www.youm7.com وصول 120سائحا برٌطانٌا لألقصر فى أول رحالت مصر للطٌران من مطار هٌثرو أفاد اللواء طٌار هشام عٌسى مدٌر مطار األقصر الدولى بأنه تم وصول أولى رحالت الشارتر المباشر مساء الٌوم األثنٌن من مطار "هٌثرو" بلندن إلى مطار األقصر الدولى ،وهى رحلة مصر للطٌران رقم " " 762وعلى متنها 120سائحا برٌطانٌا فى زٌارة للمناطق األثرٌة والسٌاحٌة بالبرٌن الغربى والشرقى. وكان فى استقبال السائحٌن خبراء وقٌادات رؤساء الشركات السٌاحة بالمحافظة. وأوضح مدٌر مطار األقصر الدولى على أن أول الرحالت قد أقلعت من مطار األقصر الدولى تحت رقم ( ) 761فى الساعة العاشرة من صباح الٌوم وكان على متنها 130سائحا برٌطانٌا إلى مطار هٌثرو بلندن. وشدد هشام عٌسى على استئناف الكثٌر من رحالت "الشارتر" و"المباشر" من المدن العالمٌة تقل على متنها الزائرون من مدن بلدان العالم إلى األقصر ذات السمعة العالمٌه بما تملكه من ثلثى آثار العالم.

انتهت الشركة الوطنٌة مصر للطٌران ،االثنٌن ،من عودة حجاج قطاع غزة من المملكة العربٌة السعودٌة ،بإجمالً 3آالف راكب علً متن 12رحلة جوٌة قادمة من مطار المدٌنة المنورة. وقالت مصادر مالحٌة بالمطار إن المطار استقبل الٌوم االثنٌن آخر رحالت شركة مصر للطٌران والمخصصة لعودة حجاج دولة فلسطٌن بوصول الرحلة رقم 3293والقادمة من المدٌنة المنورة وعلً متنها 292حاجا فلسطٌنٌا. كانت سلطات مطار القاهرة خصصت صالة ( ،)4المخصصة للطائرات الخاصة ،إلنهاء إجراءات وصول الحجاج الفلسطٌنٌٌن بقطاع غزة تمهٌدا لنقلهم إلى معبر رفح البري علً متن عدد من الحافالت البرٌة ،وتم تخصٌص فرق من العالقات العامة ورجال الجوازات والتأمٌن والجمارك والحجر الصحى باستقبال الحجاج والعمل على سرعة إنهاء إجراءات وصولهم الى المطار وخروجهم من الدائرة الجمركٌة.

The aircraft touched down hard on Quito’s runway 18, in good weather, following a service from Madrid on 11 August. Its crew belatedly aborted the landing, executing a go-around before making a second approach. Video footage purportedly capturing the landing shows the nine-year old aircraft (EC-LEU) apparently bouncing after the hard contact before climbing away. Iberia says the aircraft has been returned to Madrid. It flew back from Quito on 27 August. “We don’t know yet when it can go back to operations,” the airline adds. French investigation authority BEA, citing Ecuadorian counterparts, says the aircraft suffered a tyre burst on its central main landing-gear bogie. The A340-600’s centre bogie is fitted with four wheels. BEA says the landing affected tyre 10. After the aircraft parked, it adds, some 75% of the tyre’s tread surface was found to have detached. The inspection also determined that the braking system for the rear wheels of the centre gear was leaking hydraulic fluid.

Pilots’ representatives are recommending that an in-flight broadcast procedure be extended to Ethiopian airspace to enhance safety during industrial action by air traffic controllers. Safety concerns over the region have sparked a furious exchange between Ethiopian regulators and the neighbouring Kenyan air traffic control association. The in-flight broadcast procedure involves keeping a listening watch on a designated frequency, 126.9MHz, and transmitting clear position, altitude and airway updates to other traffic. It also gives advice on operational issues such as altitude changes and collision avoidance. Ten African flight information regions were listed in IATA’s original operational notice for the in-flight broadcast procedure. These FIRs largely surround Ethiopian airspace, and the International Air Line Pilots’ Association – in a 31 August bulletin – says IATA is recommending that the affected region be expanded to include the Addis Ababa FIR until air traffic control “coverage difficulties” have been resolved. As a result of the unplanned air traffic control work stoppage, says the association, aircraft “may no longer receive appropriate air traffic control instructions” from area control centres. There are indications, it adds, that aircraft are entering adjacent Sudanese and Kenyan airspace “in an unco-ordinated manner”. Kenya’s air traffic controllers association insists, in a 30 August document, that “several instances” of separation loss between aircraft crossing the airspace boundary with the Nairobi FIR. These include, it claims, a “serious” conflict incident between a Boeing 767 and a Boeing 737 both operating at 36,000ft, which involved in the on-board collision-avoidance systems issuing resolution advisories.

