been defined and it is currently in the process of securing its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC). Named after the Karthala volcano on Grande Comore, Karthala Airways has been a drawing board project since 2006 when it was first incorporated. In an effort to make the airline an operational reality, several other operators have been courted in recent years, including Royal Jordanian (RJ, Amman Queen Alia), but to no avail.

easyJet (U2, London Luton) took delivery of its first A321neo on Friday, July 13. G-UZMA (msn 8314) was ferried from Hamburg Finkenwerder to London Luton where it is awaiting deployment into service. The UK-based budget carrier has a total of thirty A321neo on order from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) all of which are powered by CFM International LEAP-1A32 motors. easyJet and its easyJet Europe (EJU, Vienna) and easyJet Switzerland (DS, Geneva) subsidiaries operate a total of 132 A319-100s, 166 A320-200s and nine A320neo at present.

Turkish Airlines (TK, Istanbul Atatürk) has taken delivery of its first of ninety-two A321neo on order from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac). TC-LSA (msn 8155) was ferried from Hamburg Finkenwerder to Istanbul Atatürk last week and is currently awaiting induction into scheduled service. According to the Star Alliance carrier's 1Q18 financials, it is expecting three A321neo to deliver this year followed by 18 in 2019, 18 in 2020, 20 in 2021, 18 in 2022, and 15 in 2023. The aircraft are powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1133G-JMs and feature 20 seats in Business Class and 162 in Economy Class. Turkish Airlines already operates sixty-eight A321ceo.

The new fleet will support the Omani low-cost carrier’s network growth plans in the region’s under-served and popular short- to medium-haul routes.

Air France-KLM and Chinese partners create single JV
Air France-KLM, China Southern Airlines and XiamenAir said they were streamlining their two existing agreements into a single joint venture (JV) carrying some 1.25 million passengers per year between Europe and China. The aim is to strengthen links between the partners and offer passengers smoother, seamless travel between Amsterdam and Paris and destinations in China including Beijing—served from Amsterdam— Chengdu, Guangzhou, Hangzhou and Xiamen as well as consolidating Air France-KLM’s position in the Chinese market, the airlines said in a statement July 16. KLM president and CEO Pieter Elbers, who is also one of two interim deputy CEOs of the Air FranceKLM group, said the JV “serves to further intensify Air France-KLM’s interests in China.
