طرحت شركة مصر للطٌران تخفٌضاتها على العدٌد من وجهاتها حول العالم ،تقدم تخفٌضات على وجهات الدول العربٌة ،أولها عمان بنسبة ،%40شراء التذاكر حتى 22ماٌو الجاري ،والسفر حتى 30ماٌو الجاري ،كما تبدأ أسعار دبً من 5849جنٌها وشراء التذاكر حتى 20ماٌو والسفر حتى ٌ 30ونٌو المقبل ،كما تقدم تخفٌضا قدره %20على رحالت المغرب ،وٌمكن شراء التذاكر حتى 25ماٌو والسفر حتى 31ماٌو الجاري. وبحسب بٌان ،فإنه بالنسبة لواشنطن تقرر التخفٌض بنسبة %30على الدرجة السٌاحٌة ،وٌمكن شراء التذاكر حتى 31ماٌو الجاري والسفر ٌوم ٌ 3ونٌو المقبل ،بخالف رحالت فرانكفورت بنسبة %25على الدرجة السٌاحٌة ،وشراء التذاكر حتى 31ماٌو الجاري والسفر حتى ٌ 14ونٌو المقبل ،وكوبنهاجن بنسبة %30على الدرجة السٌاحٌة ،و %15على درجة رجال االعمال ،وشراء التذاكر حتى 31ماٌو الجاري والسفر حتى 10 ٌونٌو المقبل. كما تطرح الشركة أسعارا خاصة إلى كل من جوهانسبرج وأكرا والبحرٌن وجوانزو.

طٌران إٌطالٌا تتوقع تحقٌق أرباح "قرٌبا جدا" رغم أزمة بوٌنج
انضم مسؤول تنفٌذي بشركة طٌران إٌطالٌا إلى مجموعة من شركات الطٌران العالمٌة التً تضررت جراء وقف تشغٌل طائرات بوٌنج طراز 737ماكس ،لكنه ٌتوقع أن تحقق الناقلة اإلٌطالٌة ربحا "قرٌبا جدا" وأن ٌرتفع عدد مسافرٌها إلى 5أمثاله بحلول .2022 وقال روسن دٌمٌتروف مدٌر العملٌات فً طٌران إٌطالٌا" :طٌارو ماكس لدٌنا متوقفون عن العملٌ ،جلسون هناك وال ٌفعلون شٌئا". كانت طٌران إٌطالٌا التً تتخذ من سردٌنٌا مقرا لها ،التً جرى تدشٌنها العام الماضً ،تستخدم 3طائرات ماكس فً تسٌٌر رحالت إلى شرم الشٌخ والقاهرة ودكار قبل أن توقف الجهات التنظٌمٌة فً أنحاء العالم تشغٌل طائرات بوٌنج التً حققت مبٌعات سرٌعة فً أعقاب حادثٌن دامٌٌن. وحذرت شركات طٌران أكبر حجما من أن وقف تشغٌل الطائرات 737ماكس ٌؤثر سلبا على اإلٌرادات والتكالٌف، حٌث ٌقدر حجم الضرر بمئات المالٌٌن من الدوالرات. غٌر أن شركة طٌران إٌطالٌا التً تتكبد خسائر ،والمملوكة لشركة ألٌساردا اإلٌطالٌة القابضة والخطوط الجوٌة القطرٌة ،تتوقع تحقٌق ربحٌة "قرٌبا جدا" ،بحسب ما قاله دٌمٌتروف. وأحجم دٌمٌتروف عن الخوض فً تفاصٌل ،لكنه قال إن المساهمٌن "سعداء" بخطة العمل الخمسٌة التً أطلعتهم علٌها الشركة وتضعها على المسار صوب نقل 10مالٌٌن مسافر سنوٌا بحلول ،2022مقارنة مع 2.4ملٌون حتى اآلن. بٌد أن توسع طٌران إٌطالٌا فً الوالٌات المتحدة ٌواجه تدقٌقا من المشرعٌن فً واشنطن ،الذٌن ٌقولون إنها قد تنتهك التزاما قطعه مساهمها الخطوط الجوٌة القطرٌة المملوكة للدولة ،التً تملك حصة نسبتها %49فً الناقلة اإلٌطالٌة ،بعدم إضافة رحالت جدٌدة إلى السوق األمرٌكٌة. وٌقول المشرعون إن المسارات األمرٌكٌة قد تنتهك اتفاق طٌران أبرم فً عام 2018بٌن الوالٌات المتحدة وقطر بهدف تبدٌد المخاوف األمرٌكٌة من حصول شركات الطٌران الخلٌجٌة على دعم غٌر عادل من حكومات دولها ،مما ٌقوض المنافسة. ونفى دٌمٌتروف هذه المزاعم واصفا إٌاها بأنها "عارٌة تماما من الصحة" ،وقال إن قطر مساهم أقلٌة ال ٌدٌر عملٌات طٌران إٌطالٌا التً تمتثل امتثاال كامال للقواعد األوروبٌة.

