اجتماعات مكثفة بغرفة السٌاحة السترداد المستحقات ..والعلٌا تناقش اآللٌة وموقف الرسوم الشاعر :شركات السٌاحة األحرص على مصالح المعتمرٌن والطلب األكثر على تأجٌل السفر استجابة لتحركات غرفة شركات السٌاحة ..وافقت شركات الطٌران الخاصة العاملة فً رحالت نقل المعتمرٌن على إلغاء كافة الغرامات والرسوم على تذاكر العمرة الملغاة بعد القرار السعودي بتعلٌق رحالت العمرةٌ ،سري هذا اإللغاء فً حالة استرداد قٌمة التذاكر أو تأجٌل موعدها أو تغٌٌر وجهتها. ٌأتً هذا القرار بعد أن وافقت كل من شركتً مصر للطٌران والخطوط الجوٌة السعودٌة ،أمس األول ،على قرار مماثل فور صدور القرار السعودي ،وقررت الشركتان إلغاء كافة الغرامات والرسوم على التذاكر الملغاة فً حالة استرداد قٌمتها.. أو تأجٌل توقٌتها أو تغٌٌر خط سٌرها. ووجه مجلس إدارة الغرفة برئاسة حسام الشاعر الشكر إلى شركات الطٌران؛ لتعاونهم المستمر مع قطاع السٌاحة. ٌأتً ذلك فً إطار جهود غرفة شركات السٌاحة للمتابعة على مدار الساعة لتداعٌات قرار السلطات السعودٌة بتعلٌق منح تأشٌرات العمرة وتعلٌق الدخول مؤقتا لحٌن تجهٌز الحجر الصحً بجمٌع منافذ الدخول للمملكة بناء على تعلٌمات وزارة الصحة السعودٌة بسبب الكورونا .االدارة العامة للعالقات العامة والمراسم قطاع االمانة العامة بالشركة القابضة لمصر للطٌران
2 واستمرت تلك الجهود من غرفة العملٌات التً تم تشكٌلها من أعضاء مجلس إدارة الغرفة مع شركات الطٌران عن الوصول لحلول تراعً حتمٌة الظرف الطارئ فً إلغاء الرحالت. من ناحٌة أخرى ،وفً إطار االجتماعات المكثفة بغرفة شركات السٌاحة األٌام الماضٌة ،عقدت لجنة السٌاحة الدٌنٌة بالغرفة اجتما ًعا استمر عدة ساعات لبحث آخر تداعٌات الموقف بالنسبة لرحالت العمرة ،وآلٌة استرداد مستحقات الشركات السٌاحٌة لدى شركات الطٌران والفنادق والخدمات لمن ٌرغب من أصحاب الشركات تمهٌدا إلعادتها إلى المعتمرٌن. ومن المنتظر أن ٌتم استكمال المناقشات فً اجتماع اللجنة العلٌا الحج والعمرة الٌوم، والتً تضم فً عضوٌتها ممثلٌن لوزارة السٌاحة وغرفة الشركات واتحاد الغرف السٌاحٌة ،بجانب بحث الموقف من كافة الرسوم والمستحقات التً تم تحصٌلها من المعتمرٌن الذٌن لم ٌتمكنوا من السفر. ومن جهته ،أكد حسام الشاعر رئٌس غرفة شركات السٌاحة ،أن الشركات هً األحرص على مصالح المعتمرٌن باعتبارهم عمالئها وخٌر سفٌر ودعاٌة للشركات السٌاحٌة بٌن جموع المواطنٌن ،مشٌرا إلى حرص الشركات أٌضا على إعادة المستحقات لمن ٌرغب من المعتمرٌن الذٌن لم ٌتمكنوا من السفر بسبب قرار السلطات السعودٌة بوقف رحالت العمرة مؤقتا حرصا على سالمة المعتمرٌن. وأضاف أن الشركات تتلقى طلبات باسترداد المستحقات وهناك طلبات أكثر من المواطنٌن بعدم استرداد المستحقات وتركها لحٌن عودة الرحالت والسفر ألداء العمرة ثقة فً شركات السٌاحة ،مؤكدا أنه سٌتم خالل ساعات تحدٌد آلٌة واضحة وسهلة إلعادة المستحقات لمن ٌرغب من المعتمرٌن ،مردفا" :ال توجد أٌة شكاوى من شركات السٌاحة فً هذا الشأن". االدارة العامة للعالقات العامة والمراسم قطاع االمانة العامة بالشركة القابضة لمصر للطٌران

