حج سٌاحً | 2018انطالق أولى رحالت طٌران الحج السٌاحً .. الٌوم كتب :مً سٌد قال مجدي شلبً رئٌس اللجنة العلٌا للحج والعمرة ،ورئٌس قطاع الشركات بوزارة السٌاحة ،إن انطالق أولى رحالت طٌران الحج السٌاحً الٌوم األحد 5أغسطس الجاري ،و تبدأ أولى رحالت العودة 28أغسطس الجاري. وأوضح شلبً ،أن عدد حجاج الرحالت البرٌة ٌبلغ 12ألف حاج ،تقلهم ما ٌقرب من 300مركبة سٌاحٌة ،مؤكدا أنه تم االنتهاء من عمل فحص المركبات المقلة للحجٌج وفقا لضوابط الحج البري لهذا العام ،وذلك بمعرفة لجنة من مهندسً الوزارة ومهندسً مركز صٌانة السٌارات التابع لوزارة الداخلٌة ،إلجراء الفحص السٌاحً والفنً. وأكد رئٌس اللجنة العلٌا للحج والعمرة ،أنه تم االنتهاء من استخراج تأشٌرات سائقً المركبات السٌاحٌة ،فضال عن فحص المركبات بكل من مدٌنة "شرم الشٌخ ،والغردقة، واألقصر ،وأسوان ،واإلسكندرٌة" ،باإلضافة إلى مركز صٌانة السٌارات بالقاهرة ،وتم اعتماد 280حافلة سٌاحٌة حتى اآلن ،وجارى االنتهاء من 20أخرى لنقل حجاج الرحالت البرٌة. ٌذكر أن ضوابط الحج البري لهذا العام ،اشترطت أال ٌقل مودٌل المركبة السٌاحٌة عن ،2009وأن ٌكون مزودا بجهاز GPSوجهاز محدد السرعة ،باإلضافة إلى التأكد من صالحٌة السٌارة سٌاحٌا وفنٌا ،وكذا مستلزمات الوقاٌة والسالمة. وتشترط الضوابط أن ٌقود المركبة سائقٌن أحدهما أساسً واآلخر احتٌاطً ،وأن ٌكونا مسجلٌن بالوزارة وحاصلٌن على الدورة التدرٌبٌة العملٌة والنظرٌة الخاصة بالسائقٌن بالمركز المصري للقٌادة اآلمنة ،وتم اجتٌازهم الكشف الطبً للتأكد من عدم وجود أي مواد مخدرة ،وسالمتهم الصحٌة لقٌادة المركبة.

مصر للطٌران تسٌر 19رحلة لنقل أكثر من 4آالف حاج لألراضى المقدسة كتب محمد طنطاوى أكد مصدر مسئول بالشركة الوطنٌة مصر للطٌران ،إنه من المقرر أن تسٌر الشركة الوطنٌة مصر للطٌران ،الٌوم اإلثنٌن 19 ،رحلة جوٌة لنقل 4221حاجا لألراضى المقدسة الداء فرٌضة الحج. وأضاف المصدر ،إنه من المقرر تسٌٌر 6رحالت جوٌة إلى المدٌنة المنورة لنقل 1400حاج ،و 13رحلة إلى جدة لنقل 3800حاج ،والذٌن ٌضمون حجاج قرعة القاهرة والبحر األحمر والدقهلٌة وبعثات الداخلٌة ،باإلضافة إلى رحالت عمل وإقامة، وحجاج فلسطٌن وترانزٌت مٌالنو. وكانت شركة مصر للطٌران ،سٌرت األحد 18رحلة جوٌة ،عبر الصالة الموسمٌة بمطار القاهرة ،لنقل 3آالف و 992حاجا لألراضً السعودٌة ألداء مناسك الحج ،منها 10رحالت جوٌة إلى مطار جدة الدولً ،و 8رحالت إلى مطار المدٌنة المنورة ،وذلك لنقل حجاج قرعة الدقهلٌة وحجاج ترانزٌت دولة مالً وفلسطٌن وتضامن محافظة الشرقٌة ،باإلضافة إلى رحالت العمل واإلقامة.

