ALUMNI EHS Community, It is difficult to grasp that my tenure as president of the EHS Alumni Directors Council is coming to an end. For the past four years, I was fortunate enough to be elected, first as a member, then vice president, and ultimately president. I can truly say it has been an honor. This past year has been nothing short of surprising! EHS was ready to take on COVID-19 in a timely manner from the start. We were one of the few schools able to shift to online learning at just a few days’ notice. Even when I was a student at EHS (which, admittedly feels like decades ago), we have always been at the forefront of technology and evolving our learning culture. The dedication from teachers, staff, board members and alumni leadership to push our standards forward and continue to innovate is unrivaled. We have been able to achieve phenomenal milestones this year despite unprecedented hurdles. EHS was able to host its first virtual alumni leadership program where we were able to connect alumni from around the country with our current students. This allowed our students to grasp a better understanding of career paths outside of Texas. I would like to thank all the alumni who helped this past year, as well as our previous presidents, the Alumni Advancement community, and the alumni office (Ashley Long, Margaret Young, Ikechi “Chief” Achilefu ’03). And of course, every student who has been engaged with our department – we appreciate your support. Ultimately, we believe in setting a precedent in which our Four Pillars are the hallmark of a student’s life going forward, and we could not have done it without our team! My last request as President is to ask our alumni and soon-to-be graduates to please connect with our EHS family. Our community, unique culture, and active alumni network make EHS what it is today, and what it will be in the future. Once again, thank you all for an amazing four years on the Directors Council, and thank you to all my fellow alumni for the help, time, talent, and advice this past year. Once a Knight, always a Knight! Have a great year! Go Knights! Naseeb Nuseibeh ’11 P.S. Save the date for next spring’s Alumni Weekend—April 8-9 and 11, 2022!