1 الطٌران المدنً الكوٌتً :وقف الرحالت من وإلى 7دول بسبب كورونا كتب :رامى محٌى الدٌن
نشرت فناة العربٌة خبرا عاجال عن توقف الرحالت الجوٌة الكوٌتٌة من وإلى 7دول بسبب كورونا. وكان أحمد المنظورى ،المدٌر اإلقلٌمى لمنظمة الصحة العالمٌة ،قد صرح بأن الكوٌت بذلت جهودا كبٌرة فى مواجهة فٌروس كورونا ،موضحا أن وفد المنظمة التى ٌزورها أوصى بإجراءات إضافٌة من أجل منع انتشار هذا الفٌروس. وأضاف المنظورى خالل مؤتمر صحفى مشترك بٌن وزارة الصحة الكوٌتٌة ومنظمة الصحة العالمٌة ،أن المنظمة تدعم جهود التعاون بٌن الدول لمواجهة هذا الفٌورس خاصة على المستوى المادى والتقنى واللوجٌستى ،مشددا على أن احتواء فٌروس كورونا ومنع انتشاره ٌتطلب جهودا جماعٌة واستثمارات أكبر وصوال إلى احتواء كافة األمراض السارٌة المحتملة وتعزٌز النظم الصحٌة ،مما ٌقربنا من تحقٌق معدالت أعلى للحفاظ على صحة اإلنسان فى كافة دول العالم. فٌما ٌزور وفداً من منظمة الصحة العالمٌة الكوٌت ،لمتابعة اإلجراءات التى تم اتخذها من قبل السلطات الكوٌتٌة للتعامل مع فٌروس كورونا ،وذلك بطلب من وزارة الصحة الكوٌتٌة مثل إجراءات الحجر الصحى وغٌرها. وفٌما أكدت وزارة الصحة الكوٌتٌة ،عدم تسجٌل أى إصابات جدٌدة بفٌروس كورونا خالل الـ 24ساعة الماضٌة ،مؤكدة على استقرار الحالة الصحٌة لجمٌع المصابٌن بالفٌروس. االدارة العامة للعالقات العامة والمراسم قطاع االمانة العامة بالشركة القابضة لمصر للطٌران
2 وأضافت ممثلة وزارة الصحة خالل مؤتمر صحفى لها الٌوم السبت ،أنها تنصح المواطنٌن الكوٌتٌن بعدم السفر للخارج خالل الفترة المقبلة بسبب انتشار هذا الفٌروس ،موضحة أن ٌوجد إجراءات مشددة تبذلها السلطات المعنٌة بالبالد على كافة منافذ الدخول للبالد من أجل السٌطرة على الفٌروس ،وأنه حتى اآلن لم نسجل أى حالة مصابة قادمة من إٌطالٌا ،ومعظم الحاالت المصابة بالفٌروس من إٌران. وقالت اللجنة الوطنٌة للصحة فً الصٌن الٌوم السبت ،إنها رصدت 427حالة إصابة جدٌدة داخل البالد ٌوم الجمعة مقارنة مع 327حالة فً الٌوم السابق. وٌرتفع بذلك العدد اإلجمالً لإلصابات المؤكدة بالفٌروس فً الصٌن إلى 79251 حالة حتى اآلن ،وبلغ عدد الوفٌات بالفٌروس داخل الصٌن 2835حالة بنهاٌة أمس الجمعة وذلك بزٌادة 47حالة عن الٌوم السابق ،وأعلن إقلٌم هوبً ،موطن الفٌروس، تسجٌل 45حالة وفاة جدٌدة منها 37بمدٌنة ووهان عاصمة اإلقلٌم. أعرب المدٌر العام لمنظمة الصحة العالمٌة الدكتور تادروس أدهانوم ،عن قلقه البالغ من سرعة تزاٌد حاالت اإلصابة بفٌروس كورونا المستجد خارج الصٌن ،الفتا إلى أن عدد الحاالت بلغ 3474حالة فى 54دولة.

