وأضاف مصدر ،أن الشركة الوطنٌة مصر للطٌران ،سٌرت منذ بداٌ ة الٌوم 108 ،رحالت إلى المطارات الداخلٌة والعواصم العربٌة واألوروبٌة ،فى حالة انتظام حسب جدول التشغٌل ،ودون إل غاء أى رحلة مقررة.

تبدأ الشركة الوطنٌة مصر للطٌران فى إضافة رحلة جدٌدة على خط رحالتها إلى العاصمة الٌابانٌة طوكٌو وذلك اعتبارا من 28اكتوبر القادم . وقالت مصادر بالشركة إن الشركة ستسٌر رحلتٌن أسبوعٌا إلى مدٌنة طوكٌو الٌابانٌة بدءا من 28أكتوبر القادم ،وذلك الهتمام السائح الٌابانى بالسٌاحة التثقٌفٌة فى مدٌنتى األقصر وأسوان ،مشٌرة إلى أن الرحلة ستكون من طراز b777-300er. الجدٌر بالذكر أن مصر للطٌران تسٌر رحلة أسبوعٌا إلى طوكٌو بعد استئناف رحلتها فى 29أكتوبر الماضى ،وذلك بعد توقفها من عام .2013

www.youm7.com وزارة الطٌران تنفى انقطاع الكهرباء عن مطار القاهرة وتوقف حركة التشغٌل كتبت هند مختار كشف المركز اإلعالمى لمجلس الوزراء ،أنه فى ضوء ما تردد من أنباء ُتفٌد بانقطاع الكهرباء عن مطار القاهرة وتوقف حركة التشغٌل ،تواصل المركز مع وزارة الطٌران المدنً ،والتى نفت تلك األنباء تماماً ،مإكد ًة أنه لم ٌتم انقطاع الكهرباء عن مطار القاهرة ،ومشدد ًة على انتظام حركة التشغٌل وعدم توقفها إطالقا ً مع استقرار حركة السفر والوصول داخل صاالت المطار ،وانتظام حركة المالحة الجوٌة وحركة الطٌران دون أى تؤخٌرات فى موعد وصول أو مغادرة الرحالت ،مشٌر ًة إلى أن كل ما ٌتردد من أنباء حول وقف حركة العمل بالمطار نتٌجة انقطاع التٌار الكهربائى شائعات ال أساس لها من الصحة. وأوضحت الوزارة أن حقٌقة األمر تتمثل فى فصل التٌار الكهربائى الٌوم فقط عن منطقة سٌور الحقائب بمبنى الركاب رقم " "3بالمطار إلجراء أعمال الصٌانة بالمبنى لمدة ساعة ونصف من الساعة العاشرة إلى الحادٌة عشر والنصف صباحا ،ثم عادت حركة التشغٌل مرة آخر ى إلى طبٌعتها بالمبنى ،مإكد ًة أن فصل التٌار الكهربائى على هذا المبنى لم ٌإثر إطالقا ً على انتظام حركة التشغٌل والعمل بالمطار. وأشارت الوزارة إلى أن مطار القاهرة الدولى ٌشهد عملٌات تطوٌر تشمل كافة صاالت المطار والمبانً ،وأمام الصاالت من الداخل والخارج ،وذلك فى إطار تنفٌذ خطة التطوٌر العاجلة لمبانى ومنشآت مطار القاهرة والمطارات المصرٌة مع مراعاة انتظام حركة التشغٌل

www.flightglobal.com Ryanair to 'consider re-entering the French market' Ryanair has indicated its readiness to start operating French bases again, citing a national supreme-court judgement relating to social insurance payments collected for Marseillestationed crew between 2006 and 2010. The budget carrier says the ruling reinforces one previously handed down by the European Court of Justice, which deemed social-security certificates issued by the Ireland to be binding on French authorities. The case will now be reheard by Parisian appeal court, adds Ryanair, which expects repayment of some €13 million ($15 million) "in due course". It says the supreme-court decision "paves the way for Ryanair to consider re-entering the French market", adding: "We are already in discussions with a number of French airports, and the French ministry of labour, which we hope will lead to Ryanair announcing some bases in France in the near future, but with pilots and cabin crew based in France, on local French contracts, and paying their social taxes in France rather than Ireland." FlightGlobal schedules data show Ryanair's French capacity has stayed relatively flat since 2013.

Sky Airline (Chile) (H2, Santiago de Chile Int'l) has taken delivery of its first A320neo, delivered to the Chilean low-cost carrier by Air Lease Corporation from its order book with Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac). The unit is the first of three A320neo to be delivered to Sky by ALC and the first of twenty-one A320neo aircraft due from various lessors by 2021. Sky currently operates thirteen A319-100s and two A320-200s. Its chief executive Holger Paulmann told ch-aviation earlier this week that it would plan to start returning its A319-100s to lessors starting next year. The carrier plans to have all of the aircraft of the type retired by the end of 2020. The Chilean LCC currently operates both domestically and internationally to Argentina, Peru, and Uruguay with destinations in Brazil to follow later this year. It is also in the process of launching its first international subsidiary, Sky Perú (Lima Int'l).

