مصر للطٌران :تشغٌل رحلة أسبوعٌا ً إلى الصٌن اعتبارا من 27فبراٌر كتبت رحاب نبٌل قررت شركه مصر للطٌران ،تشغٌل رحلة واحدة أسبوعٌا ً كل ٌوم خمٌس ،إلى الصٌن ،اعتبارا من 27فبراٌر الجارى، وذلك نظراً لوجود طلب للسفر فى االتجاهٌن من وإلى جمهورٌة الصٌن الشعبٌة . وأكدت الشركة فى بٌان صحفى ،صباح الٌوم الخمٌس ،أنه من المقرر أن تكون الرحالت بخط سٌر القاهرة إلى بكٌن جوانزو ،والعودة من جوانزو و بكٌن إلى القاهرة ،حٌث سٌتم دراسة الموقف أوال بأول إلتخاذ ماٌلزم من قرارات بشأن زٌادة الرحالت إلى المدن الصٌنٌة طبقا ً للطلب وكانت الشركة الوطنٌة مصر للطٌران ،بدأت تعلٌق رحالتها الجوٌة المتجهة من وإلى المدن الصٌنٌة أوائل الشهر الجارى ،بسبب انتشار فٌروس كورونا ،الذى أودى بحٌاة العشرات وتسبب فى إصابة اآلالف. وأكدت الشركة أن تعلٌق الرحالت جاء حفا ًظا على سالمة وصحة عمالئها من المسافرٌن على متن هذه الرحالت وأفراد الركب الطائر ،وذلك لمواجهة انتشار فٌروس كورونا الذى انتشر فى أكثر من دولة حول العالم. وأعلنت مصر للطٌران ،أن قرار استئناف الرحالت ،سٌكون وفقا لمعاٌٌر الطلب وحجم الحجوزات الواردة الٌها ،وٌأتى قرار تعلٌق الرحالت فى ضوء التزام مصر للطٌران بعودة المجموعات السٌاحٌة المتواجدة حال ًٌا بمصر. وأكدت وزارة الطٌران المدنً أنها تتابع بالتنسٌق مع مركز عملٌات مصر للطٌران المتكامل والجهات المعنٌة تطورات الموقف التخاذ قرار استئناف الرحالت ،كما انها ستقوم خالل المرحله القادمه باستئناف رحالتها الى المدن الصٌنٌة وفقا لمعاٌٌر الطلب وحجم الحجوزات الوارده الٌها ،حٌث أن مصر للطٌران تسٌر رحلة ٌومٌا لجوانزو و 3رحالت أسبوعٌا لكل من بكٌن وهانزو. وتواصل سلطات الحجر الصحى تحت إشراف الدكتور حازم حسٌن مدٌر الحجر الصحً بمطار القاهرة ،إجراءات الفحوصات الطبٌة على كافة الركاب القادمٌن من المدن الصٌنٌة والترانزٌت لدولة الصٌن ،تحسبا لوجود أي اصابات أو االشتباه فً األعراض المرض القاتل ،حٌث ٌتم فحص درجات الحرارة للركاب وأٌضا مشاكل الجهاز التنفسً التً تعد من أعراض الفٌروس القاتل. وفً حال االشتباه فً أي حالة من الحاالت بٌن الركاب القادمٌن على الرحالت الجوٌةٌ ،تم على الفور عزل الراكب وتحوٌله إلى مستشفى الحمٌات بالعباسٌة تحت إشراف محمود غنٌم مشرف إسعاف المطار ،إلجراءات الفحوصات الطبٌة للتأكد من خلوه من العدوى ،فٌما ٌتم منح جمٌع الركاب كروت صحٌة لمتابعة حاالتهم الصحٌة فترة لمدة تصل إلى ٌ 14وما من تواجدهم داخل البالد.

تسٌٌر رحالت طٌران مباشرة من حلب إلى القاهرة

تأجٌل مؤتمر طٌران باألردن بسبب فٌروس كورونا
علنت الجهة المنظمة لمؤتمر لل طٌران كان من المقرر عقده باألردن الشهر المقبل تأجٌله بسبب تفشً فٌروس كورونا الجدٌد ،وذلك عبر الموقع اإللكترونً للمناسبة. كان من المقرر عقد قمة الشرق األوسط وأفريقيا لل طيران ،التي ينظمها مركز كابا لل طيران ،يومي الثاني والثالث من مارس في األردن. وقال كابا إن المناسبة تأجلت بعد دراسة دقٌقة لتأثٌر الفٌروس وبالتشاور مع مجموعة المطار الدولً ،مشغل المطارات األردنً ،الشرٌكة فً تنظٌمها. ولم ٌتضح بعد متى ٌنعقد المؤتمر.

Amid demand plummets linked to the coronavirus, airlines project that this could be their worst year since the global financial crisis Flight cancellations caused by the coronavirus outbreak will likely lead the global air transport industry to shrink for the first time since the global financial crisis of 2008 and 2009, a trade group warned. The International Air Transport Association, otherwise known as the IATA, said on Thursday that it expected to see global air-traffic demand fall about 4.7% from levels it previously predicted for 2020. That would represent a 0.6% global contraction in passenger demand for the year. The bulk of that impact is expected within the Asia-Pacific region, where IATA said it forecasts a staggering 8.2% year-over-year reduction in demand. That translates to a $27.8 billion revenue loss — $12.8 billion within the China domestic market alone. "This will be a very tough year for airlines," Alexandre de Juniac, CEO and director of IATA, said in a statement. "Airlines are making difficult decisions to cut capacity and in some cases routes." IATA previously projected industry-wide growth of 4.1%.
The projections come as global airlines have canceled thousands of flights to mainland China, Hong Kong, and the region due to plummeting demand caused by coronavirus fears, which made operating the flights commercially unviable. US airlines have canceled most flights until late April, while China's airlines have reduced their schedules to bare-bones service. Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific has said it plans to cut its global capacity by 40%, and its capacity to mainland China by 90%. The expected fallout goes beyond airlines — the US travel industry predicts a loss of more than $10 billion due to the virus.

