وعلمت «المصري الٌوم» أن الشركة الوطنٌة القابضة «مصر للطٌران» أعلنت تسٌٌر رحلتٌن ،غدًا الخمٌس ،إلى لندن العاصمة البرٌطانٌة ،لكل طائرة 150مصري عالق، بإجمالً 300مصري عالق ،باإلضافة إلى تسٌٌر رحلة ٌومٌة لمدة أسبوع من دولة الكوٌت إلى القاهرة ،وذلك بداٌة من ،الٌوم األربعاء. كان الطٌار رشدي زكرٌا ،رئٌس مجلس إدارة الشركة القابضة لمصر للطٌران ،أعلن أن الشركة ،تعمل فً ظل ظروف صعبة للغاٌة بسبب إنتشار فٌروس كورونا المستجد ،وأن جمٌع العاملٌن بالشركة مستعدون للتضحٌة بأرواحهم من أجل رفع راٌة مصر للطٌران عالٌة. وكشفت مصادر مطلعة بالشركة الوطنٌة القابضة ،أن ترتٌب آلٌات الحجز تتم اآلن بمعرفة مندوب الشركة والقنصلٌة المصرٌة بالكوٌت ،مشٌرة إلى أنه تم االتفاق على تسٌٌر رحلة ظهرا. ٌوم ًٌا لمدة أسبوع ،وذلك بموعد إقالع ثابت من دولة الكوٌت الساعة 1.25 ً ونجحت الشركة الوطنٌة القابضة مصر للطٌران ،بالتنسٌق مع الطٌران المدنً بكل من مصر والكوٌت ،فً تنظٌم رحالت لعودة المصرٌٌن بالتنسٌق مع السفارة المصرٌة بالكوٌت والتً تبدأ من الٌوم األربعاء ،وحتى 30من نفس الشهر ،للمقٌمٌن فً دولة الكوٌت الراغبٌن فً المغادرة إلى مصر. وأعلنت سلطة الطٌران المدنً المصرٌة أعلنت توقف حركة الطٌران المدنً الخمٌس الماضً ،من خالل خطاب إلى كافة شركات الطٌران وشركات الطٌران العاملة بمصر ،أكدت فٌه على توقف حركة الطٌران ،سواء القادم أو المغادر من المطارات المصرٌة ،واستثنى الخطاب 5حاالت من التعلٌق ،حٌث صرحت السلطة للطائرات بالهبوط فً المطارات المصرٌة ،لشركات الطٌران التً تقوم بنقل أفواج سٌاحٌة بأخذ الركاب السابق قدومهم بعد استكمال البرامج السٌاحٌة المخططة والسابق الموافقة علٌها من سلطة الطٌران المدنً على أن تصل الرحالت فارغة وتغادر بركابها. كما صرحت برحالت الهبوط الفنً للتزود بالوقود فقط دون مبٌت الطائرة أو نزول الطاقم والركاب ،كما صرحت سلطة الطٌران المدنً بالرحالت الداخلٌة بٌن المطارات المصرٌة، ورحالت الشحن الجوي الدولٌة من وإلى جمهورٌة مصر العربٌة ،وٌصرح برحالت االدارة العامة للعالقات العامة والمراسم اإلسعاف الدولٌة. قطاع االمانة العامة بالشركة القابضة لمصر للطٌران

