كتب حسٌن العمدة انتفض أعضاء لجنة السٌاحة ،ضد شرٌؾ فتحى ،وزٌر الطٌران المدنى ،بعد تصرٌحاته بوجود 7مطارات تعمل فقط من أصل 22مطار لدى مصر ،فضالً عن أن الطٌران المدنى ٌعانى من خسائر كبٌرة تمثل 3 أضعاؾ رأس المال لدٌه ،حٌث بلؽت خسارة مصر للطٌران العام الحالى 15ملٌار جنٌه ،ما دفع النواب للتؤكٌد على أن الوزارة بها فساد كبٌر ،مطالبٌن بالكشؾ عن المكافآت والحوافز للعاملٌن داخل الشركة.

قال النائب رشاد شكرى ،عضو مجلس النواب ولجنة السٌاحة والطٌران المدنى ،إن حدٌث شرٌؾ فتحى وزٌر الطٌران المدنى ،بؤن هناك 22مطارا مدنٌا فى مصر ٌعمل منهم 7فقط ،دلٌل على وجود فساد كبٌر داخل جهاز الطٌران ،وإهدار للمال العام ،وٌجب على مجلس النواب استدعاء الوزٌر لمعرفة أسباب توقؾ هذه المطارات عن العمل ،متابعا" :إحنا كؤعضاء برلمان مش هنسٌب أى حاجة فى فساد المطارات إال لما نناقشها فى انعقاد الدور الثانى، والبد من تقدٌم دراسة من الوزٌر عن كل مطار فى مصر". وأضاؾ "شكرى" ،فى تصرٌحات خاصة لـ"برلمانى" ،هنجر ٌ 7000عد من أفضل الهناجر الموجودة على مستوى العالم ،ألن به مركز صٌانة عالمى وال ٌوجد مثله فى منطقة الشرق األوسط ،وهناك 130 دولة من خارج مصر مشتركة لعمل صٌانة فى تلك الهناجر ،مإك ًدا أن خسائر الطٌران المدنى ٌسؤل عنها الوزٌر وٌجب محاسبة المسإول ،مشٌرا إلى وجود مطار بالوادى الجدٌد ال ٌعمل ومجهز بكل المعدات بشكل كامل ،واستدعٌنا الوزٌر وقال "القادمٌن من وإلى الوداى الجدٌد ال ٌؽطون مصارٌؾ الرحلة".

عضو بلجنة السٌاحة "خسائر مصر للطٌران نتٌجة لفشل الوزٌر" قال النائب الدكتور محمد عبده ،عضو مجلس النواب ولجنة السٌاحة والطٌران المدنى ،إن إعالن شرٌؾ فتحى وزٌر الطٌران المدنى بؤن خسائر مصر للطٌران وصلت إلى 15ملٌار جنٌه ،نتٌجة لـ"فشل الوزٌر فى إدارة مصر للطٌران وٌعكس عدم قدرة المسإولٌن فى تطوٌر المنظومة"، مضٌفا" :الزم نسؤل وزٌر الطٌران المدنى ماذا فعل للوزارة منذ تولٌة المنصب؟ ،ألن ما ٌحدث داخل مصر للطٌران نزٌؾ لدماء الدولة ،وتبدٌد وإهدار للمال العام". وأضاؾ "عضو مجلس النواب ولجنة السٌاحة والطٌران المدنى" ،فى تصرٌحات خاصة لـ"برلمانى" ،أنه ٌجب محاسبة المسإولٌن عن الفساد داخل وزارة الطٌران والكشؾ عن مبالػ الحوافز والمرتبات للعاملٌن مشٌرا إلى أنه ٌجب تحوٌل خسائر داخل مصر للطٌران ألن الوزارة تعانى من إهمال كبٌر وخسائر فادحة، ً مصر للطٌران إلى أرباح من خالل خطة ٌضعها الوزٌر لتطوٌر المنظومة.