مصر للطٌران 20 :رحلة جوٌة لحجاج مالً و 12لفلسطٌن كتب :طه عبٌد أعلنت شركة مصر للطٌران ،تسٌٌر 12رحلة جوٌة من مطار القاهرة الدولً ،إلى حاجا من حجاج دولة فلسطٌن بواقع 3رحالت ٌوم ًٌا حتى نهاٌة جدة ،لسفر ً 3321 مرحلة سفر الحجاج فً 8أغسطس الجاري ،وتبدأ مرحلة العودة فً 30أغسطس وتنتهً فً 2سبتمبر المقبل. وحسب بٌان ،األحد ،سٌر الشركة رحالت خاصة لخدمة حجاج باماكو بمالً ،بإجمالً 20رحلة جوٌة لنقل ً 5320 حاجا من دولة مالً ،أقلعت أولى هذه الرحالت فً 26 ٌولٌو الماضً ومن المقرر أن تنتهً فً 11أغسطس الجاري ،ومن المقرر أن تبدأ مرحلة العودة فً 27أغسطس لتنتهً آخر هذه الرحالت فً 8سبتمبر المقبل

وزٌر الطٌران ٌوجه بتقدٌم كافة الخدمات الالزمة ورعاٌة كبار السن من حجاج غزة كتب :أحمد مصطفى -محمد طنطاوى وجه الفرٌق ٌونس المصري وزٌر الطٌران المدنى المسئولٌن بمطار القاهرة الدولى، بتوفٌر وتقدٌم كافة الخدمات لحجاج قطاع غزة القادمٌن من معبر رفح ،تنفٌذا لتوجٌهات الرئٌس عبد الفتاح السٌسى بالعمل على سرعة إنهاء اإلجراءات وحسن ضٌافة واستقبال الحجاج الفلسطٌنٌٌن. وشدد المصرى ،على ضرورة تواجد المنسقٌن لشركات الطٌران وتشكٌل فرق من العالقات العامة داخل الصاالت لتوجٌه الحجاج وتقدٌم كافة الخدمات لهم ،باإلضافة إلى توافر الخدمات الصحٌة وتقدٌمها فورا للحجاج الفلسطٌنٌٌن داخل صاالت السفر. وأكد وزٌر الطٌران على المسئولٌن بضرورة تقدٌم الرعاٌة الالزمة خاصة لكبار السن واالحتٌاجات الخاصة والسٌدات من الحجاج الفلسطٌنٌٌن ،وضرورة توافر المقاعد المتحركة وتوجٌه الحاالت الخاصة إلى األماكن المخصصة لهم لسرعة إنهاء اإلجراءات. ومن المقرر أن ٌغادر خالل األربعة أٌام القادمة 3300حاج بواقع 3رحالت ٌومٌا، ومن المنتظر أن ٌغادر الٌوم 830حاجا بعد وصولهم من رفح على متن 3طائرات تابعة للشركة الوطنٌة مصر للطٌران.

أول صورة لطائرة "مصر للطٌران" المحولة من ركاب لشحن بضائع كتب :أٌمن حمزة حصلت "الوطن" على صور ألحدث طائرة تسلمتها الشركة الوطنٌة مصر للطٌران للشحن الجوي ،أمس السبت بعد تحوٌلها من طائرة ركاب إلى طائرة شحن بضائع . وكانت الشركة قد أكدت خالل بٌان لها أمس أن الطائرة من طراز اإلٌرباص A330- 200P2Fبعد تحوٌلها من طائرة ركاب إلى طائرة شحن بضائع تسع لحموله 60 طن وذلك من إجمالً ثالث طائرات لمصر للطٌران من نفس الطراز تم التعاقد على تحوٌلهم من طائرات ركاب لطائرات شحن جوي بالتعاون مع شركة إٌرباص العالمٌة المصنعة للطائرات وشركة EFWالعالمٌة المتخصصة فً هذا المجال ،وذلك فً إطار خطة الشركة الوطنٌة مصرللطٌران لتحدٌث أسطولها الجوي. وكان الطٌار أحمد عادل رئٌس الشركة الوطنٌة مصر للطٌران قد أعلن أن الطائرة أجرت بعض الرحالت التجرٌبٌة بنجاح ،وحصلت على اعتماد وكالة سالمة الطٌران األوروبٌة EASAوكذلك اعتماد سلطة الطٌران المدنً المصري ECAAواعتماد إدارة الطٌران األمرٌكً FAAلتنضم أسطول مصر للطٌران للشحن الجوي مما ٌساهم فً زٌادة حركة نقل الصادرات المصرٌة جوا إلً جمٌع نقاط شبكة مصر للطٌران للشحن الجوي حول العالم. وٌأتً التطوٌر فً أسطول الشحن الجوي مواكبا لتطوٌر أسطول طائرات ركاب بالتعاقد على صفقات جدٌدة لإلرتقاء بالخدمات المقدمة للعمالء وكان وفدا من مصرللطٌران برئاسة الطٌار باسم جوهر رئٌس شركة مصر للطٌران للشحن الجوي قد سافر إلى مدٌنة درٌزذن بألمانٌا الستالم الطائرة وعمل المراجعات علٌها. وقد وصلت الطائرة مطار القاهرة فً الساعة الثالثة ظهر الٌوم لتدخل هناجر الصٌانة لطالئها بشعار مصر للطٌران ،ومن المقرر استالم الطائرة الثانٌة بعد تحوٌلها إلى طائرة شحن فً شهر نوفمبر القادم ،وسٌتم استالم الطائرة الثالثة فً ٌونٌو ،2019 وذلك ضمن استراتٌجٌة الشركة لتجدٌد أسطولها بما ٌخدم نشاطها وتوسعاتها فً وجهاتها المختلفة.