اإلمارات تلغً تصرٌح رحلة طٌران إلعادة مواطنٌن روس من دبً
ألغت سلطات الطٌران المدنً فً اإلمارات تصرٌحا كانت قد منحته لشركة الطٌران الروسٌة "بوبٌدا" لتنفٌذ رحالت إلعادة ركابها من هناك بحسب ما أعلنته الدائرة الصحفٌة للشركة. وفً ظل انتشار فٌروس وكورونا واإلجراءات االحترازٌة التً فرضتها الحكومة الروسٌة لمكافحة انتشاره ،علقت "بوبٌدا" منذ 20مارس الجاري رحالت الطٌران بٌن موسكو ودبً ،لكن الشركة قررت تنفٌذ 4رحالت من دبً إلعادة ركابها من اإلمارات. وقالت الشركة الروسٌة ،إن السلطات اإلماراتٌة رفضت الٌوم إعطاء اإلذن بالهبوط فً مطار دبً لطائرة كانت متجهة إلعادة ركاب الشركة من هناك ،ما اضطر الشركة لقطع الرحلة والهبوط بالطائرة فً مطار ماختشكاال الروسً ،بانتظار الحصول على تصرٌح جدٌد من اإلمارات. وعلقت الدائرة الصحفٌة على اإلجراء اإلماراتً قائلة ،إنها "المرة األولى التً نواجه فٌه حالة عندما تقوم سلطات طٌران فً بلد ما بإلغاء تصارٌح دون تقدٌم أٌة توضٌحات، رغم أنها قد منحت تصرٌحا لتنفٌذ رحالت إلعادة الركاب". وأشارت إلى أن 189راكبا فً دبً بانتظار هذه الطائرة إلعادتهم إلى روسٌا ،مشددة على أن الشركة الروسٌة تبذل كل ما فً وسعها لحل المشكلة. وقررت روسٌا على غرار دول أخرى حد الحركة الجوٌة على خلفٌة جائحة فٌروس من الرحالت الجوٌة فً ظل هذه عدد إللغاء عدٌدة طٌران شركات واضطرت . كورونا االدارة العامة للعالقات العامة والمراسم القٌود. قطاع االمانة العامة بالشركة القابضة لمصر للطٌران

Airlines will fail in weeks if governments do not intervene, IATA warns
Airlines around the world may collapse and fail if governments do not intervene soon, an industry group is warning. Alexandre de Juniac, the chief executive of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) told reporters on a conference call Tuesday morning that many airlines do not have strong enough balance sheets to survive the crisis prompted by the coronavirus outbreak. Airlines everywhere are grappling with a severe decline in traffic as passengers stay home and governments impose strict travel restrictions. “We need governments to act fast with financial relief to avoid a liquidity crisis, where (airlines) run out cash and almost half of the companies.

Air Canada has also slashed its capacity,

suspending a majority of its international and transborder flights by the end of the month. So far, at least 15,600 people have been laid off from WestJet, Air Canada and Transat. Airlines have cut capacity, grounded planes and laid off employees in order to reduce costs amid the drastic decline in revenue. Over the last several weeks, IATA has urged governments to step in and provide financial support to airlines. IATA’s chief economist Brian Pearce said Tuesday that the group’s previous worst-case scenario estimate – that airlines would collectively lose $113 billion in revenue as a result of COVID-19 – was a gross underestimate. “What this suggests now is we’ll see a revenue loss compared to 2019 of over $250 billion, which is something like 44 per cent down from 2019 levels,” Pearce said. “Clearly, this is a tremendous revenue shock.” Pearce said that, outside of the world’s top 30 airlines, many companies are in a position where they can’t survive a prolonged stall in traffic. “There are lots of debt-servicing and fixed obligations for airlines to have to pay,” he said. “The challenge is that, before any recovery takes place, airlines may well run out of cash.” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has held discussions with the chief executives of Air Canada and WestJet, and has signalled that financial relief for the airline industry is coming. Beijing moves to beef up air cargo capacity Beijing will take steps to bolster domestic and international air cargo capacity amid the global coronavirus pandemic, including support for air freight companies and logistics firms. The official China Daily newspaper quotes premier Li Keqiaing as stating that the massive reduction in global air traffic has created issues for supply chains owing to dwindling air cargo capacity. “With the (COVID-19) pandemic rampaging across the world and air passenger services dwindling worldwide due to the outbreak, cargo volume carried by passenger planes has plummeted and shipping costs have risen significantly,” he is quoted as saying. To counter this, Beijing intends to provide support for air cargo firms, to the extent that they will be able to “lease or purchase” additional cargo aircraft. In addition, mergers and reorganizations could be on the cards. Support will be directed to express delivery firms to help them support expanded air services and overseas operations.

