نفى مصدر رسمً فً شركة "مصر للطٌران" ،ما نشرته بعض المواقع اإلخبارٌة بشأن تعرض إحدى طائرات الشركة لمشكلة فً الجناح األٌسر، خالل إقالعها من مطار أسوان فً طرٌقها إلى القاهرة. وأضاف المصدر الرسمً ،فً تصرٌحات خاصة لـ"سبوتنٌك" ،الٌوم الثالثاء ،أن شركة مصر للطٌران تواصلت مع مطار أسوان الدولً ،من أجل التأكد من صحة الواقعة التً تداولتها بعض المواقع اإلخبارٌة ،وجاء الرد سلبٌا ،حٌث لم تواجه الرحلة أٌة مشكالت. وكانت أنباء قد ترددت بشأن تأخر الرحلة رقم 091أسوان — القاهرة، بعدما الحظ أحد الركاب شرارة تنبعث من أحد أجنحة الطائرة ،ما اضطر الطٌار للعودة للمطار مرة أخرى ،للتأكد من سالمة الطائرة ،وهو ما نفته شركة "مصر للطٌران".

نفت مصادر مطلعة بشركة مصر للطٌران ،ما تناولته عدة مواقع عن وجود شرار ناري تصاعد من جناح الطائرة رقم 91التً كانت قادمة من مطار أسوان الدولً فً طرٌقها للقاهرة ،مؤكدة أن الخبر عار تماما من الصحة ،وأن الطائرة وصلت القاهرة فً الوقت المحدد لها. وكانت عدة مواقع إخبارٌة قد تناولت اكتشاف أحد المسافرٌن وجود شرار ناري بجناح الطائرة األٌسر لرحلة شركة مصر للطٌران رقم 91 القادمة من مطار أسوان الدولً فً طرٌقها إلى القاهرة أثناء سٌر الطائرة على ممر اإلقالع ،وأبلغ قائد الطائرة الذي عاد مرة ثانٌة إلى مكان انتظار الطائرات ،وإنزال الركاب وعودتهم إلى صالة السفر، وإجراء الصٌانة الالزمة للطائرة ،وهو ما نفته مصادر مصر للطٌران جملة وتفصٌال.

أكدت مصادر صحفٌة ،بأن رحلة 091والتابعة لمصر للطٌران ،والتً كان صباحا ،قد شهدت حدث من المفترض لها أن تتحرك فً الخامسة والنصف ً نادر ،وذلك بعدما الحظ أحد الركاب وجود شرار فً جناح الطائرة االٌسر، وذلك أثناء سٌر الطائرة عبر ممر اإلقالع ،لٌقوم على الفور بالحدٌث إلى باقً الركاب وإلى قائد الطائرة ،وقرر األخٌر العودة من جدٌد إلى مكان إنتظار الطائرات ،وذلك لٌنقذ الركاب من كارثة محققة. وبالفعل تم إنزال كل الركاب من الطائرة وإعادتهم من جدٌد إلى مكان صالة السفر. وذكر شهود عٌان ،بأن الطائرة كان مقرر إقالعها فً تمام الساعة 5.5 صباحا ،وبعدما تحركت الطائرة فً مٌعادها،أثناء سٌرها على الممر وقبل ً اإلقالع بلحظات ،تفاجئنا بأحد الركاب ٌصرخ وٌقول فٌه نار فى جناح موضحا أن ذلك أثار الرعب والذعر لدى المسافرٌن. الطائرة، ً وذكرت التقارٌر اإلعالمٌة ،بان الطائرة قد تحركت بعد هذا المعٌاد بوقت قلٌل ،وذلك بعدما تم إصالح العطل الموجود فٌها ،وذلك وسط حالة من الغضب لدى عدد من ركاب الطائرة ،والذٌن أكدوا بأن لدٌهم مواعٌد طٌران آخرى فً مطار القاهرة ،وكان لدٌهم قلق كبٌر من عدم اللحاق بها.