www.ch-aviation.com RwandAir mulls A321neo(LR) or B737-7 for EU ops RwandAir (WB, Kigali) is considering adding new generation narrowbody jets, namely either A321neo(LR) or B737-7, for its European operations during the low season, CEO Yvonne Manzi Makolo told Air Transport World. The carrier currently operates its only European service, from Kigali via Brussels National to London Gatwick, with an A330-300. Makolo said that while load factors in the high season are satisfactory, during the low season the Airbus widebody may prove to be too big. RwandAir is looking to add two B737-8s from lessors in 2019, but this type would not have sufficient range to operate the European services. The Rwandan flag carrier, whose widebody fleet currently includes a single A330-200 besides the A330300, is also planning to take delivery of its two A330900s in January and February 2019. These new generation widebodies would then be used on RwandAir's new routes to New York JFK (which is still pending FAA authorisation) and to Guangzhou via Mumbai Int'l. Makolo also said that RwandAir is looking at launching its own MRO centre, but this would probably only happen after the opening of the new airport in Kigali in 2020

Atlas Air (5Y, New York JFK) will add an additional B747400(F) freighter next month for a new long-term charter agreement. Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings has announced that the aircraft would be operating on behalf of Chinese express service provider SF Express on routes between China and the United States. “SF Express plays a very important role in the growing express and e-commerce industries, and we look forward to providing SF Express and its customers with unmatched service and a platform for future global expansion,” William Flynn, Atlas Air's president and chief executive officer said. According to ch-aviation fleets data, Atlas' current customer base includes Amazon International, Asiana Airlines, Boeing, Cathay Pacific, DHL Express, Panalpina World Transport, Qantas Freight, and the United States Air Force. www.ch-aviation.com Nigeria's executive council suspends Nigeria Air project Nigeria's minister of state on aviation Hadi Sirika said in a tweet that he regrets "to announce that the Federal Executive Council has taken the tough decision to suspend the National Carrier Project in the interim." During the official unveiling of the project at the 2018 Farnborough Air Show in July, Sirika said that Nigeria Air (Lagos) was in "advanced" talks regarding aircraft orders and their financing. The carrier planned to launch operations in December this year. Nigeria Air would have been launched as a public/private partnership with the Nigerian government holding just a 5% stake in the carrier. The government held talks with foreign carriers such as Ethiopian Airlines (ET, Addis Ababa) and Qatar Airways (QR, Doha Hamad Int'l) about their potential investment in the proposed new operator. Sirika told Nigeria's Leadership newspaper that the decision to suspend the project had not been caused by pressure from stakeholders. The Nigerian government continues to believe that more air service was needed and that the Nigerian carriers were not delivering that air service. Leadership also quoted an anonymous source as saying that the decision to shut down Nigeria Air was taken by the government's Economic Management Team (EMT). Instead, the Team reportedly chose to accelerate the search for a strategic investment partner who would finance and manage a new airline by itself. The suspension of the project is already the third stillborn attempt by the Nigerian federal government to relaunch a national carrier following the collapse of Nigeria Airways (WT, Lagos) back in 2003. In 2013, the Nigeria One (Lagos) project was abandoned. Two years later the government held talks with Ethiopian, South African Airways (SA, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo), and Lufthansa (LH, Frankfurt Int'l) about potentially relaunching a viable national carrier but they did not yield any material outcomes. Despite being the continent's most populated country with the largest gross domestic product, Nigeria currently lacks a carrier that is strong enough to compete internationally. According to ch-aviation capacity data, Arik Air (W3, Lagos) (in its current much smaller form), Air Peace (P4, Lagos), and Med-View Airline (VL, Kano) combined control just 5.32% of weekly international seat capacity out of Nigeria. Ethiopian Airlines (ET, Addis Ababa) and Emirates (EK, Dubai Int'l) each offer more than 10% by themselves. Air Peace is planning to soon announce its inaugural long-haul routes to be served with B777-200(ER) and B777-300. Med-View Airline (VL, Kano) has added a B777-200(ER) to its fleet recently which also includes an inactive B767-300(ER). It has, however, not yet resumed or announced the resumption of its long-haul operations.

www.ch-aviation.com Turkish Airlines interested in Ghanian airline joint venture Turkish Airlines (TK, Istanbul Atatürk) has joined the likes of Abu Dhabi Aviation (AXU, Abu Dhabi Int'l), Africa World Airlines (AW, Accra), Air Mauritius (MK, Mauritius), and Ethiopian Airlines (ET, Addis Ababa) in expressing its interest in a joint venture with the Ghanaian government to launch a new national carrier for the country. According to a report by Citi Business News, the Turkish ambassador to Ghana Nesrin Bayazit told the country's minister of aviation Joseph Kofi Adda that Turkey would be interested and would have the capacity to help grow Ghana's aviation industry. She referred to Albania as one example where Turkish has just recently helped setting up a national carrier, Air Albania (Tirana). The Ghanaian government is looking at forming a new national carrier as a joint venture with an established technical partner. The previous minister of aviation Cecilia Dapaah told the Ghana News Agency last month that additional investigations into the feasibility of the project were required. She added it it could take up to two years between the government's final decision to go ahead and the launch of operations of the carrier. At present, Ghana only has two active scheduled carriers. Africa World operates six ERJ-145s on domestic and regional routes while PassionAir (OP, Accra) has recently launched domestic operations with a single Dash 8-400.