Li said companies would receive support irrespective of their ownership. This suggests both privately owned firms and state-run airlines and companies will benefit from Beijing’s initiative. Li did not give details as to the overall cost of the plan. “The manufacturing sector has been the first to resume operations, and experience has been gained in this process,” says Li. “The major challenge is clogged supply chains. UK air transport representatives try to calm concerns over government aid UK airline and crew interest groups are trying to allay concerns over planned government support to the industry after confusion emerged over the nature and extent of financial measures for the sector. Pilot union BALPA insists that recent suggestions that the government is backpedalling on plans to assist the industry are “misleading”. “Discussions about unique measures for individual airlines are ongoing,” it states. UK chancellor Rishi Sunak had informed Parliament on 17 March that, as part of emergency funding measures to counter the impact of the coronavirus crisis, he would be discussing a “specific potential support package” for airlines and airports with UK transport secretary Grant Shapps. He added that they were “actively engaging” with companies and airports in the sector to “establish what support is required”. . ”

Beijing Daxing Int'l Airport has opened to commercial passenger traffic with its inaugural revenue service China Southern Airlines flight CZ3001 Beijing DaxingGuangzhou - having taken off at 1620L on Wednesday, September 25. The sprawling new aerodrome will compliment the more centrally located Beijing Capital Airport and provide for additional growth in China's aviation market which is expected to become the world's largest domestic aviation market in terms of new passengers in the next three to six years, IATA predicts.

Daxing currently features four concrete runways, ranging in length between 3,400 and 3,800 metres, and will be capable of handling 75 million passengers per annum by 2025. The Pros And Cons Of Boeing Building The 797/NMA With the 737 MAX still pegged to be ungrounded by the middle of the year and the 777X successfully completing its first flights, Boeing’s attention will soon turn to the next clean sheet project on the cards. But what will it be?
For the longest time, we’ve awaited a firming up of the designs for a New Midsize Airplane (NMA), affectionately dubbed the 797. Boeing has been floating the idea of this aircraft for many years, but has yet to make a formal announcement or reveal any specific characteristics of the design.

Speculators suggest it would be a small widebody, around 250 seats in capacity, which could fly to distances ranging from 4,000 to 5,000 nautical miles. It would sit between the largest of the 737 MAX jets, the MAX 10, and the smallest of the Dreamliner variants, the 787-8, in the Boeing lineup, filling a gap that is perceived to be in high demand by airlines in the future. However, since new boss Dave Calhoun took charge at the start of the year, the project has been under serious threat. Within days of starting in his role, Calhoun threw out the ideas for the 797 that were already on the table, and stated that the company would be reviewing the direction of its product line thoroughly over the coming months. Pros of building the 797 The NMA was originally intended to plug a gap in the market which will be left by the aging fleet of 767s as they begin to retire. This logic is still as valid today as it was when the 797 was conceived, but what other reasons are there to build it?

It completes the Boeing portfolio: The gap in Boeing’s product lineup means airlines are looking to its competitors to fill in the gap. From a business perspective, this isn’t good, and is doubtless something Boeing wants to address so that it can offer a plane for every mission requirement. Airlines still want it: Although some Boeing customers have sought a product solution from Airbus, some are still keenly waiting for the 797 announcement. Delta’s CEO Ed Bastian was reported by Bloomberg last year as saying that he hopes they will do it, and other Boeing customers doubtless feel the same. The market is huge: The middle segment of the market is anticipated to have a demand of some 4,000 to 5,000 aircraft over the next 20 years. It is valued at $1.5 trillion, and clearly Boeing would be silly to not attempt to take a piece of this pie. Cons of building the 797 While there are still some valid points to be made in support of the NMA, there is also a growing base of evidence that it is simply not needed anymore. For example:

