الخمٌس ..مصر تنظم رحلة خاصة لعودة العالقٌن من أسبانٌا كتبت/إنجً خلٌفة تنظم وزارة الطٌران المدنً بالتنسٌق مع وزارة الخارجٌة والهجرة الخمٌس القادم، رحلة استثنائٌة إلى مدرٌد أسبانٌا لعودة العالقٌن المصرٌٌن هناك. وقالت مصادر مطلعة ،إن الرحلة تسٌرها شركة " إٌر كاٌرو" وهً إحدى شركات الطٌران التابعة لوزارة الطٌران المدنً المصري. وأوضحت المصادر ،أن خط سٌر الرحلة الجزائر -برشلونة والعودة إلى مطار مرسى علم الدولً. وأكدت المصادر ،أن العالقٌن المصرٌٌن الذٌن ٌمكنهم االلتحاق بهذه الرحلة والتً ٌبدأ الحجز لها اعتبارا من الٌوم هم الطالب الذٌن لٌس لدٌهم محل إقامة ،أو المواطنٌن الذٌن قاموا بزٌارة قصٌرة إلسبانٌا سواء بغرض العمل أو السٌاحة ،ولٌس المقٌمٌن. ومن المقرر أن ٌخضع جمٌع الركاب العائدٌن إلجراءات الحجر الصحً ،وسٌتم وضعهم لمدة ٌ 14و ًما بأحد الفنادق السٌاحٌة بمرسى علم فً إطار خطة الدولة لمكافحة انتشار فٌروس كورونا المستجد. من جانبها ،أعلنت سلطة الطٌران المدنً المصري ،أن هناك 5حاالت استثنائٌة خالل وقف حركة الطٌران ،حٌث ٌصرح لشركات الطٌران التً تقوم بنقل األفواج السٌاحٌة بأخذ الركاب السابق قدومهم بعد استكمال البرامج السٌاحٌة المخططة والسابق الموافقة علٌها من سلطة الطٌران المدنً المصري ،على أن تصل الرحالت فارغة وتغادر بركابها. وأكدت سلطة الطٌران ،أنه تم التصرٌح برحالت الهبوط الفنً للتزود بالوقود فقط دون مبٌت الطائرة أو نزول الطاقم والركاب ،كما ٌصرح بالرحالت الداخلٌة بٌن المطارات المصرٌة ،كما ٌصرح برحالت الشحن الجوي الدولٌة من وإلى جمهورٌة مصر العربٌة، كما أنه ٌصرح برحالت اإلسعاف الدولٌة من وإلى جمهورٌة مصر العربٌة.المصرٌٌن هناك وإقامة إجراءات الحجر الصحً لهم لمدة ٌ 14و ًما. االدارة العامة للعالقات العامة والمراسم قطاع االمانة العامة بالشركة القابضة لمصر للطٌران