تعلٌق جدٌد من «مٌدو» عن أزمته مع «مصر للطٌران» أعلق حمد حسام ،مٌدو ،نجم النادي الزمالك ومنتخب مصر سابقا مرة أخرى على أزمته مع شركة مصر للطٌران. وكتب «مٌدو» فً حسابه على «توٌتر»« :تعامل مصر للطٌران مع الموقف أكبر دلٌل على أنها شركة غٌر محترفة ،.أصدروا بٌان بدون حتى أن ٌتحدثوا معً صاحب الشكوى المقدمة الٌهم!! سأتجنب دائما السفر على مصر للطٌران». وكان «مٌدو» ،أبدى استٌاءه من مستوى بعض الموظفٌن العاملٌن بشركة مصر للطٌران ،قائال« :لألسف ال ٌستحقوا أن ٌمثلوا شركتنا الوطنٌة». وقدم «مٌدو» محضر داخلً فً موظفة عاملة بالشركة الوطنٌة ،وقال «كٌف ٌحث المسؤولٌن المواطنٌن على السٌاحة الداخلٌة والسفر من خالل شركتنا الوطنٌة وال ٌدربوا الموظفٌن على مبادئ التعامل مع المسافرٌن!! والتعامل معهم بمبدأ كٌد النسا!! ،لألسف عمرنا ما هنتقدم فً أي شًء وهتفضل الناس تتطور من حوالٌنا وإحنا محلك سر». وأضاف« :هذه صورة من المحضر الداخلى ضد الموظفة بمصر للطٌران ،لألسف ال ٌستحقوا أن ٌمثلوا شركتنا الوطنٌة» ،وجاء فً نص المحضر الذي قدمه «مٌدو»، «السادة المسئولٌن بشركة مصر للطٌران ،تحٌة طٌبة وبعد ،عند وصولى لكاونتر إجراءات السفر فوجئت بالموظفة باكٌنام ،العاملة بكاونتر رجال األعمال ،تعامل جمٌع الركاب معاملة سٌئة جدا ،ودخلت فً مناقشة شدٌدة معها ولألسف ،تعمدت عدم إلحاق حقٌبتً بالرحلة التً كنت مسافر علٌها ،وبناء علٌه تخلفت الحقٌبة عن الرحلة ،وقمت بإجراء محضر داخلى ٌثبت ذلك ،أتمنى من سٌادتكم إتخاذ اإلجراءات الالزمة ضد الموظفة» .وردّ ت شركة مصر للطٌران ،على الشكوى التً تقدم بها أحمد حسام مٌدو ،مدرب الزمالك السابق ،والتً انتقد فٌها سوء معاملة موظفة بالشركة خالل رحلته إلى الغردقة.

