Information about how to access free in person counseling services are available on the site as well. www.familiesnearandfar.org/login/ website geared towards preschool through elementary school aged children and their parents. The easy to use tools can help children stay connected with deployed family members though art, music, and letters. News & Information: st Walk to Afghanistan & Back- Total miles to date: 8,073.75! Next miles collection starts April 1 ! Help us spread the word to get folks to turn in miles. They can submit them via the WTAAB Facebook page or by email them to cab_wtaab@gmail.com Be sure to include the Battalion that you belong to so we know where to credit the miles. CAB WTAAB Walking Group- meeting weekly on Wednesdays at 8:30am at the Watts Field Walking Track on Schofield for the remainder of the deployment. Open to anyone who wants to get out and walk with other Family Members and meet new people while supporting the Walk to Afghanistan and Back Program. This is a child friendly group as the track is stroller friendly and is away from the road so kids can walk and play safely. For more information please contact Lessa at 656-1220. Upcoming Community Events: PT in the Park- Join Eddie the Eagle & Friends and participate with our Soldiers and their Families in a 30 minute Mousercise Aerobic routine followed by a Continental Breakfast. Tuesday, April 3, 2012 from 6:30 - 7:30 am at the Bennett Youth Center Field, Schofield Barracks. For more information call: 655-6465. MWR Fun Fest & Earth Day Celebration- Weyand Field, Schofield Barracks on Saturday, 4/7/2012, 8:30am – 2pm Grand Prize for the event is a trip for two and accommodations for two nights at Kilauea Military Camp (KMC) on the Big Island. Fun Fest Activities include entertainment, games, rides, inflatables, and pictures with the Easter Bunny. Purple-Up for Military Kids- Operation: Military Kids (OMK) is encouraging everyone to wear purple on Friday, April 13th as visible way to thank military children for their strength and sacrifices. Please help spread the word.
