Iraqi Christians targeted by gangs A human rights organisation believes the rise in violence again Christian minorities is Iraq is part of a broader strategy to drive them out of the country. U.S, Washington, D.C. (ANS): The body of a kidnapped five-year-old Christian boy was discovered riddled with gunshots in Iraq on May 11. International Christian Concern (ICC) www.persecution.org learned that Tony Adwar Shaweel was kidnapped on March 5, 2009, by an unknown group who demanded a ransom of $50,000. ICC says the identity of Tony’s kidnappers and murderers is still unknown. However, Christians in Iraq have been increasingly targeted by criminal gangs, Islamic extremists and other armed groups as part of a broader strategy to drive the Iraqi Christian population from the country. Despite these appalling conditions, the media rarely reports violence against Christians in Iraq. In a statement to ICC, Juliana Taimoorazy, president of the Iraqi Christian Relief Council, said, “We want to live peacefully side by side with the other citizens in Iraq. this situation has long gone unnoticed.” “It is also a clear sign of the danger that all Iraqi Christians face in the country. we call upon the Iraqi and the United States Government to put an end to the systematic extermination of Christians from Iraq.”

“they say in” Liberia - AFRICA
Bruised drug addict and criminal ministered to by an Every Home for Christ Worker
“We are reaching out every day to drug addicts in the ghetto. We are seeing
drug addicts, come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ like never before.”
“The Heart of Man Chart as shown above has
consistently proven to be very very effective in Liberia – Simply put, it is the best. We believe this is probably so firstly, because of the high illiteracy rate in the country. Current statistics tell us that it is as high as 80%. People who cannot read and write can easily identify the creatures on the Chart and their characteristics. In all my life here I have never seen the people open up to the gospel like this. We are preaching to people in their homes, in the streets,
even around the roads to the mosques. Many of them would stop and listen, and some of them would even accept the booklets. We are also experiencing considerable growth in the churches. Pastor James Kollie of the Domion Christian Fellowship in Gbarnga testifies that this church in four weeks grew from 175 to approximately 300 persons using Every Home for Christ gospel literature. He said in one Sunday, they received up to 46 first time visitors.

Fifty percent of the population of Honduras is under the age of 19.
EHC’s pioneer missionaries also took the Gospel to the isolated Xicaques and Tolupanes Indians. A group of Baptist missionaries is now continuing the effort, ministering to believers and meeting pressing humanitarian needs among the neglected tribes. Fifty percent of the population of Honduras is under the age of 19. EHC’s gospel outreaches to youth are also bearing fruit. A new Christ Group with 25 members was established following a campaign in Venecia,
near the Honduran Techno-logical University. Many of the new members are students. Humberto recently shared the Gospel and the EHC vision with more than 3,000 young people at the National Youth Baptist Camp. An 88-year-old woman named Francisca Javiela Gómez accepted Christ 25 years ago in response to an EHC outreach in Barrio Las Palmas. Over the years, Francisca has led her children, grandchildren and
neighbours to Christ, by sharing her testimony and EHC literature. She also has a prayer and Biblestudy group meeting in her home. “All the time she expresses her gratitude to the Lord and Every Home for Christ for the work we do, going house to house with the Gospel of Jesus Christ,” Humberto says. “Hers is another triumphant testimony that the

seeds we have sown have yielded a harvest of eternity in the life of this precious sister.” Nationwide, EHC is working with local churches to share the Gospel home to home and with students, hospital patients, prison inmates, factory workers, and senior citizens living in retirement communities. “Praise the Lord for the growth and revival of the local churches in our country and for the freedom we have of preaching and taking the Word of God anywhere in our nation,” Humberto says. “We are taking advantage of this open door and we are making efforts to reach every person who needs God. Glory to God!”