Coronavirus to cause $27.8bn revenue loss for Asian carriers: IATA
NEW YORK -- The new coronavirus outbreak will result in revenue losses of $27.8 billion in 2020 to airlines in the Asia-Pacific region in 2020, nearly half of them Chinese carriers, the International Air Transport Association said on Thursday. "We estimate that global traffic will be reduced by 4.7% by the virus, which could more than offset the growth we previously forecast and cause the first overall decline in demand since the global financial crisis of 2008-09," said Alexandre de Juniac, IATA's Director General and CEO. The impact of the new coronavirus shows a potential 13% full-year loss of passenger demand for carriers in the Asia-Pacific region. IATA initially expected that the region's airline demand will increase by 4.8% on the year. But as many airlines have canceled flights to and from mainland China and Hong Kong due to the outbreak, demand for flights in the region is excepted to drop by 8.2% on the year. The IATA said it estimates total global lost revenue to be $29.3bn. "We don't yet know exactly how the outbreak will develop," the IATA said in its statement, saying that it is premature to estimate what this revenue loss will mean for global profitability. To mitigate the negative impact on the global economy, "Governments should take good note and act quickly," said de Juniac.

Air France-KLM takes €126m charge for A380 withdrawal Air France’s withdrawal of the Airbus A380 fleet has resulted in its parent taking a €126 million ($136 million) impairment on the aircraft type. The flag-carrier disclosed last year that it would retire its A380 fleet by 2022, just 13 years after introducing the double-deck type. Air France originally ordered 12 A380s but only took delivery of 10, having swapped the remaining pair for A350s in 2016. Nine of its 10 A380s remain operational, according to Cirium fleets data. Air France-KLM Group states in its newly-released full-year financial results that the progressive early phase-out of the A380s is likely to cost €370 million. This figure, it says, is mainly due to accelerated depreciation of the aircraft which would normally have assumed a 20-year operational life. The company has taken a €126 million charge for the 2019 financial year. ―Impact of the change in depreciation slopes will be spread over the period through to 2022, consistent with the retirement timetable for the aircraft,‖ it states. The difference between the initial and accelerated depreciation amounts to €52 million, the company says. ―Depreciation slopes have been revised so that the net book value, as of the date of the aircraft’s phase-out, converges with the estimated realisable value,‖ it says. Air France-KLM says the remaining €74 million of the €126 million charge relates to other asset aspects of the A380 operation, particularly cabin retrofit شprogrammes, penalties on contracts, and spares.

ufthansa effectively grounds 13 widebodies amid China suspension
Lufthansa has made a network capacity cut equivalent to 13 widebodies, after suspending services to mainland China amid the coronavirus outbreak. The Star Alliance group says it is taking the opportunity to carry out maintenance work and add reserve capacity in Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna and Zurich. ―The 13 aircraft are not designated aircraft but an average, calculated capacity of 13 long-haul aircraft,‖ it stresses. On 14 February, the group said it was cancelling all of its mainland China flights until the end of March. Until the cancellations, it offered flights to China from Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna and Zurich, variously operated by the Lufthansa mainline and by subsidiaries Austrian Airlines and Swiss.

Nigeria's Green Africa Airways adds A220s for 2020 launch
Green Africa Airways (Q9, Lagos) has announced it has signed for three additional A220-300s on lease from GTLK Europe. The trio of jets will deliver by August of this year and complement the 50 that the nascent Nigerian carrier tentatively committed to with Airbus last week, whose deliveries will start from 2021. "These three aircraft will give us the certainty we need to be able to launch in 2020 and bridge the gap until our first of fifty A220s arrive next year," an airline spokesman told ch-aviation. "We are committed to launching in 2020." Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) records indicate Green Africa Airways was granted an Air Transport Licence (ATL) in early January 2016. The document will expire in early January 2021.

Jet Airways extends deadline as fresh interest emerges The two potential suitors that submitted Expressions of Interest (EOIs) in January for the acquisition of Jet Airways (9W, Mumbai Int'l) have missed a February 17 deadline to submit a binding resolution plan. But one of them has asked for four more weeks to do so, the Business Standard newspaper reported. New Delhi-based firm Prudent Asset Reconstruction Company requested an additional four weeks to submit a proposal to revive the defunct carrier, sources close to the matter said. It is in talks with investors and has submitted letters of support from them. The second suitor, South American conglomerate Synergy Aerospace, did not submit a plan, with sources explaining that a lack of clarity over slots at London Heathrow remains an issue for the group. Jet Airways' committee of creditors agreed at a meeting on February 18 to extend the deadline for the submission of bids to March 10. An unnamed source told the Press Trust of India that the committee had also been swayed by a new expression of interest from a consortium of Russia's state-owned, Moscow-based Far East Asia Development Fund, which has interests ranging from oil and gas to real estate, and its local partner Mumbai-based Enso Group. Jet Airways once possessed 20% to 30% of the available slots at Delhi Int'l and Mumbai Int'l and overseas traffic rights, but these were temporarily allocated to other carriers after the carrier's grounding in April 2019.
