Driven by the rise of the chronic disease population, the mar-

ket is forecast to grow by 3.8 percent annually until 2015 to reach US $7.2 billion. The growth in the patient monitoring market is driven by wireless and ambulatory monitoring and micro electromechanical systems, promoted by an increased desire for flexibility.
