Premium Reports The R&A team successfully published its report entitled “The Economic Reform Program: Tracking the Implications for Egypt’s Petroleum Sector” in August 2018. It investigates the impact of the IMF-backed economic reform program on the petroleum sector. It is the first report of its kind; bringing together and analyzing a wide range of data into one document. It features comparative analysis of IMF data and figures published by the Egyptian government, demonstrating the differing visions of Egypt’s economic trajectory. By connecting these pieces, EOG R&A sheds light onto the changes witnessed by the sector over the past two years. This will enable investors and industry stakeholders to make more informed decisions.
Another report entitled“Egypt: The Future Regional Natural Gas Hub” was published in November 2018. Egypt is closer than ever to becoming the Eastern Mediterranean’s natural gas energy hub. The African country is moving steadily towards reaching natural gas self-sufficiency in 2019 and even resuming exporting activities by 2020. Ahead of these historic milestones, EOG R&A has dug deeper into the available natural gas data from 2010-2017. This comprehensive analysis of the domestic gas market will enable our clients to track even the smallest changes in the sector, and help forecast its future prospects.