شهد مطار القاهرة الدولً ،صباح الٌوم الثالثاء ،تأخر إقالع رحلتٌن دولٌتٌن ساعتٌن عن الموعد المقرر لهما ،بسبب ظروف التشغٌل وأعمال الصٌانة ،إضافة إلى إلغاء إقالع رحلة إضافٌة للخطوط السعودٌة لعدم جداوها االقتصادٌة. وقالت مصادر مالحٌة بمطار القاهرة ،لـ"الوطن" ،إن رحلة شركة نسما للطٌران 120المتجهة إلى تبوك تأخرت ساعتٌن عن موعد اإلقالع المقرر لها ،بسبب ظروف التشغٌل ،كما تأخرت رحلة طٌران الشرق األوسط 309المتجهة إلى بٌروت ساعتٌن بسبب أعمال الصٌانة. ٌأتً ذلك فٌما تلقت سلطات المطار إخطارا من الخطوط السعودٌة بإلغاء إقالع رحلتها 386المتجهة إلى جدة؛ لعدم جدواها االقتصادٌة لقلة الركاب.

Aviation connects the world, carrying more than four billion passengers a year, but this global network is also used nefariously by traffickers to transport people against their will. Airlines and airports are determined to assist authorities by reporting suspected human trafficking cases, and making it as difficult as possible for the global air transport network to be exploited for this evil trade, which affects some 25 million people annually[1]. The industry is committed to raising awareness, helping to train staff to recognize the signs of trafficking, and putting in place reporting protocols to alert the appropriate authorities. ―Human trafficking creates misery for millions, and helps fund criminal gangs and terrorism. Aviation is the business of freedom. And we are taking action to help authorities ensure that our global network is not exploited for evil ends. As an industry, we have our eyes open, and are working with governments and law enforcement to stop trafficking. Geneva - The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced that it has entered into an agreement with CFM International (CFM) that will lead to increased competition in the market for maintenance, repair and overhaul services (MRO) on engines manufactured by CFM, a 50/50 partnership between GE and Safran Aircraft Engines. ―Airlines spend a tremendous amount of money on the maintenance and repair of aircraft and engines to ensure we are always operating to the highest levels of safety and reliability. This milestone agreement with CFM will lead to increased competition among the providers of parts and services related to the servicing of CFM engines. We expect increased competition will reduce airline operating costs and help to keep flying affordable. And we hope that this agreement will be an example for other manufacturers to follow,‖ said Alexandre de Juniac, IATA’s Director General and CEO. Under the agreement, CFM has adopted a set of ―Conduct Policies‖ that will enhance the opportunities available to thirdparty providers of engine parts and MRO services on the CFM56 and the new LEAP series engines.

The agreement includes specific provisions ensuring the implementation of CFM’s commitments with regard to CFM56 series engines which power some 13,400 single-aisle aircraft flying today. CFM has, however, committed to apply the agreement to all commercial engines produced by the company, including engines in its new LEAP Series. GE, moreover, has agreed to apply the Conduct Policies to other commercial aircraft engines that it produces in its own right. Beneficiaries of the agreement include IATA, CFM’s airline customers, aircraft lessors, third-party MRO facilities and parts manufacturers. Based on the agreement, IATA has withdrawn a formal complaint it filed with the Competition Directorate of the European Commission in March 2016.

The talks are reportedly at an early stage and the sale is unlikely to be announced any time soon. One of the potential buyers would be Chinese multi-industry conglomerate Fosun International Holdings, which currently owns a 12% stake in Thomas Cook Group and is the second-largest shareholder. The group said it did not plan to sell the airlines imminently but might do so in the future. "While we are open to consolidation where it makes sense for our business, we have no current plans to sell our airline," spokesperson Johannes Winter said. Thomas Cook Group currently owns Thomas Cook Airlines UK, Condor, Thomas Cook Airlines Scandinavia, as well as Thomas Cook Airlines Balearics and Air Berlin Aviation launched earlier in 2018. The holding sold Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium in 2017. As a part of an internal reorganisation, Thomas Cook Group also terminated all flights from the Berlin area and announced recently it would close down its MRO base at Berlin Schönefeld in October 2018. At the end of 2017, the travel group had GBP1.45 billion pounds (USD1.9 billion) worth of accumulated debt, more than 40 times its equity

www.ch-aviation.com Oman's SalamAir eyes Africa-Asia transit traffic SalamAir (OV, Muscat) is looking at tapping into the Africa-Asia transit market using its incoming fleet of A320neo, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mohamed Ahmed has said. The Omani low-cost carrier, which currently operates three A320ceo, recently committed to acquiring six A320neo, the first of which, a direct purchase from Airbus, is due towards the end of the year. The remaining five will be leased and will arrive during the first quarter of 2019. Speaking to The National newspaper, Ahmed said SalamAir was currently studying 20 new destinations, including points in East Africa, Iran, and India for the next phase of its network growth by 2020. It currently serves 18 cities in 13 countries covering the Middle East, the CIS, the Arabian Peninsula, Pakistan, Nepal, and soon Sudan and Bangladesh. Funding for the plan could come via an IPO which could take place beyond 2023. "The aim was to be profitable within 3 years of operating, so we're on target to become profitable by the end of 2019," he added. "An initial public offering is on the cards after the next five years.

