OUR HISTORY
OUR OBJECTIVES
Eddah’s Hope Cancer Foundation was established in 2011, and officially registered as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in May 2013. The organization seeks to promote and provide easily accessible information that will reduce cancer morbidity and mortality in Kenya.
• Raise cancer awareness among the youth • Catalyze research into detection, prevention and treatment of cancer • Provide long lasting solutions and advocate youth involvement. • Create a hub of cancer knowledge transfer • Promote and encourage lifestyles changes within the youth
Founded after the loss of Mama Eddah, the foundation has been able to fulfill this mandate by running sensitization programs and campaigns that provide free and easy access to cancer related information and support. As the target group is mainly the youth, these programs and campaigns evolve around fun and youthful activities that pave the way for the easier dissemination of information and set the stage for screening sessions, counseling & support

The purpose of the outreach program is to disseminate vital information in a fun, friendly and interactive way through rig traversing to the marginalized and the lower income housing areas by equipping the youth with practical ways of managing and curbing the spread of cancer.
The scope of the program is to educate and sensitize the participants on the obvious signs and symptoms to watch out for with regards to cancer, and to promote and encourage the participants to embrace the preventive culture through regular check-ups and living healthy lifestyles.