تؤخر إقالع طائرة أبوظبى ساعة إللؽاء سفر أرجنتٌنى مرٌض
كتب ــ محمد عبدالناصر : تؤخر إقالع رحلة طٌران اإلتحاد المتجهة من مطار القاهرة الٌوم ،السبت ،إلى أبوظبى ساعة إلنزال حقائب راكب أرجنتٌنى وأسرته من الطائرة وإلؽاء سفرهم بعد إصابته بوعكة صحٌة مفاجئة وحالة قىء مستمر، واستؤنفت الطائرة رحلتها بدونهم. صرح الدكتور مدحت قندٌل ،مدٌر عام الحجر الصحى بالمطار ،بؤنه أثناء استعداد قائد رحلة طٌران االتحاد رقم 658لإلقالع إلى أبوظبى ،فوجئ بإصابة راكب أرجنتٌنى بحالة إعٌاء وقًء شدٌد ،وتوجه طبٌب الحجر الصحى إلى الطائرة ،وأوصى بعدم سفر الراكب ،وتم إنزال حقائب الراكب وأسرته المكونة من أربعة أفراد ،واستؤنفت الطائرة رحلتها بدونهم بعد تؤخٌر حوالى ساعة ،وعلٌها 118راكبا.

Boeing landed an US$18.6 billion deal with Qatar Airways for as many as 100 aircraft, providing a sales boost to the US company‟s upgraded 737 jetliner with one of the year‟s largest commercial airplane deals. The Doha-based carrier pledged to buy as many as 60 of the 737 Max 8 jet, valued at $6.9bn at list prices, marking its first narrow-body order with Boeing since 1979. Qatar Airways also ordered 40 total 777 and 787 Dreamliner twin-aisle aircraft, Akbar Al Baker, the airline‟s chief executive officer, and Boeing commercial airplane chief executive Ray Conner said Friday in Washington. With the commitment, Mr Al Baker made good on earlier threats to buy Boeing‟s 737 Max after rejecting initial A320neo deliveries from Airbus Group because of engine issues. The transaction also provided a vote of confidence in the Boeing jet, which is on pace to begin commercial service months ahead of schedule in the second quarter next year. Qatar Airways will take its first Max in 2018, Mr Al Baker said in an interview. He insisted the decision to pivot to the rival Boeing model wasn‟t intended as retaliation against the European planemaker. "There is no message to Airbus," he said. "We don‟t send messages by aircraft purchases to each other." The order gives a boost to Chicago-based Boeing, which, like Airbus, has been contending with sales slowed by economic uncertainty in Europe and Asia and a commodities downturn in Russia and Brazil. Meanwhile, relatively low fuel prices have damped demand for new, Dreamliner, the company‟s marquee carbon-fibre jet.

Delta Air Lines eyes Washington NationalWest Coast flights
Delta Air Lines (DL, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson) has applied for beyond-perimeter slot exemption atWashington National to enable the launch of flights to the US West Coast. In its application to the US Department of Transportation (DOT), Delta said it wanted to switch its current Washington National-Salt Lake City service to Washington National-Los Angeles Int'l, effective April 2017. At present, Washington National's operations are subject to a Perimeter Rule which limits non-stop service to 1,250 statute miles (2,011 kilometres). However, recent federal exemptions have seen the following extra-peripheral cities being served: Austin Bergstrom Int'l, Denver Int'l, Las Vegas McCarran, Los Angeles, Phoenix Sky Harbor, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, CA, San Juan Luis MuĂąoz Marin, Seattle Tacoma Int'l, and Portland Int'l, OR.