The association also claims that retired controllers have been brought in to cover during the stoppage, but that they are not capable of handling the traffic and communication situation. Ethiopia’s civil aviation authority has reacted indignantly to the Kenyan document, stating that it “fully and categorically rejects” the “false and baseless” statements, suggesting that Kenyan controllers are simply trying to undermine the Ethiopian authorities and “lend support to an illegal strike”. It insists that the Addis Ababa centre is being manned by an “adequate number of well-trained, highly-capable instructors and professionals” who have the necessary ratings and validations. “Similarly, the approach and aerodrome positions are also manned with professionals possessing all the qualifications,” it adds. “The controllers that have come in for support or assistance following the illegal strike were all assigned with the necessary orientation and on-the-job trainings before they were released solo.” The civil aviation authority accuses the Kenyan association of spreading “outright lies” and insists it has not received “any complaint by any airline” operating within Ethiopian airspace. “All airlines are operating their scheduled and unscheduled flights smoothly, including our national carrier, Ethiopian Airlines, which has the largest operations in Africa,” it says. Some striking controllers have already returned to work, it adds. Ethiopia’s regulators says it is working in “close collaboration” with the Kenyan civil aviation authority on cross-border flight co-ordination, and has warned that, if its Kenyan counterpart does not take “necessary action” against the Kenyan controller association, the Ethiopian civil aviation authority will “take the issue to the concerned international body”.

www.ch-aviation.com Kenya's DAC East Africa adds maiden CASA C-295 DAC East Africa (JX, Nairobi Wilson) has taken delivery of its first Airbus CN-295 following the arrival of 5Y-TMP (msn 167) in East Africa late last month. According to Skyliner Aviation, the turboprop was ferried to Nairobi Wilson from Seville via Malta and Aswan over the course of August 27 and 28. It will shortly be deployed into service for the United Nations Humanitarian Air Service. DAC East Africa also operates one CRJ-200 (stored), one Dash 8-100, one Dash 8-400, de Havilland 5 Buffalos, Cessna (single turboprop) 208B EX Grand Caravans, and Cessna CJ4s on flights for humanitarian and peacekeeping missions.

In May of last year, the Malaysian low-cost carrier specialist signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the China Everbright Group and Henan Government Working Group over the establishment of AirAsia China. Its wholly-owned unit, AirAsia Investment Ltd (AAIL), was then granted a business licence by the local Chinese government for a wholly-owned subsidiary known as AirAsia (Guangzhou) Aviation Service Limited Co. (AAGASL). However, in an update issued via its 2Q18 financial results, AirAsia Group said the MOU with Everbright and Henan Government had now lapsed and would not be extended. Concerning AirAsia Vietnam, AirAsia Group said there had been no further updates on the status of the project which is a joint venture between AirAsia, Gumin Co. Ltd, and Hai Au Aviation's owner, Tran Trong Kien. Under the plan, Hai Au is to be transformed from a specialist seaplane operator into a low-cost carrier

https://www.ch-aviation.com Panama's Copa Airlines adds maiden B737 MAX 9 Copa Airlines (CM, Panamá City Tocumen Int'l) has taken delivery of its first B737 MAX following the handing over and arrival of B737-9 HP-9901CMP (msn 44161) in Panamá City Tocumen Int'l on Friday, August 31. Ahead of its September 18 commercial debut, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows the twinjet has been used to run what are believed to be test flights between Panama City and the town of Balboa. The Panamanian carrier is expecting a total of five MAX 9s to deliver from Boeing (BOE, Chicago O'Hare) this year. It has a total of seventy-one firm-ordered B737 MAX on order from Boeing with the flexibility to convert between the MAX 7, 8, 9 and 10. The aircraft will be delivered between 2018 and 2025. The incoming MAX will be used to renew and replace Copa's existing fleet of fourteen B737-700s and sixtyeight B737-800s.

https://www.ch-aviation.com Nigeria's Dana Air outlines B737 ops due from late 3Q18 Dana Air (9J, Lagos) has announced it will shortly take delivery of a B737-700 on wet-lease from fellow West African operator, ASKY Airlines (KP, Lomé). In a statement, Dana Air Media and Communications Manager, Kingsley Ezenwa, said the Boeing narrowbody would be deployed on "early bird" flights between Lagos and Abuja effective September 10. "The introduction of the 737-700 aircraft is part of our ongoing partnership with ASKY airlines and it will operate two daily flights from Abuja to Lagos at 0702L and 1611L and a return service from Lagos to Abuja at 0855L and 1803L," he said. Last year, Chief Operating Officer Obialor Mbanuzuo told chaviation the Nigerian carrier would take the B737 on a yearlong lease. Mbanuzuo also said the B737-700 was an ideal candidate for renewal given it more or less offers comparable seating capacity to Dana Air's existing McDonnell Douglas fleet. As such, aside from its improved operational parameters as compared to its fleet of one MD-82 and three MD-83s, the B737700 would also allow Dana Air to explore new West African routes within a 3-hour flying radius from its Lagos base.

https://www.ch-aviation.com American Airlines to exit EMB-190s in 2020 American Airlines (AA, Dallas/Fort Worth) will retire its fleet of twenty EMB-190s in 2020, Managing Director of Fleet Planning and Analysis, Ryan Travis, has said. According to an internal company letter seen by Airways Magazine, the Embraer Regional Jets will likely be placed with another carrier. The aircraft currently average almost 11 years of age and are all owned and operated by the carrier itself. In the same letter, Travis also stated that American's remaining fleet of McDonnell Douglas twinjets - now down to two MD-82s and thirty-two MD-83s - “are due to retire next year” i.e. 2019. These aircraft could potentially be replaced with second-hand A319-100s.

According to the lessor, the aircraft are sourced from its Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) order book and are scheduled for delivery in 2019 and 2020. As part of the deal, the Indonesian firm will have the option of acquiring four of the aircraft at delivery. Lion Air (JT, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta) currently operates three A330-300s on Hajj charter flights as well as on ACMI contracts for flynas (XY, Riyadh). Earlier this year, CAPA reported Thai Lion Air (SL, Bangkok Don Mueang) would take delivery four A330-900s in 2019.

https://aaco.org Saudia expands codeshare agreement with Garuda Indonesia Airlines Saudia and Garuda Indonesia airlines have expanded their existing bilateral codeshare agreement. This follows from the existing partnership on flights between KSA and Indonesia operated by SV. The expanded agreement will now include flights sold and operated by both airlines to points within both countries, as well as three destinations in Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Perth).
