أكد شرٌف فتحً وزٌر الطٌران المدنً ،أن الوزارة تدرج مطاري سفنكس والقطامٌة علً قائمة المطارات الدولٌة ،حتً ٌتاح للمطارٌن تقدٌم خدمات المالحة الجوٌة بالمنطقة ،وكذلك وضع جداول تشغٌل رحالت جوٌة لشركة طٌران تعمل بالمطارٌن .
وأضاف فتحً فً تصرٌح صحفً الٌوم اإلثنٌن ،أن هذا اإلجراء ٌحتاج لعدة أسابٌع ،لٌكون المطاران جاهزٌن بتقدٌم كل الخدمات ، وٌظهران أمام كل الطٌارٌن على مستوى العالم ،الفتا إلى أن هناك بعض الشركات التى تقدمت لتنظٌم رحالت من المطارٌن ،إال أن الوزارة سوف تنظر كل الطلبات التً تم تقدٌمها لتبدأ شركات الطٌران العمل بالمطارٌن.

شهد مطار القاهرة الدولى ،تأخر إقالع 5رحالت دولٌة ،عن موعد هم المقرر بجدول التشغٌل ،بسبب ظروف التشغٌل وأعمال الصٌانة. وقالت مصادر مالحٌة بالمطار، إن الرحالت المتأخرة هى رحلتٌن تابعتٌن لخطوط نسما للطٌران رقم 101المتجهة إلى مدٌنة الطائف ،والرحلة رقم 140المتجهة إلى مدٌنة القصٌم بالسعودٌة ،ورحلة خطوط طٌران الخلٌج رقم ٧0المتجهة إلى البح رٌن ،ورحلة خطوط طٌران اإلمارات رقم ٩24المتجهة إلى مدٌنة دبى ،ورحلة الخطوط الكوٌتٌة رقم ٩53٩المتجهة إلى الكوٌت.

مصٌر شرٌف إسماعٌل ووزٌر الطٌران فً الحكومة الجدٌدة ..وسر اإلطاحة بـ«المشاط» مً بدٌر
كشف مصدر مطلع ،أن الرئٌس عبد الفتاح السٌسً سٌبقى على المهندس نظرا العتزاز وتقدٌر الرئٌس له. شرٌف إسماعٌل ،رئٌسا للحكومةً ، وأضاف المصدر« :الرئٌس وشرٌف إسماعٌل على درجة عالٌة من التوافق الفكري وال ٌرٌد الرئٌس إحالة قامة فكرٌة ونشطة للتقاعد بسبب مرضه، سا للحكومة حتى ٌسستفٌد منه البلد». وشرٌف إسماعٌل سٌظل رئٌ ً وتابع المصدر ،أنه من المقرر أن ٌتم تعدٌل وزاري محدود بعد تكلٌف إسماعٌل ً تعدٌال السٌاحة ،اآلثار، برئاسة الحكومة ،ومن ضمن الوزارات التً ستشهد النقل. وقال المصدر ،إن تكلٌف رانٌا المشاط ،بحقٌبة وزارة السٌاحة كان ظل ًما لها؛ نظرا ألن لها خبرة اقتصادٌة وٌمكن االستفادة منها فً عدة حقائب وزارٌة ً أخرى ،ولٌست حقٌبة وزارة السٌاحة التً تحتاج شخصٌة لها خبرة بهذا القطاع. وأكد المصدر ،أنه من ضمن المرشحٌن لحقٌبة وزارة السٌاحة الدكتورة عادلة رجب ،نائب وزٌرة السٌاحة ،وتعمل حال ًٌا األجهزة الرقابٌة لتجهٌز ملفها؛ إلرفاقه فً قائمة المرشحٌن. وأضاف المصدر ،أنه سٌتم اإلبقاء على شرٌف فتحً ،وزٌرا للطٌران لكفاءته المشهود بها و«رضا» القٌادة السٌاسٌة على أدائه ،بجانب دوره البارز فى ملف روسٌا ،وإعادة الطٌران الجوى بٌن روسٌا والقاهرة ،ودبلوماسٌته المشهود بها فً حل األزمات.