وقالت الشركة الٌوم السبت ،إن «مٌدو تعامل مع العاملٌن أثناء سفره إلى الغردقة بأسلوب ال ٌلٌق بالصورة الحضارٌة لمكانته الرٌاضٌة كرمز رٌاضً ،ودخل فً مشادة مع موظفة الشركة على رحلة رقم MS459المتجهة إلى الغردقة لحمله حقٌبة كبٌرة ال ٌنطبق علٌها مواصفات حقٌبة الٌد () ،Hand bagوال ٌوجد مكان لتخزٌنها فً كابٌنة الطائرة مما ٌخالف تعلٌمات األمان والسالمة للركاب والطائرة». وأوضحت «مصر للطٌران» فً ردها أن «مٌدو» طلب اصطحاب الحقٌبة معه داخل كابٌنة الطائرة مما ٌخالف التعلٌمات المنصوص علٌها بدلٌل عمل اإلدارات العامة للمحطات ،وطلبت منه موظفة الكاونتر شحن الحقٌبة بمخزن الطائرة ،ولكنه رفض ً ألفاظا غٌر الئقة لها وللعاملٌن بالشركة. هذا اإلجراء ،ووجه وأضافت الشركة« :مٌدو ترك الحقٌبة وتم تسلٌمه رقمها بعد تسجٌلها وإرسالها له، ووصلت الحقٌبة فً الرحلة التالٌة إلى مطار الغردفة نتٌجة تأخره والجدال حول شحنها فً المكان المخصص فً بطن الطائرة التً كان مسافر علٌها».

«الطٌران» تدرس إنشاء مطار فى العاصمة اإلدارٌة وزٌادة أسطول «مصر للطٌران» كتب ٌ :وسف مجدى تعكف وزارة الطٌران على تطوٌر عدد من المطارات أبرزها مطارا شرم الشٌخ والغردقة ،حسب وزٌر الطٌران الفرٌق ٌونس المصرى ،مشٌرا إلى تلقى مصر للطٌران عروضا من شركات عالمٌة بشأن شراء طائرات جدٌدة لمصر للطٌران ٌدعم اسطولها. «سٌتم مضاعفه أسطول مصر للطٌران الحالى بهدف زٌادة شبكة أسطول مصر للطٌران» ــ تبعا لوزٌر الطٌران. وقال الوزٌر إن وزارة الطٌران تدرس إنشاء مطار جدٌد فى جنوب شرق العاصمة االدارٌة الجدٌدة ٌستوعب 50ملٌون راكب سنوٌا .وٌستهدف المطار الجدٌد خدمة منطقة قناة السوٌس وربطها بالعاصمة اإلدارٌة الجدٌدة. وذكر أنه جار فتح خط جدٌد لمصر للطٌران ٌربط بٌن مطارى هونج كونج الصٌن مع مطار القاهرة ،ومن المقرر ان ٌتم تشغٌل تلك الرحالت خالل الشهر المقبل بواقع رحلتٌن أسبوعٌا. بشأن خطة ترشٌد النفقات ..أكد أن وزارة الطٌران نجحت فى ترشٌد نفقات بواقع 4 ملٌارات جنٌه خالل الشهر الماضى من خالل ضغط النفقات.

انطالق 32رحلة داخلٌة للمدن السٌاحٌة وعلى متنها 2096راكبا كتب :محمد طنطاوى شهد مطار القاهرة الدولى خالل الـ 24ساعة الماضٌة انطالق 25رحلة داخلٌة تابعة للشركة الوطنٌة مصر للطٌران ،متجهة إلى المدن السٌاحٌة المصرٌة لالستفادة من العروض التى تقدمها مصر للطٌران للسفر على متن رحالتها فى إطار خطتها لتنشٌط السٌاحة الداخلٌة ،كما سٌرت بعض الشركات الخاصة 7 رحالت أخرى إلى مدٌنتً شرم الشٌخ والغردقة. وشهد المطار تسٌٌر شركة مصر للطٌران 10رحالت إلى مدٌنة الغردقة و9 رحالت إلى مدٌنة شرم الشٌخ ورحلتٌن إلى كال من األقصر وأسوان ،باإلضافة إلى تسٌٌر رحلة أخرى إلى كل من مدٌنة مرسى علم وبرج العرب لتقل 1266سائحا. كما أقلعت من مطار القاهرة الدولى أٌضا 7رحالت تابعة الثنتٌن من الشركات الخاصة وتوجهت مباشرة إلى مدٌنتى شرم الشٌخ والغردقة وكان على متنهم 830 سائحا ،وشهدت معظم الرحالت التى انطلقت انتظا ًما فى مواعٌد اإلقالع حسب جدول التشغٌل المقرر. وقامت سلطات المطار بالتنسٌق مع شركة مصر للطٌران بتخصٌص فرق من العالقات العامة تابعة لشركتى المٌناء ومصر للطٌران داخل الصاالت لتسهٌل عملٌة تسفٌر السائحٌن وفقا لرحالتهم.