China's aviation industry beefs up efforts in fighting epidemic BEIJING, March 1 (Xinhua) -- China's civil aviation sector stepped up support amid the battle against the novel coronavirus outbreak, according to the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). The sector had transported 26,375 tonnes of epidemic prevention and control supplies via 19,344 flights by Saturday, data from CAAC showed. A total of 7,151 tonnes of emergency materials had been sent to Hubei Province via 584 flights, and China's civil airlines had brought more than 1,300 Hubei tourists stranded overseas back to China by Feb. 29, said the CAAC. The CAAC will arrange additional or charter flights to bring back passengers stranded abroad if necessary, according to Zhu Tao, an official with CAAC. Flights between China and Japan and the Republic of Korea have been reduced since the epidemic spread in the two countries, according to Zhu. El Al predicts deeper financial impact from coronavirus Israeli flag-carrier El Al is looking to take cost-saving measures after predicting a deepening financial impact on its operations from the coronavirus outbreak. El Al is forecasting a $50-70 million cut in its revenues for the first four months of this year, January-April. This includes a reduction of $40-50 million for the airline’s first quarter – a substantial increase from the $30 million it had estimated in mid-February. El Al’s first-quarter revenues in 2019 amounted to $429 million, with net losses of $55 million. It says it is taking steps to offset the decline and is estimating a $25-45 effect on its results for January-April 2020, including $15-30 million in the first quarter. The airline says it has been reviewing services to the AsiaPacific region, to match capacity with demand, suspending flights to Beijing and Hong Kong and adjusting operations to Bangkok, following guidelines from the Israeli health ministry. “[We] continue to monitor regularly other developments in the world in connection with the coronavirus and examine the implications for activities,” it adds. 1 Damaged Emirates Airbus A380 Makes First Flight In Half A Year Yesterday, an Emirates A380 that was damaged last August made its first test flight since its accident. The superjumbo fell on its nose last summer during routine maintenance at its operator’s hangar at Dubai International Airport (DXB). Airbus has since repaired the jet ahead of its testing.

2 What initially happened? On August 22nd, the front wheel of the A380 completely collapsed. This left the plane with a torn fuselage, along with structural damage. Reportedly, it slipped off a hydraulic jack, which crushed its nose and gear doors. Thankfully, there were no injuries to anyone when the incident took place. However, there would have been some expensive repairs made ahead of this weekend’s testing. Time to fly Following the repairs, the aircraft, registration A6-EOP took flight from DXB on the afternoon of February 29th. According to AirNav RadarBox, flight EK2552 departed the airport at 14:20. The jet then circled around the coast of the Persian Gulf, peaking at an altitude of 43,000 feet before making a trip inland past Abu Dhabi. Before the initial incident, the last passenger operation that this unit operated was a service from Bangkok to Dubai in August. It originally arrived with Emirates in November 2015, just under four years before it became damaged.

3 More on the Emirates A380 The carrier maintains a considerable amount of A380s within its fleet. According to Planespotters, The Dubai-based airline currently holds 115 of the double-decker widebodies. The aircraft type was introduced in October 2007 with Singapore airlines. In fact, it is the world’s largest passenger jet, deployed for extra capacity on long-haul routes. Since its introduction, 242 of the planes have been built. However, despite high hopes, the aircraft is already being retired by several airlines. Additionally, the parts for the final A380 were transported to Airbus’ final assembly line in Toulouse this week. Altogether, the aircraft’s service has proven shorter than initially expected. Despite it coming to the end of its service for many airlines, Emirates has held the A380 aircraft in high regard. The carrier has seen great success with the jet, using it on high demand routes such as Dubai to London Heathrow. Therefore, the airline will be excited to reintroduce the sidelined unit back into action. 3 Will the Unlimited Pass work? One of the key questions that springs to mind regarding AirAsia’s new travel pass is: will it work? Of course, AirAsia will not want to put any of its customers at risk and by presenting this new offering, the airline makes us rethink just how much air travel should be avoided at this period in time. Whilst AirAsia’s deal will not be right for everyone, it does present an interesting opportunity. It could particularly benefit those who travel between Asia and Australia for business purposes. In terms of leisure travelers, the success of the deal will stand the test of time. Many airlines have reported a reduced demand in sales suggesting a general wariness about non-essential international travel. However, those economical prices could be enough to convince some that a holiday is justified. Is AirAsia incentivizing cheap international flights? Whilst, for now, the world seems to have its attention turned on the coronavirus, environmental fears are still prevalent in the global sphere. AirAsia’s latest Unlimited Pass seems to do nothing positive for the environment in terms of incentivizing cheap international travel. At just $118 USD for a year’s worth of travel, it’s unlikely that passengers owning this pass will look to any other mode of transport than commercial aircraft. 1 Airbus A330neo High-Weight Variant Makes Maiden Flight On February 28th, Airbus had the maiden flight of the highweight version of its Airbus A330-900neo. This variant of the aircraft offers customers greater range and a higher payload weight when compared to the current A330-900neo.
Details of the maiden flight Airbus announced the successful completion of the maiden flight of this high-weight variant. The aircraft took off from Toulouse and spent about five hours inflight according to data from Flightradar24.