أعادت الشركة المصرٌة للمطارات التابعة للقابضة للمطارات طرح إنشاء مطار رأس سدر خالل األسبوع الماضى أمام المستثمرٌن ،وفقا للواء محمد سالم ــ رئٌس الشركة. وقال سالم لـ (مال وأعمال ــ الشروق) إن التكلفة االستثمارٌة للمطار تتخطى ملٌار جنٌه وسٌتم تموٌل إنشائه من خالل القطاع الخاص بنظام حق االنتفاع. ولفت إلى أن الهدف منه خدمة الحركة السٌاحٌة الوافدة إلى المنطقة خالل السنوات المقبلة ألن المنطقة واعدة .وذكر أن إنشاء مطار جدٌد فى المنطقة سٌساهم فى خلق تنمٌة بداخل منطقة رأس سدر خالل السنوات المقبلة. وأكد أن مطار مرسى علم تم إنشاؤه من خالل مجموعة الخرافى الكوٌتٌة وتقوم بتشغٌله أٌضا حالٌا مما ساهم فى تعزٌز الحركة السٌاحٌة فى تلك المنطقة. وجرى طرح مزاٌدة إلنشاء مطار رأس سدر فى فترة سابقة ،إال أن المصرٌة للمطارات لم تتلق عروضا جادة إلنشائه.

الطٌران» تنتظر عروض الشركات الفنٌة والمالٌة إلنشاء مبنى جدٌد بمطار برج العرب كتب ــ ٌوسف مجدى:
تستعد وزارة الطٌران لتلقى العروض الفنٌة والمالٌة من الشركات الراغبة فى المنافسة على تنفٌذ المبنى الجدٌد بمطار برج العرب ،وفقا لتصرٌحات وزٌر الطٌران شرٌف فتحى. وقال فتحى إن مدة تنفٌذ المبنى الجدٌد تستغرق 4سنوات ،وسٌتم تموٌل إنشائه بقرض من هٌئة الجاٌكا الٌابانى .وذكر أن وزارته تستهدف زٌادة قدرة مطار برج العرب بهدف التمكن من استقبال أعداد أكبر من الركاب. وتشمل أعمال التطوٌر إنشاء المبنى الجدٌد الصدٌق للبٌئة بمساحة حوالى 34.100 ألف متر مسطح لٌسع 4مالٌٌن راكب سنوٌا لتصل الطاقة االستٌعابٌة اإلجمالٌة للمطار إلى 6مالٌٌن راكب سنوٌا ،وهو حجم الحركة المتوقعة للمطار فى ،2030 كما تشمل أعمال التطوٌر إنشاء موقف للطائرات جدٌد ٌسع 20طائرة متوسطة الحجم بمساحة إجمالٌة 100ألف متر وطرق تصل بٌن الموقف الحالى والموقف الجدٌد. ولفت فتحى إلى أن وزارته تقترب من انتهاء توسعة مطار شرم الشٌخ بهدف التمكن من استٌعاب أى زٌادة متوقعة فى حركة النقل بداخل المطار. وحول مشروع األٌربورت سٌتى ،لفت إلى وزارة الطٌران تدرس بدائل تنفٌذ مشروع أٌربورت سٌتً حالٌا بدون ٌحدد مالمح تلك البدائل .وٌقع مشروع األٌربورت سٌتى على مساحة 10مالٌٌن متر وٌستهدف جذب 80ملٌار جنٌه استثمارات. وبشأن عودة رحالت الطٌران العارض مع روسٌا ،أكد أنه لم ٌتم تحدٌد موعد نهائى بشأن التفاوض مع الجانب الروسى حول ذلك الملف.