الكوٌت :ملتزمون باإلجراءات المعتمدة دولٌا لتشغٌل شركات الطٌران العاملة بالمطار أكدت اإلدارة العامة للطٌران المدنى الكوٌتى الٌوم األحد ،التزامها الدائم بتطبٌق اإلجراءات المعتمدة دولٌا ،التى تحافظ على تشغٌل شركات الطٌران العاملة فى مطار الكوٌت الدولى لرحالتها الجوٌة. وذكرت اإلدارة -فى بٌان الٌوم -أنها ملتزمة كذلك بالمعاٌٌر الدولٌة للسالمة واألمن ،والتى من شأنها أن تضمن وتحفظ حقوق المسافرٌن. وشددت اإلدارة العامة للطٌران المدنى على التزامها بتطبٌق اإلجراءات الجزائٌة تجاه أى شركة طٌران مخالفة؛ وذلك وفق القوانٌن والتشرٌعات المعتمدة ذات الصلة.

IATA: Passenger Growth, Economic Boost Incentives for Investing in Aviation The International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the African Development Bank (AfDB) have projected that Africa would be a market of 350 million airline passengers by 2035. This prediction, according to the association was an incentive for investors to go into commercial airline business. The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) had disclosed that in 2017, many entrepreneurs had indicated interest in floating airlines and that they were in the process of getting Air Operator Certificate (AOC), which follows five critical stages Another incentive, THISDAY gathered was the growing middle class and the optimism in the long-term growth of Nigeria‟s economy. A total of 32 airlines made up of scheduled and nonscheduled operators are currently listed as holding AOC and were on the register of the NCAA as of January 10, 2017, and till date. But airlines on scheduled passenger service have currently depleted in response to the economic hard times, leaving about eight operating airlines. But the NCAA said there are 26 prospective investors in its books who had applied for AOC during this same period and are in the process of securing operating licence.

Although there is high prospect for expanded growth in air transport in Nigeria and in Africa with the introduction of Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM), which is expected to encourage and boost trade and business in the continent. In fact, West and Central Africa are projected as strong trade market in the region as they host the fastest growing economy in Africa. “There is a growing middle class, so there is a propensity for disposable income. We do not have airline market that is saturated. When people start the airline business, they only focus on the triangle routes. With right pricing, equipment, timing and route analysis, they are able to develop other routes,” an industry expert and Chief Executive Officer, Aglo Limited, an aviation support service, TayoOjuri said. Ojuri explained that ten years ago, operators only concentrated on Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt, but now airlines are plying more routes, adding that there is also a need to develop secondary routes like Benin.

1 https://businesstech.co.za New Joburg school launches for pupils with a ‘passion for aviation’ Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga officially launched the Rhodesfield Engineering School of Specialisation in Ekurhuleni on Tuesday (31 July). The school, which is open to pupils with a „passion for aviation‟, is aimed at combating what the Airlines Association of Southern Africa (AASA) has warned will be a „calamitous future‟ due to the massive skills shortage in the country. The AASA said it needs around 60,000 new pilots, technicians and engineers, while globally some 480,000 additional technicians will be needed by 2026 to maintain the growing aircraft fleet. It added that 350,000 pilots will also be needed to fly them. “Success in the school subjects of languages, mathematics and science, forms the basis for participation and success in technical subjects in post-school education and training institutions as well as the workplace,” said Motshekga. “Presently, each year around 140,000 grade 12 students complete the matriculation examination with a bachelor‟s pass, and of these only around 50,000 students pass mathematics with a score higher than 50%,” she said. “But with only a handful of students making the cut for access to university and science based Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programmes, the need for such schools, is even more urgent.”

The Schools of Specialisation are part of the Gauteng Education Department‟s Reorganisation of Schools Programme, which takes its lead from the National Development Plan (NDP). According to the NDP, for the country to stop poverty, reduce inequality and ensure that all citizens have better working and living conditions by 2030, South Africa needs to produce over 30,000 qualified artisans a year to meet the labour demand. “The SoS will focus on maths, science, engineering, commerce, entrepreneurship, sports, arts and culture. This is in line with the NDP injunction that we must meet a target of 450 000 learners being eligible for a Bachelors programme with Maths and Science every year till 2030,” said Motshekga. She added that according to the expat and international mobility group Xpatweb – which recently published the results of its critical skills survey – engineers, ICT specialists and specialised technical skills are the „most needed‟ skills. “We hope that by honing skills in these areas, it will be able to transform schools in Gauteng and help grow the skills base needed for economic growth in the country at large. I am certain that this ground-breaking initiative will grow the skills base of our learners beyond Gauteng,” said Motshekga