مؤسس خطوط طٌران فٌرجن :سنحتاج مساعدة الحكومة البرٌطانٌة لتخطى األزمة
قال رٌتشارد برانسون مؤسس خطوط طٌران فٌرجن أتالنتٌك الٌوم االثنٌن ،إن الشركة لن تنجو من أزمة تفشً فٌروس كورونا المستجد إال إذا تلقت دعما مالٌا من الحكومة البرٌطانٌة. وطلبت فٌرجن أتالنتٌك ،الشهر الماضً من الحكومة مساعدة مالٌة طارئة إضافة لحزمة أتٌحت لكل الشركات البرٌطانٌة بسبب تبعات التفشً لكن الجانبٌن لم ٌتوصال إلى اتفاق بعد. وقال برانسون فً مدونة لموظفً الشركة "سنفعل كل ما بوسعنا للحفاظ على عمل الشركة لكننا سنحتاج لدعم الحكومة لتحقٌق ذلك فً مواجهة الغموض الشدٌد الذي ٌحٌط بالسفر الٌوم وعدم معرفة المدة التً ستظل فٌها الطائرات رابضة" ،وأضاف "سٌكون ذلك فً صورة قرض تجاري -لن ٌكون ماال مجانٌا وستسدده شركة الطٌران". فٌرجن أتالنتٌك مقرها برٌطانٌا ،وتملك مجموعة فٌرجن التابعة للملٌاردٌر برانسون 51بالمئة منها بٌنما تحوز شركة الخطوط الجوٌة األمرٌكٌة دلتا .%49 وتعرض برانسون النتقادات حادة من سٌاسٌٌن فً حزب العمال المعارض لطلبه الدعم فً وقت قبل فٌه موظفو الشركة بخفض مؤقت فً رواتبهم وأصٌبت األنشطة االقتصادٌة بشلل شبه تام. وقال برانسون إن موظفً الشركة قبلوا بخفض فً رواتبهم لثمانٌة أسابٌع ووصف قرارهم بأنه جاء "باإلجماع" ولم ٌفرض علٌهم من اإلدارة. وأضاف "طالعت الكثٌر من التعلٌقات عن ثروتً لكنها محسوبة على أساس قٌمة شركات فٌرجن فً أنحاء العالم قبل هذه األزمة ولٌست أمواال نقدٌة تقبع فً حساب بنكً جاهزة للسحب" ،وتابع "على مر السنوات لم ُتسحب األرباح الكبٌرة من مجموعة فٌرجن بل أعٌد استثمارها فً بناء أعمال تخلق قٌمة وفرصا .التحدي اآلن ٌكمن فً عدم دخول المال بٌنما ٌخرج الكثٌر منه". االدارة العامة للعالقات العامة والمراسم قطاع االمانة العامة بالشركة القابضة لمصر للطٌران

خطوط طٌران جنوب إفرٌقٌا تتوقف عن العمل وتسرح 4700موظفا كتبت/آمال رسالن أعلنت خطوط طٌران جنوب إفرٌقٌا South African Airwaysتوقفها عن العمل بعد تأثرها بأزمة اقتصادٌة ،وهى شركة الطٌران المملوكة للدولة ،وعضو تحالف ستار Star Allianceمنذ عام .2006 وتستعد الشركة لبٌع أصولها وتسرٌح 4708موظفا ً نهاٌة الشهر الحالى ،مما ٌزٌد من التأثٌر المالى على جنوب إفرٌقٌا ومستقبل صناعة السفر والسٌاحة فٌها. وٌأتى هذا التطور بعد أن رفضت حكومة جنوب أفرٌقٌا تموٌالً إضافٌا ً لشركة الطٌران الوطنٌة ،وقالت أنها استثمرت ما تعدى الـ 1,1ملٌار دوالر أمرٌكى فى مساعدة الشركة ولن تدفع أكثر من ذلك. وقال رئٌس مجلس السٌاحة األفرٌقى Cuthbert Ncubeتعلٌقا على القرار أن هذا تطور محزن وخطٌر لٌس فقط بالنسبة لجنوب أفرٌقٌا ولكن لقارة أفرٌقٌا كلها. من جانبه قال دكتور سعٌد البطوطى المستشار االقتصادى لمنظمة السٌاحة العالمٌة إن الطٌران هو الخاسر األكبر من قٌود السفر وقٌود االبتعاد االجتماعى. الفتا إلى أنه فً الوقت الحالى شركات الطٌران التى بدأت باستئناف تشغٌل رحالتها بالتدرٌجٌ ،جب علٌها االلتزام بمسافات التباعد االجتماعى أى ترك المقاعد المتوسطة بالطائرات خالٌة. وأضاف أنه فى الوقت الحالى بدأت شركات الطٌران أٌضا ً فى التفكٌر فى كٌفٌة إعادة تشغٌل العملٌات فى ظل جائحة Covid-19تماما ً مثل الفنادق أو المحالت التجارٌة، وٌجب على شركات الطٌران أٌضا ً أن تسأل نفسها كٌف ٌمكن التوفٌق بٌن حدود االتصال الحالٌة واستئناف العملٌات. تابع

