 Dye House  Laboratory:

Colour Laboratory

Datacolor SF600 Spectrophotometer: equipped with DataMatch and DataTools software. This allows a customer's standard to be measured in to the spectrophotometer or spectral data to be typed in. Standards can also be received as QTX files and can be downloaded into the spectrophotometer. Datacolor Autolab SPS Solution Maker and Mixing Station This ensures the accurate dissolving of dyes

Datacolor Autolab TF 80 Bottle Dispenser The recipe is downloaded from the spectrophotometer to the dispenser. The dispenser then will dispense out each dyestuff into the laboratory dye pot along with the Salt and other auxiliary chemical required, and ensures that the final liquor ratio is correct. This machine gives much greater accuracy than if a technician is to do it by hand, it also frees up the technician to do other tasks while it is dispensing. Datacolor Ahiba Nuance Eco Laboratory Dyeing Machine This machine is fully programmed to follow the time and temperature profiles used on bulk production. It alarms when technicians are required to add alkali to the pots by injection or to remove the dyeings from the machine. It is infra red heated and capable of dyeing temperatures up to 140oc allowing polyester to be dyed. The soaping off the lab dyeings also takes place in this machine. Datacolor Conditioning Cabinet All lab dyeings and production batches are put in the conditioning cabinet for at least 20 minutes before measurement. This ensures that all dyeings are at a constant 20oc and 50% Relative Humidity before measurement takes place, because different temperatures and humidity can affect the shade. SDL Atlas Colour Cabinet Lab dyes and production are viewed in the light cabinet to ensure that all dyeings are a good visual match as well as good match with the spectrophotometer. The illuminants for each customer are used. The samples are assessed under multiple illuminants to ensure that the samples are not metameric to the standard.