Qatar Airways places a large Boeing order for 30 787-9 Dreamliners, 10 777-300ERs and a LOI for up to 60 MAX 8s Qatar Airways and Boeing have announced an order for 30 787-9 Dreamliners (above) and 10 777-300ERs, valued at $11.7 billion at list prices, validating the value, reliability and performance of Boeing‟s twin-aisle airplanes. The airline also signed a Letter of Intent for up to 60 737 MAX 8s (below), valued at $6.9 billion at list prices. This announcement builds on Qatar Airways‟ current fleet of 84 Boeing aircraft, a combination of 787s and 777s, all delivered over the last nine years. With this new order, Qatar Airways increases its firm order backlog of Boeing widebody airplanes from 65 to 105, including 60 777Xs. The announcement was attended by the State of Qatar‟s Minister of Finance, His Excellency Ali Shareef Al Emadi, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Tony Blinken and the Ambassador of Qatar, His Excellency Mohammed Jaham Al-Kuwari. Qatar Airways‟ relationship with Boeing was renewed in 2006. Since then, there have been many milestones in the partnership. The airline was the first to operate the 787 in the Middle East and is a launch customer for the 777X. Charlotte Douglas ideally positioned for growth Charlotte Douglas International Airport (pictured) is ideally positioned to grow helped by intermodal transport links and Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) designation, economic affairs manager Stuart Hair tells staff writer James Muir. corridors. Ethiopian Airlines Windhoek flight takes off Ethiopian Airlines has commenced services to Windhoek, Namibia, via Gaborone, as of October 6, 2016. Windhoek is the capital and largest city of the Republic of Namibia, , headquartering most of the national enterprises and cultural institutions. Group CEO Ethiopian Airlines, Mr. Tewolde GebreMariam, said: “As a Pan-African airline, it has always been our source of pride to connect Africa together and to the rest of the world. The addition of Windhoek to our ever expanding network brings our African destinations to 52, the largest coverage unrivalled by any other carrier. Airlines Hail Historic ICAO Carbon Agreement Montreal - The International Air Transport Association (IATA) congratulated states which, under the leadership of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), have achieved an historic agreement to implement a marketbased measure that will support airlines‟ efforts to stabilize emissions with carbon neutral growth. The agreement was reached by states attending the 39th ICAO Assembly which concluded today in Montreal, Canada. ICAO‟s 191 member states agreed to implement a Carbon Offset and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA). “The historic significance of this agreement cannot be overestimated. CORSIA is the first global scheme covering an entire industrial sector. The CORSIA agreement has turned years of preparation into an effective solution for airlines to manage their carbon footprint. Aviation is a catalytic driver of social development and economic prosperity—it is the business of freedom making our world a better place. This agreement ensures that the aviation industry‟s economic and social contributions are matched with cutting-edge efforts on sustainability. With CORSIA, aviation remains at the forefront of industries in combatting climate change,” said Alexandre de Juniac, IATA‟s Director General and CEO. .

CORSIA is set to commence with a voluntary period (2021-2026) after which it will become mandatory. “The enthusiasm and commitment of states in the voluntary period is impressive. Even states that would normally not be required to participate—small island nations and developing economies—have shown their commitment by signing up. The list of states volunteering for the first phase now numbers 65, giving CORSIA which we estimate will cover more than 80% of growth post 2020. And we continue to encourage more states to join,” said de Juniac. By itself, CORSIA will not lead to a sustainable future for aviation. Along with this global market-based measure, the industry will continue to drive its four-pillar strategy on climate change, comprising improvements in technology, operations and infrastructure, complemented by CORSIA. “Today‟s agreement shows what can be accomplished when we work together. The aviation industry understands that sustainability is critical. Airlines will continue to invest in new technology— particularly new aircraft and sustainable alternative fuels —to improve their environmental performance. And we will continue to ask governments to do their part with investments to modernize air traffic management and with supportive polices to help commercialize sustainable alternative fuels for aviation,” said de Juniac. To ensure that CORSIA is fair and without market distortions, the scheme will include provisions to deal with special circumstances such as those of fast-growing airlines and airlines which have made significant investments to improve environmental performance already. “This agreement marks the end of the process to gather the political will to implement a global market-based measure for aviation. There is still a lot of technical work to ensure effective and efficient implementation; and to ensure the environmental integrity and administrative simplicity of the scheme. In the coming years we will be working closely with ICAO on capacity-building both for regulators and the industry,” said de Juniac.