وتدرس شركة الطٌران ترك المقاعد المتوسطة خالٌة على متن طائراتها من طراز إٌرباص A 320وبوٌنج B 737حٌث أن كل صف بتلك الطرازات ٌحتوي على 6 مقاعد بٌنهما ممر فً المنتصف (ثالثة ٌمٌن الطائرة وثالثة ٌسارها) ،وهذا ٌعنً ترك ثلث المقاعد على الطائرات خالٌة بدون ركاب ،بمعنى أن الطائرة التً سعتها 180 راكب سعتها االستٌعابٌة القصوى 120راكب فقط.

منع بٌع تذاكر الطٌران فً هذه الدولة أمرت السلطات الهندٌة شركات الطٌران العاملة فً البالد بالتوقف عن بٌع أي تذاكر طٌران حتى إشعار آخر ،وهو ما ٌحرم الشركات من مصدر دخل نقدي مهم فً الوقت الذي اتخذت فٌه حكومة رئٌس الوزراء الهندي ،نارٌندرا مودي ،خطوات أشد صرامة الحتواء جائحة فٌروس "كورونا" المستجد. وقالت اإلدارة العامة للطٌران المدنً الهندٌة ،فً إخطار عبر "توٌتر" ،الٌوم ،إنه مع استمرار اإلغالق الوطنً فً الهند حتى 3ماٌو المقبل ،لم ٌتم اتخاذ قرار بشأن السماح برحالت الطٌران بعد رفع القٌود المفروضة على الحركة فً البالد ،مضٌفة أنه ٌجب أال تبٌع شركات الطٌران حالٌا تذاكر لرحالت بعد انتهاء فترة اإلغالق نظرا ألنه لم ٌتحدد أي موعد للسماح باستئناف حركة الطٌران. وأشارت وكالة "بلومبرغ" لألنباء إلى أن هذا القرار ٌمثل ضربة قوٌة جدٌدة لشركات الطٌران التً تعانً من نقص حاد فً التدفقات النقدٌة منذ بداٌة أزمة جائحة "كورونا". وكانت الشركات تستخدم حصٌلة بٌع تذاكر رحالت ما بعد انتهاء اإلغالق الوطنً فً تغطٌة نفقاتها الٌومٌة. وٌعنً قرار اإلدارة العامة للطٌران المدنً فً الهند والذي ٌشمل الشركات المحلٌة واألجنبٌة أنه على هذه الشركات التفكٌر فً إجراءات جدٌدة لخفض النفقات والتً شملت بالفعل منح بعض العاملٌن إجازات بدون أجر وخفض األجور.

EgyptAir Cargo operated 100 cargo services between 23March 2020 and 10 April 2020. The carrier is operating scheduled freighter services to Amman, Bangkok, Beirut, Dubai, Khartoum, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Jeddah, Johannesburg, Kuwait, Riyadh and Sharjah and is using bellyhold capacity on Boeing 777 passenger aircraft to transport medical equipment from China.

IATA Celebrates 75 Years Since Foundation
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) on Sunday, April 19, celebrated 75 years since its foundation.
“As we mark IATA‟s 75th anniversary during these challenging times, we recommit ourselves to representing, leading, and serving the airline industry. We will get through this crisis together,” the association said on social media. IATA was founded in Havana, Cuba, on April 19, 1945. It is the prime vehicle for inter-airline cooperation in promoting safe, reliable, secure and economical air services – for the benefit of the world‟s consumers. Today, the international scheduled air transport industry is more than 100 times larger than it was in 1945. “Few industries can match the dynamism of that growth,

which would have been much less spectacular without the standards, practices and procedures developed within IATA,” the association says. At its founding, IATA had 57 members from 31 nations, mostly in Europe and North America. Today it has some 290 members from 120 nations in every part of the globe. The modern IATA is the successor to the International Air Traffic Association founded in the Hague in 1919 – the year of the world‟s first international scheduled services.