A Biman Bangladesh Airlines plane has crashed on landing this evening on the runway at Yangon International Airport, aviation sources told The Myanmar Times. The S2-AGQ - Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 was seen in pictures received by The Myanmar Times lying on the grass near the runway. Dhaka-headquartered Biman Bangladesh Airlines, known as Biman, is the national flag carrier of Bangladesh. Posts on social media suggest that the aircraft skid off the runway. Both wings of the plane appear to be broken and fire fighters were at the site. A source from the airport confirmed that the incident took place during landing. There are no fatalities so far. 1 Biman plane skids off Yangon airport runway
A Biman Bangladesh Airlines plane skidded off the runway in Yangon International Airport yesterday. Shakil Meraj, general manager of public relations for Biman Bangladesh Airlines, said that the S2-AGQ - Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 skidded off the runway while landing around 6:22pm due to bad weather. A total of 19 people, including a child and the plane’s two pilots, were injured and taken to a clinic of the airport for treatment, according to officials of Biman and Bangladesh mission in Myanmar. Shakil said that there were four crew members and 29 passengers from Bangladesh, Myanmar, Canada, China, India, France, and Switzerland on board. He said a special Biman flight left Dhaka for Yangon at 11:25pm after receiving permission from Myanmar Civil Aviation to bring back the passengers and crew. ―Operating Captain Anis and First Officer Tabassum are flying it,‖ he added. Shakil hoped that the special flight may return to Dhaka around 6am with the victim passengers and crew. Photographs on social networking sites, including Facebook, showed the plane lying on the grass beside the runway in Yangon airport. Yangon airport did not confirm the crash but announced that heavy rain had caused them to suspend "runway operations until further notice," reports AFP. Other incoming flights were diverted to the capital, Naypyidaw.

2 Biman’s Flight BG-060 took off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka around 3:45pm. Another senior Biman official said: "To the best of my knowledge, there were no deaths in the mishap. "Due to bad weather, the aircraft skidded off the runway injuring some passengers and two pilots.‖ Bangladesh Ambassador to Myanmar Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury told Dhaka Tribune that the aircraft’s front wheel broke during landing, amid rain coupled with strong wind. The aircraft fuselage broke in three and the undercarriage collapsed, according to the Aviation Safety Network, which covers air accident and safety issues. The ambassador said: "Nineteen people have been injured and were taken to the airport clinic. However, 11 of them have been released after they received treatment.‖ "Two mission officials are currently at the clinic. I am also on my way there,‖ he added. On March 12 last year, 49 people were killed after another Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 turboprop plane of US Bangla Airlines with 71 passengers and crew crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport in Nepal's Kathmandu.

China Airlines opts for A321neos and 777 Freighters China Airlines has opted for the Airbus A321neo to replace its narrowbody fleet, and has also signed a deal for six Boeing 777 Freighters. The Taiwanese carrier – which currently has a narrowbody fleet that comprises 18 737s, Cirium's Fleets Analyzer shows – says itwill first lease 14 A321neos, to enter service from 2021, and will also start negotiations for an additional 11 firm orders and five options. "After assessing all relevant aircraft features and considering the congestion of neighboring airports in Asia, China Airlines have selected Airbus A321neo as the optimum aircraft for the regional narrowbody operations," the airline states. It has separately disclosed a memorandum of understanding with Boeing for three firm 777 Freighters, plus three options, as it looks to replace some older 747-400F jets in service. The new cargo aircraft are to be operated on routes to Europe and North America.