While the aircraft is registered as F-WWCE, the plane itself does not have the standard Airbus A330neo livery. Instead, the fuselage is all-white while the tail has the “neo” painting. For reference, here is the standard A330-900neo livery:

This article will be amended as necessary. Details of this A330neo variant Airbus originally offered the A330-900neo with a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of 242 tons. This high-weight variant has an increased maximum take-off weight of 251 tons. With this increase, the range of the aircraft is extended by another 650 nautical miles and the payload capacity of the aircraft increases by six tons.

Aircalin uses the A330-900 on flights to Tokyo while Delta has based them on key transpacific services out of Seattle. Other A330neo operators include Air Mauritius, Azul, Air Sengal, Garuda Indonesia, AirAsia, Citilink, Lion Air, and TAP Air Portugal. In addition, Airbus has modified the landing gear of this aircraft. With these new modifications, the time-beforeoverhaul period has been extended from 10 years to 12 years. 5 Could other airlines order this aircraft? The development and release of this high-weight variant comes at an interesting time. There certainly seems to be demand out there for an aircraft of its size. Airbus recently delivered the last Airbus A330-300 to Aer Lingus. Moreover, several airlines are considering widebody fleet enhancements. Virgin Australia is also examining its widebody fleet. While the A330-900neo might not be the first aircraft on people’s minds, this variant might be the right aircraft moving forward. Here is the range of the aircraft out of Brisbane:
As the A330-900 can seat anywhere between 260-300 passengers in a three-class configuration, this would be less loaded than the current Boeing 777s operating routes to the US. However, for fleet consolidation, the A330-900 would offer better economics on routes to East Asia and Western Australia from points like Sydney or Brisbane. In addition, Emirates is still considering the Airbus A330neo. 1 Korean Air Massively Trims International Route Schedule Korean Air is facing some strong headwinds in the midst of the coronavirus outbreak. As the virus spreads in South Korea, Korean Air is massively trimming its international flights. These suspensions are temporary. However, just exactly when these flights will resume is largely dependent upon governments and health organizations.

2 What routes are affected? Korean Air is suspending or reducing routes as necessary. The full list and specific details can be found on the airline’s website. To the United States, Korean Air is suspending service on KE051/052 to and from Honolulu and KE023/024 to and from San Francisco for most of early March. KE085/086 to and from New York will be suspended from the end of March through April. The cities of Chicago, Boston, Dallas, and Washington will also see reduced service through April. Each of the latter three routes will lose two frequencies per week. The airline’s Tel Aviv service is suspended through April 25th. With Italy becoming a recen virus hotspot, Milan service will also be suspended from March 8th through April 24th. Zagreb will be fully suspended from late March through April. The cities of Barcelona, Madrid, and Vienna will lose one weekly service. Barcelona reductions will start from March 13th, while Madrid and Vienna frequency reductions start in April. Istanbul will lose one flight per week starting next week with a further reduction by two flights per week through April, starting March 30th. Dubai sees three weekly flights cut through most of March, with one weekly flight restored in April. Korean will not operate flights 981 and 982 to Vladivostok through the end of March. 3 On the regional level, it gets fairly messy. Korean Air operates several daily frequencies to a number of cities ranging from Singapore to Cebu to Guam to Jakarta. Passengers booked on those flights should check their flight status. Why is Korean Air making these changes? Around the world, health organizations and governments are taking major precautions to try and contain the spread of the coronavirus. Not too long ago, a Korean Air Boeing 777 was sent back to Seoul from Tel Aviv after officials only allowed a few Israeli citizens to disembark from the aircraft. Amid this and a number of other international travel restrictions, Korean Air is trimming its schedules to minimize operational disruptions. But also, these moves will help Korean Air in a time of significantly reduced travel demand across the globe. Instead of operating empty (or near empty) flights, it makes more sense for Korean Air to trim its schedule and have its aircraft stay on the ground. Overall Passengers should continue to monitor their flight status for changes. Korean Air’s schedule likely will change and adapt to the outbreak as the situation continues to develop. This latest round of cuts is drastic and will severely reduce Korean Air’s network through March and April.