IATA CALLS FOR 'IMMEDIATE' AVIATION SUPPORT The International Air Transport Association (Iata) has once again called for government to give "immediate support" to the aviation industry. In a joint statement released with the International Transport Workers‟ Federation )ITF(, Iata asked authorities around the world to coordinate with each other, offer immediate financial and regulatory relief to airlines and adapt legislation to assist the industry, as well as prioritising the safety of health workers. They stressed the aviation industry‟s contribution to keep supply chains open and repatriating citizens. “Airlines are facing the most critical period in the history of commercial aviation," said Alexandre de Juniac, Iata‟s director general and chief executive. "Some governments have stepped in to help, and we thank them. But much, much more is needed. "Direct financial support is essential to maintain jobs and ensure airlines can remain viable businesses. And when the world is ready to start travelling again, the global economy will need aviation at its best to help restore connectivity, tourism and global supply chains."

Four of Norwegian‟s crew subsidiaries file for bankruptcy Scandinavian budget carrier Norwegian has confirmed that four subsidiaries which employ more than 4,000 pilots and cabin crew members in Denmark and Sweden have filed for bankruptcy. Norwegian„s crew members in Scandinavia are employed by various subsidiaries of the company. Norway-based employees‟ salaries are covered by the country‟s government while they are furloughed, but the same is not true for crewmembers based in Denmark and Sweden, says the airline. As a result, it had “no choice but to apply for bankruptcy” for three subsidiaries in Denmark and one in Sweden.

The move will affect 1,571 of Norwegian‟s pilots and 3,134 of its cabin crew. Some 700 pilots and 1,300 cabin crew based in Norway, France and Italy are unaffected, notes the airline. “We have done everything we can to avoid making this last-resort decision and we have asked for access to government support in both Sweden and Denmark,” states Norwegian‟s chief executive Jacob Schram. He adds: “It is heartbreaking that our Swedish and Danish pilot and cabin crew subsidiaries now are forced to file for bankruptcy, and I‟m truly sorry for the consequences this will have for our colleagues. We are working around the clock to get through this crisis and to return as a stronger Norwegian, with the goal of bringing as many colleagues back in the air as possible.” Norwegian says the bankruptcy process for the four subsidiaries is being managed by the courts in their respective countries. The airline has also cancelled crew-provision agreements with subsidiaries employing crew based in the UK, Spain, Finland and the USA, prompting analysts to wonder whether it is retrenching to Norway.

Credit Suisse writes that the airline‟s moves are “suggesting to us it may close its Gatwick/Spanish bases”. Bernstein analyst Daniel Roeska described Norwegian on 14 April as being “at the end of the line” after it proposed converting debt to equity in order to qualify for state aid. He wrote that Oslo had an interest in keeping the airline alive to facilitate connectivity for its corporate sector, but asked whether the airline would “admit that the long-haul, low-cost experiment has failed and retreat back to its Nordic core”.

United reports preliminary $2.1 billion first-quarter loss United Airlines has reported a preliminary pre-tax loss of $2.1 billion for the first quarter of 2020 and a $1 billion pre-tax loss on an adjusted basis. Total revenue in the first quarter declined by 17% compared to the first quarter of 2019, the Chicago-based airline stated in a 20 April US Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
United also said in the SEC filing that on 17 April it applied for a CARES Act loan. The carrier expects to be able to borrow up to approximately $4.5 billion from the US treasury department for a term of up to five years.