Former Etihad Aviation VP Vijay Poonoosamy now Director at Q1 in Singapore Vijay went back to his home country Mauritius. This happened in the midst of a corporate shakeup. Vijay was part of the inner team with former Etihad CEO James Hogan, who also had to leave Etihad. This was all in response to major losses and problems that are still ongoing and are related to Etihad‟s involvement and investments in Air Berlin, Alitalia, and Air Seychelles. Surprisingly the former VP for Etihad Aviation Group just moved to Singapore to join the QI Group as Director International and Public Affairs. He moved from Mauritius to Singapore with his family. In an email, he stated: Thirteen great years with the Etihad Aviation Group in Abu Dhabi I have accepting-a standing offer to join the QI Group as Director International and Public Affairs. My family and I have just moved to Singapore. I remain the President of the Montreal-based Hermes Air Transport Organization, whose members are recognized global aviation leaders, and a member of the Advisory Board of the World Tourism Forum Lucerne” said Vijay Poonoosamy in a note to friends. Vijay Poonoosamy, a national of Mauritius, is a barrister (Middle Temple) with a law degree from the University of Nottingham, a Masters degree in International Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science, a Post Graduate Diploma in Air & Space Law from the London Institute of World Affairs and a Certificate in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors in New Zealand. Vijay was an Aviation Lawyer in London, the Managing Director of Air Mauritius, the Executive Chairman of Airports of Mauritius and the Vice President International Affairs of the Etihad Aviation Group (until 31 December 2017).

British Airways elevates food on SA flights Travelers flying between South Africa and London will now be able to experience British Airways‟ new restaurant-style dining experience. This forms part of its Club World – the airline‟s long haul business-class service. Flyers will now be able to make a selection from a new menu of freshly-prepared starters and desserts, which will be served from display trolleys. These meals will also be served on new table settings on all flights between Cape Town, Johannesburg and London. “There are four starters, including a soup or salad and meat and fish options such as carpaccio and salmon. This is followed by three entrees with choice of beef, fish or a vegetarian dish. There are five dessert choices, including a cheese board,” the airline said. British Airways added that the menu will also include a carefully curated selection of wine. “We‟ve really focused on attention to detail with the new Club World menu, with the aim of delivering a real restaurant experience in the sky,” said Colin Talbot, head of catering for British Airways. “We‟ve considered everything from the flavours and textures, to the look and feel, all of which have to work at altitude. The dishes are designed to pop with taste and the table settings are both elegant and practical, with thought-though details such as stemless wine glasses.” .

Jet Airways flight skids off runway in Riyadh airport A flight operated by Indian carrier Jet Airways skid off the runway at the King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Friday, with 151 passengers and crew members onboard. The incident led to a minor fire in the engine, and everyone onboard was safely evacuated. Flight 9W523, operated by a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, was heading to Mumbai on Friday morning. It was cancelled after the incident and the passengers either returned to their local residence or were accommodated in hotels. They were later booked on alternate flights to reach Mumbai. According to Saudi‟s Aviation Investigations Bureau, preliminary investigations found that the plane started its takeoff process from the K ground runway, allocated for planes‟ passing only, instead of the R33 designed for take-off, the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported. “As the plane was accelerating along the ground passage, the vision was bright without any obstacles. Then, the plane completed its ground journey up to the end of the passage‟s unpaved zone to stop in the vicinity of the exit of G4 ground passage,” it said. The report added that the fire fighting and rescue squad came to the scene in less than one minute after the plane stopped. The Aviation Investigation Bureau said it immediately opened an investigation into the incident along with the Indian Aviation Incidents Investigations Bureau. .

Dubai: Do you always love looking down at landscapes from an airplane? What if you can actually see or take a tour of the place that interests you, attend a concert in an opera house that‟s possibly down there or ride the ferris wheel, while still sitting on the plane? Some passengers bound to Dubai actually got to experience exactly that. German airline Lufthansa has recently developed an in-flight virtual reality (VR) prototype that lets flyers take a threedimensional (3D) tour of a place aboard an aircraft. The technology was developed in a way that allows passengers to check out the scenery on the ground as they fly over them, making the "glass-bottomed plane" a virtual reality. On one of its flights bound to Dubai, passengers wearing VR glasses were able to view the moving landscape below them as a 3D map and immerse themselves in places of interest as they took part in 360-degree virtual excursions. The passengers were on LH630 flight from Frankfurt to Dubai. They were the first to experience the airline‟s VR prototype.
