We often find that many people do not register their Children for Child, Youth and School Services (CYSS) and are unaware of the what the program has to offer. Here are a few reasons why you should register for CYSS: 1. It’s FREE. 2. Access to part-time or full-time childcare programs at any of the Hawaii Army Child, Development Centers (CDC) and Family Child Care (FCC) for eligible children and youth 4 weeks through 18 years of age. 3. Access to hourly child care services at Hawaii Army CDCs. 4. FREE Kids-on-Site Childcare for FRG Meetings and Briefings (when available). 5. Access to School Age Services that offers a variety of programs including before and after school care, full-day programs during school vacations, open recreation program, and Summer Day Camps. 6. Access to Parent’s Night Out– have a special night out on the town while your children are cared for at a CDC facility. Held twice monthly on Saturday evenings from 6pm to 11pm. 7. CYSS Sports and Fitness Programs are for children ages 5 through 18. CYSS Registration is required for any of the On Post Sports Programs. 8. Access to the SKIES Program which encompasses instructional programs and classes designed to complement and support the experiences of military children. Some classes available are karate, cooking, tutoring, dance , and more! 9. Access to the Hawaii Army Teen Centers for children ages 11-18. Teen Centers offer a place for teens to hang out and provide supervised, fun, and safe programs and events. 10. Access to the EDGE Program - out of school opportunities for 6-18 year-old children to experience, develop, grow and excel by participation in “cutting-edge” art, fitness, life skills, and adventure activities. 11. Blue Star Card Program offers 16 FREE hours of hourly childcare from CYSS for children 6 weeks through 12 years old, 20% off full and part time care, $2 per hour rate for hourly care, up to $100 for CYSS Team or individual Registration per child per deployment, up to $300 for SKIES classes per deployment per child, and FREE EDGE Program Fees for the first week of every month.