The CARES Act authorises the treasury department to make available to passenger air carriers $25 billion in loans, loan guarantees and other investments to provide liquidity that would assist them in the management of losses incurred as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. United stated on 20 April that if it ultimately borrows $4.5 billion through the CARES Act loan programme it would “issue warrants to purchase approximately 14.2 million shares of UAL common stock at a strike price of $31.50 per share )which was the closing price of UAL‟s common stock on the Nasdaq stock market on April 9, 2020), on the same terms as the warrants expected to be issued under the Payroll Support Program”. United announced on 15 April that it would receive $5 billion through the CARES Act‟s Payroll Support Program. Of that $5 billion, $3.5 billion will be outright grants and an additional $1.5 billion will be in lowinterest loans. United expects to issue to the federal government warrants to purchase approximately 4.6 million shares of common stock through the Payroll Support Program.

Norwegian staffing companies file for bankruptcy
Norwegian (DY, Oslo Gardermoen) has filed for bankruptcy for its three Danish crew management subsidiaries and one in Sweden. With almost all of its flight operations cancelled, the crew costs remain, and despite cost-cutting measures already undertaken, the boards of these companies “saw no other way but to file for bankruptcy” on April 20. In Norway, it said, there are “efficient furlough opportunities, which means that the government pays for all salary-related costs throughout the duration of the furlough period,” but “there is not the equivalent coverage in Sweden or Denmark.” Norwegian said it had also notified Norway-based OSM Aviation - which is half-owned by Norwegian and manages the crews in Finland, Spain, Sweden, the UK, and the US - that all crew provision agreements with it had been cancelled. In total, the move will affect exactly 1,571 pilots and 3,134 cabin crew, the statement said, adding that around 700 pilots and 1,300 cabin crew in Norway, France, and Italy are not affected. “The impact coronavirus has had on the aviation industry is unprecedented. We have done everything we can to avoid taking this last resort, and we have requested access to government support in both Sweden and Denmark,” said Norwegian CEO Jacob Schram. “It is heartbreaking that our Swedish and Danish pilot and cabin crew subsidiaries are now forced to file for bankruptcy [...]. Haji-Ioannou seeks to depose easyJet CEO Stelios Haji-Ioannou, founder and the main shareholder of easyJet (U2, London Luton), has again stepped up his criticism of the management of the LCC for noncancellation of outstanding Airbus orders. He is now seeking to depose Chief Executive Johan Lundgren and Non-Executive Chairman John Barton. "I have previously referred those in charge of easyJet as scoundrels. This remains my view. They made a deliberate mistake in affirming the contract between easyJet and Airbus worth at least GBP4.5 billion pounds (USD5.6 billion)... As a result of this deliberate mistake to affirm the Airbus contract, I will call for the removal as directors of two more of the scoundrels in addition to the other two from earlier requests," Haji-Ioannou said in a statement issued by his investment vehicle easyGroup Holdings. He justified his demand by accusing Lundgren of approving "sending GBP1.5 billion (USD1.9 billion) of our money to Airbus whilst running an "aircraft parking lot", and Barton of refusing to launch an independent inquiry into whether Airbus had secured the easyJet contract by bribery.

Qantas to continue A380 retrofits despite grounding 17.04.2020 - 11:30 UTCQantas (QF, Sydney Kingsford Smith) still plans to complete the cabin retrofit of all twelve A380-800s by the end of 2020, or early 2021 in case of manufacturer delays, despite the ongoing grounding of the airline and the uncertain future of its large-widebody fleet, the Executive Traveller has reported. The Australian airline has already retrofitted three A380800s with new passenger seats across all four classes. A further three are currently undergoing cabin outfitting (two in Dresden and one in Abu Dhabi Int'l). The remaining six are due to undergo this process in the coming months. The knock-on effects of the pandemic affecting the supply chain could extend the duration of the refurbishment programme into 2021. Last year, Qantas Group Chief Executive Alan Joyce said that Qantas was committed to operating the A380s through the late-2020s. However, the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has sparked rumours about potential early retirement of the type.