Airbus already offered a solution: Airbus has launched an attack on the middle of the market niche with its own A321XLR, announced at last year’s Paris Air Show. While it’s not a widebody, it does tick many of the boxes airlines are considering when looking for a midsized replacement. Airbus covered the upper end too: Along with the launch of the XLR, Airbus has also recently achieved certification for its smallest widebody, the A330-800. Again, this smaller widebody isn’t entirely the NMA package, but it does tick a number of boxes for a suitable 767 replacement. Boeing needs a new small airplane more: The bread and butter of Boeing’s business is built on the 737. With the MAX already distrusted around the world, and essentially a compromise between a 70-year-old airframe and the wonders of modern technology, a clean sheet reworking of Boeing’s short-haul line has been needed for quite some time. better spent on this area of its business. The world needs more innovation: Considering the amount of time it takes for a clean sheet design to achieve certification and to enter production, at a minimum we’ll be looking at 2030 or later before any new aircraft take to the skies. By then, it would be hoped manufacturers would be innovating a bit harder to bring us less polluting, more efficient and more modern aircraft, perhaps something along the lines of the TTBW or Airbus’ blended wing concept. Overall, Boeing has a great opportunity ahead of it to set the aviation world up with a product it really needs. With pressure to become more environmentally friendly, whether airlines need an NMA/797 right now is up for debate. Perhaps Boeing’s efforts would be better concentrated on developing an aircraft that is fit for the future, rather than just yet another size of aircraft that is largely the same as everything in the skies today.

British Airways Continues Flights Via Singapore Despite Transit Ban British Airways is continuing to fly to Australia via Singapore despite a transit ban in the Asian nation. The move is in contrast to Australian alliance partner Qantas, which has begun rerouting its Sydney to London service.
The coronacrisis has had a huge impact on the global aviation industry. Initially, a fall in demand was hitting airlines hard. However, this demand collapse has now been largely supplemented with government travel bans. Earlier this week, Singapore placed a ban on passengers transiting in the country. This had a huge effect on Singapore Airlines which has just nine aircraft left flying. But how have others been affected?

British Airways continues to use Singapore Singapore is the stop that British Airways uses to refuel its aircraft when flying to Sydney. The airline used to also offer a stop in Bangkok, however, this was ended in 2012. While the aircraft stops in Singapore, passengers are usually asked to leave the aircraft while the aircraft is refueled, and new catering is loaded. Indeed, this was the case when I took the flight in 2009. However, Singapore Changi Airport is currently not permitted to accept transit passengers. This would make you wonder how British Airways can keep the service operational.

It seems as though Executive Traveller has found the answer. It has reported that British Airways has received permission from Singapore’s Civil Aviation Authority to continue to operate the flight. However, there are conditions attached. Advertisement It seems as though passengers will have to remain on board the aircraft while it is serviced. This means that passengers will be stuck on the plane for a total of 22 hours. This is almost four hours longer than the world’s longest non-stop flight. One would hope that the airline schedules a Boeing 777 with the new Club Suite on the route! Simple Flying approached British Airways regarding this story. A spokesperson for the airline declined to comment. Qantas will suspend the route Typically both Qantas and British Airways operate flights from London to Sydney via Singapore. British Airways is currently using a Boeing 777 for the route. Meanwhile, Qantas uses the giant of the skies for its flagship route. In the future, it wants to operate the route non-stop. Singapore, Qantas is flying its A380 non-stop from Australia to the UK. It is currently flying from Sydney to Darwin, and then on to London Heathrow. This service, however, is due to be suspended shortly as the Australian government places travel restrictions on outgoing passengers.
With several of the big Middle East airlines grounded at this time, British Airways will, for the time being, become the main choice for passengers traveling between the United Kingdom and Australia.