French strike and ATC restrictions to disrupt European flights Airlines across Europe are bracing for another summer of flight disruption, as French air traffic controllers prepare to strike for the first time this summer later today and operators face restrictions related to ATC capacity issues. The 35h walkout in France, part of widespread strike action across the country, is set to start at 19:00 local time today and end at 05:00 on 10 May. Network manager Eurocontrol says it is hard to predict disruptions, but has asked operators to reduce flight programmes by 30% at Paris Orly, Lyon, Marseille and Toulouse airports. Among those to be hit is UK low-cost carrier EasyJet, which says around 65% of its flights pass through French airspace. Airlines have warned repeatedly that passengers should expect disruption this summer as a result of expected strikes, staff shortages and congestion as Europe's skies struggle to keep up with growing travel demand. Eurocontrol says that ATC staffing issues, weather, an increase in traffic and a lack of capacity had resulted in 25.6 million minutes of air traffic flow management (ATFM) delay in 2018. With each minute costing users around €70, that resulted in an additional cost of €1.7 billion ($1.9 billion) for airspace users. This year, Eurocontrol warns, "could be just as bad, as the overall network capacity is less than it was in 2018". The network manager has therefore started a mitigation plan, agreed with national service providers and airspace users, which aims to remove more than 1,000 flights a day from the system. "This will entail an additional cost for airspace users as they will not be able to fly their preferred routes/vertical profiles – but it will be a sacrifice in a good cause: helping to control ATFM delay," Eurocontrol says. Slovenian carrier Adria Airways said on 7 May that delays were inevitable and that a demanding period was approaching.. "In our daily operations we are already facing the first consequences of restrictions of European airspace, and there will be significantly more of them during the summer," states Adria's chief operating officer Tadej Notersberg.

1 Air Italy plans North American growth despite US protests Air Italy plans to announce at least two additional North American destinations for the summer of 2020, as the airline expands transatlantic service despite opposition from US legacy carriers. The carrier also hopes to unveil its first US interline partner later this year, chief operating officer Rossen Dimitrov tells FlightGlobal. He declines to specify the new destinations pending agreements with airport operators, but says one of the two will likely be seasonal. In addition, Air Italy sees potential for one of its two Californian destinations – Los Angeles and San Francisco – to convert to year-round service in 2020, says Dimitrov. The Italian carrier recently added seasonal service to Toronto from Milan Malpensa, after launching seasonal flights from Milan to both Los Angeles and San Francisco. It plans to suspend US seasonal flights later this year in favour of destinations like the Maldives, Mombasa, Tenerife and Zanzibar. Air Italy serves Miami and New York John F Kennedy year-round. Its expansion across the Atlantic is unfolding as Air Italy becomes the focus of a years-long campaign backed by three US mainline carriers, which allege that Air Italy's 49% shareholder Qatar Airways is using the smaller carrier as a proxy to expand into the USA. The US airlines – American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines – are backed by their unions in the lobbying coalition, called The Partnership for Open and Fair Skies. Dimitrov, who dismisses the allegations as "baseless", says the campaign by the US carriers will have no impact on how Air Italy expands its North American network. "Why should it? We are a European airline which is completely compliant with regulations," says Dimitrov.

2 Despite Qatar Airways' stake in Air Italy, the Italian carrier does not codeshare with the Doha-based carrier on its routes to the USA from Milan, points out Dimitrov. "It has always been the case," he says. "Let them [the US carriers] prove we've done it." Air Italy does not carry Qatar Airways' code on any flights, Cirium schedules data show. The Gulf airline carries Air Italy's code on routes between Doha and four Italian destinations, according to schedules. The campaign by the three US legacy carriers has made it difficult for any potential partnerships, as Air Italy seeks its first interline and codeshare deals across the Atlantic. "We will be happy to work with American, Delta and United, I have all respect for them. Instead of us fighting, we could work together," says Dimitrov. The Italian carrier, in the meantime, is in talks with other potential US partners. "In terms of the interline, we might be able to announce something this year as long as the work gets completed," he says. An interline agreement will be the first step towards forming a codeshare partnership, he adds, saying Air Italy could potentially partner more than one US carrier. Given the dominance of the US legacy carriers, Air Italy will not have many other US airlines to choose from if it wants a codeshare partnership with substantial coverage from its year-round US destinations of Miami and New York JFK. At JFK, JetBlue Airways is likely the best option. New York-based JetBlue, which has partnerships with several foreign carriers, is the second largest airline at the airport after Delta. American operates more than half of the capacity out of Miami, Cirium schedules data show. Aside from the US legacy carriers, only Frontier Airlines operates US domestic service from Miami.