IATA pushing to resolve blocked airline funds issue The total amount of funds blocked by governments to airlines fell by 7% in 2017, but IATA says that the $4.9 billion amount locked away is still too high. Speaking during an address at the IATA annual general meeting in Sydney, chief executive and director general Alexandre de Juniac noted that $600 million of airline funds that had been blocked in Nigeria have been cleared, while in Angola there was was “$120 million of progress from a peak of over $500 million”. However long-standing issues in Venezuela remain, with carriers blocked from repatriating $3.8 billion. “We’re not giving up. But without a major shift in Venezuela’s political situation it is difficult to see this resolving in the short-term,” says de Juniac. That aside, IATA says that $386 million remains blocked in Angola, $170 million in Sudan, $95 million in Bangladesh and $76 million in Zimbabwe. De Juniac adds that the movement in Nigeria and Angola is encouraging, and the IATA hopes that “other states will also move quickly to address blocked funds.” He also urges carriers to subscribe to IATA’s monthly repatriation report, which tracks key risk indicators, in an effort to prevent further fund blocking.

www.ch-aviation.com Fiji Airways signs up for Oneworld Connect Fiji Airways (FJ, Nadi) has become the first carrier to sign up for the recently unveiled OneworldConnect initiative unveiled during the ongoing IATA 2018 AGM in Sydney, Australia. According to the global alliance, Oneworld Connect will provide select alliance benefits to frequent flyers from any oneworld member airline travelling on their flights, with a more extensive range of benefits offered with their oneworld sponsors. Customers with Emerald, Sapphire or Ruby status in any oneworld member airline’s frequent flyer programme will be able to use priority check-in desks, where available. All Oneworld Connect partners will make their networks available via Global Explorer, the round-the-world fare offered by all oneworld members and select other airlines. Fiji Airways already does so. All oneworld connect partners will also be required to maintain IATA IOSA safety certification. “Fiji Airways is thrilled and honoured to be the first oneworld connect partner globally," Fiji Airways CEO Andre Viljoen said in a statement. "We are delighted to link Fiji, and the South Pacific to the world’s premier airline alliance and deepening our relationships in particular with Qantas, American Airlines, British Airways (BA, London Heathrow), and Cathay Pacific. This important step for our airline enables us to offer more services and benefits to our own customers along with the others in the oneworld family, to achieve a greater presence for our airline internationally and to build on the in-bound tourism that is so vital to our home nation and our region.” Oneworld will announce in due course when Fiji Airways will start offering oneworld connect services and benefits. www.ch-aviation.com Air Malta eyes sub-Saharan Africa market Air Malta (KM, Malta) is looking to expand into sub-Saharan Africa as it seeks new opportunities outside an increasingly cutthroat European market. Following the collapse of a takeover bid by Alitalia last year, the stateowned carrier has restructured its operations to improve its profitability and thus render itself more attractive to would-be investors. At present, it operates one A319-100 and nine A320-200s (one of which each is wetleased from GetJet Airlines and Malta MedAir) with one A320neo due later this summer. It currently serves destinations spanning 18 countries across Western, Central, and Eastern Europe, Russia, Israel, and the United Kingdom. Its only African destinations at present include Tunis and Casablanca Int'l. However, according to Chief Commercial Officer Paul Spies, Air Malta has now set its sights on developing Malta into an intercontinental transit hub between Africa and Europe. "I think that it is a public secret that we are looking at how we can reconnect Africa and sub-Saharan Africa with Malta and really create a hub in Malta," he told TVM in an interview last week. "This is one of the strategies we are working on and the other one is, really using the islands in the Mediterranean to connect Malta and Europe, and if you look at the success of what we are doing between Malta, Catania, and Sardinia and London Southend, is a very good example of it, how we are developing the airline, not only to grow in Malta but beyond." Air Malta is, however, a late entrant into this market as Royal Air Maroc, Air Algérie, and Tunisair have already set in motion their respective plans to tap their own geographical positionings to develop each of Casablanca Int'l, Algiers, and Tunis into Europe/Africa transit points. All three operators have substantial West and Central African presences although RAM has an edge given its incoming fleet of B7879s. www.ch-aviation.com China's