Luxair (LG, Luxembourg) has settled on acquiring a pair of second-hand B737-700s to meet its 2019 capacity growth projection forecasts. The airline said in a statement the two Boeing narrowbody jets would feature 142 seats and are slated to arrive in each of March and May 2019. They will be used to develop key routes and launch new destinations for its tour operator, LuxairTours, in particular. Once delivered, Luxair's fleet will entail four B737-700s, four B737-800s, and eleven Dash 8400s

ALK Airlines (VBB, Sofia) has acquired its first Boeing (BOE, Chicago O'Hare) machinery, Skyliner Aviation has reported. Until now, the Bulgarian ACMI/charter specialist had operated an all-McDonnell Douglas fleet of two MD-82s. However, it has since added an ex-Southwest Airlines B737-300, N360SW (msn 26571), to its fleet. The twinjet has already been added to the Bulgarian register as LZ-MVK.

www.ch-aviation.com Italian gov't moves to scrap VIP A340 lease The Italian Government has announced it will move to scrap a lease agreement with Alitalia (AZ, Rome Fiumicino) involving an A340-500 that has been used for VIP/Presidential flights. Owned by Etihad Airways (EY, Abu Dhabi Int'l), I-TALY (msn 748) is operated for the Italian Air Force/Aeronautica Militare Italiana by Alitalia. The contract was signed during the Renzi administration when Etihad first acceded to the now-bankrupt Italian carrier's share capital. "The intention is to terminate the Airbus A340-500's lease agreement, previously purchased for state flights. [This is] a commitment that I have had and we have had since we started our movement; [It is] a sacrosanct decision which is far from symbolic," Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said in social media post last week. "We're talking about EUR150 million euro being spent for an eight-year leasing contract, including EUR20 million to reconfigure it, for an aircraft that was almost never used. Money that the Italian taxpayer had entrusted to the government!" Conte's anti-establishment Lega/Movimento 5 Stelle coalition government, which has made the reduction in wasteful state expenditure a key policy hallmark, took aim at the previous Partito Democratico (PD) administration under whose watch the agreement was signed. However, former prime minister Matteo Renzi has since rejected the current government's accusations that the aircraft was acquired for his own use. The Boeing 777-200 carrying 239 passengers and crew disappeared from radar on March 8, 2014 while flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. CAA chairman Azharuddin Abdul Rahman announced he will leave the agency in 14 days. A report released this week by a multinational investigation team highlighted lapses in communication and coordination between air traffic controllers in Malaysia and Vietnam. The report concluded that these shortcomings delayed alerting and search and rescue operations. Rahman said that while the report does not suggest the crash was caused by Malaysian aviation officials, ―nevertheless, there are very apparent findings with regard to the operations of the Kuala Lumpur air traffic control center.‖ The report ―stated that the air traffic controller[s] did not comply with certain standard operating procedures,‖ Rahman said. ―Therefore, it is with regret and after much thought and contemplation that I have decided to resign‖ as chairman, Rahman said. He stressed that he ―tried my level best to assist in the search for MH370‖ over the last four years. ―I am saddened to have to leave under these circumstances.‖ The investigation team was appointed by Malaysia’s Ministry of Transport. In response to the report, the ministry said it will review the recommendations and take ―appropriate improvement measures‖ to prevent similar incidents. ―At the same time, we will also conduct [a] thorough investigation and take action against any misconduct committed based on the findings under the existing provisions of the law,‖ the ministry said.

Lufthansa Group delivered a €677 million ($812.4 million) net profit for the first half of 2018, up slightly (0.7%) from €672 million net profit a year ago, however flight cancellations and expansion of LCC Eurowings burdened group earnings.