Nejran, Saudi Arabia resumes commercial ops
Saudia (SV, Jeddah) will resume scheduled flights to Nejran on May 18, chaviation schedule analysis has revealed. The Saudi national carrier suspended its services to the Kingdom's southwestern city, located near the border with Yemen, in 2015 when the settlement came under repeated mortar attacks from Houthi rebels in Yemen. flydubai (FZ, Dubai Int'l) also suspended its flights from Dubai Int'l at the same time and has yet to return to Nejran, an airport that only opened for the first time in 2011. Saudi Arabia is embroiled in the ongoing conflict in Yemen against the rebels, who are widely seen as a proxy for Iran. However, with the conflict geographically more distant, Najran's airport reopened on May 6 after a fouryear closure, according to the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation. Flights will operate daily from both Jeddah and Riyadh starting May 18 using A320 and A321 aircraft.

This largely was owing to the timing of the Easter holiday, which fell nearly a month later than in 2018. On a seasonally-adjusted basis, the underlying growth rate has been relatively steady since October 2018 at a 4.1% annualized pace. Capacity (available seat kilometers or ASKs) for the month of March grew 4.2% and load factor dropped 0.9 percentage point to 81.7%. ―While traffic growth slowed considerably in March, we do not see the month as a bellwether for the rest of 2019. Nevertheless, the economic backdrop has become somewhat less favorable, with the IMF having recently revised its GDP outlook downward for a fourth time in the past year,‖ said Alexandre de Juniac, IATA’s Director General and CEO.

2 International Passenger Markets March international passenger demand rose just 2.5% compared to March 2018, which was down from 4.5% year-over-year growth recorded in February and almost 5 percentage points below its five-year average pace. All regions showed growth with the exception of the Middle East. Total capacity climbed 4.0%, and load factor fell 1.2 percentage points to 80.8%. European carriers saw March demand increase 4.7% over March 2018, down from 7.5% annual growth in February. The result partly reflects falling business confidence in the Eurozone and ongoing uncertainty about Brexit. March capacity rose 5.4% and load factor slid 0.6 percentage point to 84.2%, which still was the highest among regions. Asia-Pacific airlines’ traffic climbed 2.0% in March, compared to the year-ago period, which was down from 4% growth in February. However, results were stronger on a seasonally-adjusted basis. Capacity increased 4.0%, and load factor dropped 1.6 percentage points to 80.1%. Middle East carriers’ passenger demand fell 3.0% in March, marking a second consecutive month of declining traffic. This reflects the broader structural changes in the industry which have been taking place in the region. Capacity increased 2.3%, and load factor plunged 4.0 percentage points to 73.8%. North American airlines posted a 3.0% traffic rise in March compared to the yearago period, which was down somewhat from 4.2% year-on-year growth in February. On a seasonally-adjusted basis, traffic has been trending strongly upwards, however. Capacity climbed 2.6% and load factor edged up 0.3 percentage point to 83.7%. Latin American airlines had the fastest traffic growth at 5.5%, compared to a year ago, up from 4.6% in February. March capacity rose 5.8%, and load factor dipped 0.2 percentage point to 81.9%. Latin America was the only region to show an increase in the year-on-year growth rate for March compared to February. In seasonallyadjusted terms traffic continues to trend upward sharply, notwithstanding economic and political uncertainty in some key countries. African airlines’ demand increased 2.1% compared to March 2018, down from a 2.5% rise in February. Capacity climbed 1.1%, and load factor strengthened 0.7 percentage point to 71.4%. The upward traffic trend has softened since mid-2018 in line with falling business confidence in some of the region’s key economies.

India’s domestic traffic rose just 3.1% in March, down from February’s growth of 8.3% and well-off the torrid five-year average growth pace of close to 20% per month. The slowdown largely reflects the reduction in flight operations of Jet Airways—which stopped flying in April—as well as disruptions at Mumbai airport owing to construction. Australia’s domestic traffic fell 3.2% in March, marking the fifth consecutive month of contracting demand.

4 The Bottom Line ―Despite March’s slowdown, the outlook for air travel remains solid. Global connectivity has never been better. Consumers can choose from more than 21,000 city pair combinations on more than 125,000 daily flights. And air fares continue to decline in real terms. Aviation is truly the Business Freedom for the more than 12.5 million passengers who will board flights each day. But it also remains extremely challenging, as the recent failures of Jet Airways and WOW Air illustrate. Airlines compete intensely with one another, but they also cooperate in areas such as safety, security, infrastructure and the environment, to ensure that aviation can accommodate a forecast doubling in demand by 2037.