HNA Group to order 100 ARJ21s, 200 C919s HNA Group has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with COMAC (Shanghai Pudong) wherein the former will gradually introduce and operate 100 ARJ21700s and 200 C919s across its various subsidiaries. During a press conference in Shanghai on Saturday, June 2, the two parties agreed to work together to enhance coverage of China's domestic market through the establishment of branch companies and bases, improve the country's regional aviation business model, and build a regional aviation network that covers the whole of China. HNA Group will also help COMAC gain deeper penetration of the emerging African market through its Africa World Airlines (AW, Accra) subsidiary in Ghana, part of a larger goal of boosting their respective presences in overseas markets, particularly those covered by the “Belt and Road” initiative. Finally, COMAC and HNA Group will also explore indepth cooperation in the fields of aircraft maintenance, aircraft spares support and supplies, the training of specialized personnel, aircraft leasing, and the creation of a domestic aircraft service security system. Philippine Airlines takes delivery of first A321neo
Philippine Airlines (PR, Manila Ninoy Aquino Int'l) has taken delivery of its first A321neo with RP-C9930 (msn 8117) having been positioned to Manila Ninoy Aquino Int'l from Hamburg Finkenwerdervia Abu Dhabi Int'l on June 1. The Filipino carrier has a further twenty of the Pratt & Whitney PW1000G-powered jets on order from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) with deliveries to run through to 2024. Deliveries for the type were to have begun in November 2017 only to slip to January 2018 and then to June 2018. The delays have been attributed to the ongoing problems affecting Pratt & Whitney's PW1000 GTF motors. The A321neo will be deployed on PAL flights from Manila Ninoy Aquino Int'l to Brisbane Int'l (beginning July), as well as Sapporo Chitose (Japan), Sydney Kingsford Smith (Australia), Delhi Int'l and Mumbai Int'l in India over the coming months. www.ch-aviation.com Rolls-Royce warns of a peak in B787s groundings in late 2Q18 Rolls-Royce has warned that the number of B787-8s and -9s grounded for the required checks of Trent 1000 Package C engines may grow from the current around thirty-five to fifty in the first week of June, ahead of the June 9 deadline for inspections mandated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). "We fully recognize the unacceptable levels of disruption our customers are facing. While we expect the number of aircraft affected to rise in the short term as the deadline for the completion of initial inspections approaches, we are confident that we have the right building blocks in place to tackle the additional workload," President (Civil Aerospace) Chris Cholerton has said. It is recalled that in March, Rolls-Royce, in conjunction with the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), issued an Airworthiness Directive (AD) requiring operators of Package C Trent 1000 powerplants to carry out earlier than usual maintenance checks on a specific part of the engine compressor. This check was already required prior to the engine reaching a threshold of 2,000 cycles, although the EASA later reduced that timeframe to just 300 cycles. In addition, in early May the FAA issued another directive effectively limiting affected B787s' ETOPS capabilities, forcing the operators to remain within a 60-minute diversion range at all times. Operators of the affected Trent 1000 engine variants (the -A2, -AE2, -C2, -CE2, -D2, -E2, -G2, -H2, -J2, -K2, and -L2) include British Airways, Thai Airways International, Air Europa, Avianca, Ethiopian Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, Norwegian, Norwegian UK, Scoot, Air New Zealand, Royal Brunei Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, and LATAM Airlines. Most of these airlines have at times reduced their B787operated schedule to allow for the increased downtime, with some carriers wet-leasing capacity to cover for the grounded B787s.

Accor confirms interest in Air France-KLM AccorHotels has said it is looking again at buying a stake in Air France-KLM. French newspaper Les Echos says the French government is considering selling its 14.3% stake in the troubled airline and had 'received interest' from Accor. The hotel company said it had held discussions over the past few years with the airline. It added: "AccorHotels confirms having resumed its reflections on the matter, being at a very early stage of asessing the feasibility and potential terms and conditions which wll be discussed with Air France-KLM in due time. "There is no certainty that these initiatives will lead to any agreement nor any form of implementation." According to Reuters, Les Echos cited unnamed sources who said the government would look seriously at a sale, but had not made a firm decision on what to do with its shares.
